Called the customer service line to ask about return policy on video cards. After waiting on hold for half an hour I got a CSR that asked me "what's a video card?" Got put on hold again while she went to ask someone. If Staples wants to be a tech store like Best Buy they should at least have proper product knowledge (or teach CSRs to use Google). I went to an online forum to ask about Staples' return policy and got an answer in 5 min. Staples lost a $700 sale from me.

I brought in 2 computers, a brand new one still in the box and my old one to have the profiles and data transferred to the new computer. They first told me 1 to 3 days. On day 3 I called and my computer hadn't even been worked on. I asked, "when it would be ready?" They said, "tomorrow." I said, "ok." I called on that Monday to find out my computer still hadn't been touched. When I asked when it would be ready they said, "we don't close until 9 pm." I went to the store the 6th day to find out what was going on. They said, "it was all done," but I asked for a manager because of the runaround for how long it took without one single phone call after the 3rd day had come and gone.

Today, my laboratory instructing partner and I went to Staples to print a large poster. As teaching instructors we often have the need to print posters under short notice as we are at the mercy of our professors. When we asked the woman working at the printing centre if we could their express printing service she looked at us as if we had asked her to donate us a kidney. She was not remotely helpful, accommodating or apologetic when she told us that she would not print our poster for the next three days.

I recommend that everyone stop shopping at Staples. The CEO's letter identifies that the organization is about integrity and customer focus, that was the farthest from my experience. My situation was that a Supervisor (Anthony) indicated they would match a price at a competitor (We spoke about every specific. He identified the exact next steps I would need to take and I followed them precisely). I was instructed to return to the store on the Friday after Thanksgiving with my receipt. Upon return, the store manager (Ryan) indicated that they would not match pricing. Had I known, I would have taken another approach (based upon timing that option was no longer available).

During the last weekend in November Staples ran an ad for a Lowe's $100 gift card to cost $90. The ad ran and expires 12-5. Today, 12-4 I went in to get a GC and they were out. I asked about rain checks... They don't DO rain checks. I said "You do not have enough stock." The girl shrugs her shoulders; she calls manager, "no don't do rain checks."

I placed an order of IPAD online for a black friday deal. 1 week later, I still didn't receive the item and I called the customer services. She at first told me the order is canceled because of Out of stock. Then I said "I received order confirmation after placing the order". Then she said cannot verify my credit card information. I clearly told her the billing address and it's correct. But she still said she cannot verify my information.

They advertise a coupon online for 5 reams of paper for just $5.00. Purchase the paper waiting for my $5.00 to ring up. I tell the cashier the paper is $5.00 not $25.00. I was told there is a rebate and she hands me the receipt with a rebate receipt. I fill for the rebate and it turn out it's a gift card from Visa. So the paper now cost me $25.00 not $5.00. I could get a check when the card come to call the number on the back of gift card ask for a check be mailed to me. I said, "Ya, right." I want a check from Staples so I can put it toward my cc. Staples refuses. There is nowhere on the coupon or in the newspaper stating you are going to get a gift card. Not a check for a rebate of $20.00. This is fraud to me, or switch or bait. Not Kosher this deal. I would never buy anything in Staples again. I am a good customer with them for my business.

I had placed an order at staples.com on the black Friday eve on 26th Nov at around 8 am for iPad air 2. I received the order confirmation email immediately.Once I had placed the order at staples I didn't bother to order the item with its competitors at the black Friday offers. Staples sent me a cancellation order on 27th Nov morning after 24 hours of placing the order. By doing so staples has successfully barred me from going ahead and purchasing the items from its competitors during the black Friday deals window. This is unethical way of beating the competition and cheating your customers.

Our nonprofit was told that our local staples would print an event banner for a fundraiser. We spent an hour and a half in the store waiting patiently while the employee Liz waited on several customers while we were designing our banner. After the order was complete, we were told it would be a couple hours before it would be ready and they would call us. Our closest staples is 35 minutes away so we ate lunch and did some other shopping while we waited.

It was the Wednesday before Thanksgiving 2015 and my husband was working furiously to complete a project when he realized that he could not print his document because the printer required a replacement ink cartridge. Unfortunately, it was a University Project that required a midnight deadline that once sent, could not later be retrieved and printed and it was already getting to be late evening. We live in a rural town that does not have a local Staples store. I called the Gilroy Staples and asked the manager, Michael **, what time the Gilroy Staples closed. The store manager immediately understood the difficulty of us driving over an hour to the Gilroy Staples over a difficult, if not dangerous mountain pass to purchase the toner and then try to return in time (on the most busiest day of the year) to print and close out the university account by midnight.

I applied online for the Staples more account for business and was told 7-10 days I would have it. The rudeness goes from store to phone almost instantly. They said "Sorry, I can send one out next day via UPS." Now it's # days from December and I still have not gotten it yet. The customer service really sucks now and they don't give a damn. I can't imagine doing business with this dumbass company if they can't mail a card, what happens to the bills??? Really?!? I WANT MY CARD DAMMIT!!!

Went to store to get offered rebate on 10 ream of paper for $39.99. I have done this several times and gotten ripped off once before. The checkout person ignored my request for rebate and rung up my paper for 54.99 and looked at me blankly. Only after refusing to leave the cash register and insisting to see the manager was a paper rebate offered to me. When I submitted this to STAPLES I get this postcard in return, which doesn't describe the problem or offer a reasonable solution. It's a shame that a big store like Staples rips good customers off repeatedly and willfully!

I ordered an item online, paid for it with a credit card, and opted to pick up item at a nearby store, in 1 business day, as per online promise. The next day, I get a call from Canada: message said I had to call them, no other information given. I called, no answer. I called customer service, they had no information. I had to call Canada, so I spoke to a supervisor and told her to have Canada call me. Canada never called. Later that day, I called Canada. I keep referring to Canada, because I had no information besides that, courtesy of my caller ID.

They don't care about the customer. Otherwise, their system would make things easy for customers. I placed an order, about a week later received an email that it was delivered. I contacted Staples online to ask them where it was delivered, because it wasn't sent to home. The support rep said it was not delivered due to some problem and that someone would contact me about it. Two more weeks passed, no one contacted me. I contacted Staples again and they said the item was delivered to local Staples, but they didn't give a hoot if the item was still there. They didn't bother to follow through, even after I was so frustrated with them. They don't care if the customer is unhappy.

I hate this store. It used to be a pretty good office supply store until they decided to become a tech store instead. Now, especially with the new manager they brought in from the defunct Bullhead store, they can't do ANYTHING right. The print shop has destroyed prints that have been brought in for mounting, print orders have been done completely wrong or damaged in shipping (my last order had to be redone multiple times before they got it right). No one will assist you with anything any longer and everyone from the manager on down is really rude.

I recently visited the STAPLES store at 7131 W 135, in overland park to buy the iPad. There was a sales REP named **, who was helping me or at least pretend to help. He was such a rude guy that I would never visit STAPLES again in my lifetime. The guy was so ill mannered, he did not know how to talk to customers, was totally manner less. He did not even know how to operate a computer. There was kiosk in the store and I asked him to show me the different options available for iPad. The guy said its not working and he has to go check in the back office. After he went, I simply search on the kiosk and found different options. He came back after 20 minutes with a piece of paper with different configurations, but none of the iPad with more than 64 GB were available in the store.

I went to Staples in Paramus, NJ on Oct 8, 2015 for an android upgrade. I purposely asked the employees if my voicemails would transfer. I was told absolutely. I asked numerous times. These voicemails were so IMPORTANT being they were from my deceased husband who just passed in April. All 14 of them were gone. They never transferred. They were gone forever. I got in touch with Verizon who for weeks were trying to help retrieve them but STAPLES screwed up. I called Staples and was treated very poorly by all managers I spoke to. Not an apology - nothing. I am beyond sick and livid. These are something that cannot be replaced. Incompetence at its best. Besides taking care of me they were helping 20 others. I was there for almost 2 hrs to upgrade. I Will NEVER go to Staples again. Rude and incompetent idiots.

I am very upset by my most recent purchase at staples, I purchased a brand new Toshiba laptop. Got home to use it and the screen was broken. Took it in to get a different one or fixed, and they refused. Nice waste of $600! I even had the warranty.

I placed an order on the morning of 10/19 for the business I work for and its expected delivery date was 10/21. I used several coupons and Reward Offers on the order (savings totaled almost $90). The order never came, and when it wasn't here by Thursday, I called Customer Service. They said that they could not find my order anywhere in the system OR my rewards. The order was lost and I had to put in a new order. My rewards were also lost and the coupon had expired. They said I couldn't use either. I made it clear that I had my reward codes right in front of me. After a long conversation and speaking to several different people, I managed to get them to use my reward codes and the coupon (I had printed everything off and read all the codes to them). I put my order in for the second time and was guaranteed delivery that same day.

I received an e-mail from Staples with an in-store use coupon for a $5.00 ream of Hammermill paper for one cent with a mail-in rebate. The coupon was to expire 3 days later, but when I went into the store the first day, they were already out of product. They said they would have more Saturday, still within the 3-day expiration period. But when I went in Saturday, they had no inventory left in the store. The manager also confirmed that they did not issue rain checks on coupon special with a deadline. Every other store I've ever been to where they've run out of any special will always issue a rain check, unless the ad says 'limited to stock on hand.' Nowhere on this coupon was that disclaimer mentioned. Isn't there a law that enough merchandise must be on hand to meet demand? How much did they expect if a ream of paper is one cent net? It's like they've gone out of their way to upset customers.

This is the only chain store has the black list for customers both online and in store. Do not be surprised if the manager thinks you look like a criminal and escorts you out of his store. Today I walked into their Akron OH store and the over-weighted manager wants to sell something at full price while it is showing on sale in their weekly ad. Situation does not change even after a call to the corporate office. Looks like the store manager has the ability to push the corporation to reject a customer he does not like. What a joke!

After writing this review, someone from Staples Rebate Center sent me another email stating that the rebate was in the mail. Two days after that I received the rebate in the mail. It took contacting Consumer Affairs to get this problem resolved. Thank You Consumer Affairs!

I usually do my shopping at Amazon.com but I figured why not give Staples a try since I drove past one of their stores in the Bronx. To my amazement every item that I checked cost three times as much that what it sells for on Amazon!!! I use my iPhone Amazon app to scan the barcodes so price comparison is very easy. For example, prices of tapes for my Brother Label Maker, Letter size envelopes, laminate A4 paper etc. This is a daylight robbery. Go to Amazon people. Staples is a rip off!!!

(0) STAR!!! The evening of 10/9/15 I was at the Staples in Woodland Hills, CA inquiring about a special on the iPhone 6. The STAPLES advertisement said ''effective 10/4 to 10/10'' as listed on the card, and the phone was through Verizon. When I asked to see the phone, the rep Xavier said that they were out, and that he'll have to contact the Verizon dealer to set up an appointment, and that could take a day or two. When I asked if I would still get the special if the rep decided to come after the 10th, he did not think so and did not want to promise. I asked to see the manager so I can get a confirmation of some kind that I was there on that date, so I can show to the rep that I was there within the advertisement date but REGINA the manager on duty said NO. I said "go ahead and set me up for an appointment," but she said she had to go through her own boss (who was not there at the time) and then they'll try to get to the Verizon rep.

Increasingly, I've noticed that whenever I have to physically go to my nearest Staples store, I have a sense of apprehension and dread. Products are not in stock and/or a very cavalier attitude seems to be the norm. Today is the last straw. I am 61 years old, and I'm disabled; I've had 4 major spinal surgeries, and it's a miracle I can even walk. So EVERY STEP is precious to me.

I went to Staples to purchase a new laptop (I broke the display and power cord on mine). I selected a new Toshiba with Windows 10 and needed to have my files from my old hard drive transferred to the new laptop. The easy tech quoted $99.99 for complete setup of my new laptop and transfer of my files. I agreed and they pulled my old hard drive and verified that it was not damaged. He stated 3 days (company policy) --- but said he would work on it the next day. When I called the next day for a status update on his progress I was told, "He's not in today." This was lie number 1.

I just moved to Connecticut from Florida and ever since I've gotten here I've been to Staples seven times and all seven times I brought the products back. They was garbage - absolute trash from China. No customer service. Nobody knows what's going on in the store. Just the worst customer service ever. I will never go back to Staples again.

Ordered online however they have a one-two day turn around time for it to leave the warehouse. Well it technically leaves the warehouse in about three days. When you call they try to give you the run around story that it is actually two days that it is leaving the warehouse but when you count the hours it is three. But why in a company that big does it take so long to leave the warehouse? I order online all the time from other big companies and never have a problem. I get confirmations and emails the same day or next day saying they shipped my order. And, customer service is horrible. They do not know what they are talking about, call me a few different names - I have to correct them a few times. If I didn't need some things from them because I play sports and can't find some of the stuff elsewhere I would not shop there.

This is must be the worst online store ever. Placed an order twice in three days and cancelled twice, I was not notified neither by phone or email, funds were charged to the credit card. Reason for cancellation because I don't have a land line phone at my address. I am a military and I don't stay more than 6 months in one place. So money gone, item not received, cancellation was not notified could it be worse than this? Thank you for reading this and before you place your order.

Very easy to use friendly website, if you sign up for there rewards, you will get 10% discount on the ink cartridges and toners, with that , price is reasonable . If you don't have that 10% discount, their price is kind of high but again, you pay for the convenience .

Staples, in my opinion, are an example of what more sites should be like. I ordered some duo-tangs which I misunderstood as being a multicoloured pack, and when I got them, they were all red. So I wrote them requesting a return and within 30 minutes they responded. They gave me my money back and told me I can keep the product as well, and said to donate it to a school or organization. I thought that was absolutely amazing. Also, it got here in no time. Literally. I ordered it one day, it was here the next. Amazing service. Will be ordering my daughters school supplies from there every year.

Staple's has been running some pretty attractive sales lately with many apparently decent prices. Kudos for that. But please pay close attention when receiving VISA card rebates. If not utilized and cashed immediately, they are quickly diminished in value by having fees applied to their value. They eventually become virtually worthless if not used. Just don't delay in spending your rebate or suffer my fate and lose hundreds.

Horrible customer service experience @ Staples on Fresh Pond in Cambridge, MA (11am Fri 9/18/15). I waited in line then asked the store manager about the rebate number that was not working on the rebate site. The mgr told me to go to support area for help which I complied. The support clerk asked me to wait again, so he can help another customer on the check-out area where I was original at. Now, I have waited approx. 10 minutes. I complained and the clerk apologized, because my time is valuable as well. What makes me more upset is that the store mgr said the support clerk was correct. If that's Staples customer service, then it deserves to lose more businesses and will close more stores. Congratulations of losing a life time customer! No more spending thousands of $ per year @ Staples. Costco is so much better.

I'd bought packs of ream and asked to redeem online according to what the receipt & clerks said...it didn't work. Also reward card doesn't help me much. It is true that a Samsung printer's cartridge was cheaper than from ink/toner recycling shop. That's why I ordered & got it online...also no hassle to sign up. But it seems they toyed with me by going back to their word.

I would not recommend STAPLES to anyone rather I would suggest if you want to get yourself humiliated only then go to the STAPLES store. I don’t have a option to give less than one star in the review, but if I had the option, I would have given less than a star to STAPLES customer service.

Purchased Brother MFC-J470DW printer for my daughter whilst we visiting from NH.It started playing up within a month, the Wi-Fi couldn't find the printer although the printer indicated it was connected. We managed to overcome the problem, then it reoccurred. when I arrived upon this present visit I tried to download all the drivers and apps, the procedure fried my laptop.My daughter managed to lose her receipt. I phoned Staples and asked if they could help resolve the situation, NO was their reply. The customer has just 14 days to return any computer of related equipment. They were not interested in my problems and said as much.I mistakenly phoned Walmart in the first instance truly believing I had purchased the printer from them. The manager at our local store was prepared to do anything to make amends for my experience.The moral of the story is shop at Walmart, Target, KMart....well anywhere but Staples. No wonder they are having to close stores in the less populated areas.No customer service here, truly a contradiction in terms.

I hate having to pay so much for genuine HP ink for my fantastic HP inkjet printer. Two weeks ago on a Saturday I discovered that I was out of ink. Having been to Staples recently and suffering from sticker shock I proceeded to use my Amazon Prime account to order one black ink cartridge, number 96 at a price of $26.97 with free shipping. A few minutes later I realized that I had this Staples Reward offer for $30.00 off an order of $60.00 or more, on-line only. I went to the Staples we site and ordered a two-pack of the same ink cartridges for $73.99 minus the $30.00, about $22.00 each with free shipping, a great deal. On Monday my amazon package arrived. On Thursday I receive an email from Staples stating that my package is not deliverable and that they don't deliver to PO Boxes. Really, your web site software didn't flag that while I was ordering? I called the customer service phone number and they told me that my order had been returned and that they would have to re-ship. I asked if I could do an in store pick-up and they said no. I asked who their carrier was and they could not answer that. I gave them my physical address and they said that it would ship on Monday. On the following Wednesday one of my neighbors comes by for a visit and hands me a package explaining that it was sitting next to my front tire of my car which was backed into my driveway, It was on the passenger side and was likely going to get run over as I would not have gone all the way around and checked that side before getting into my car and heading out. Really, they can't put it on the porch. Toss it into the driveway. Staples, never again! No wonder Amazon is kicking your ass!

Craptacular service! Ordered in stock item on 3/26 with ETA for 3/28. 3/28 comes and goes with nothing delivered. Call staples: "Oh the ETA is always wrong it takes 2-6 business days." Six business days later nothing. Check my order set to be delivered by 4/6. 4/6 goes by no order go to see what is going on, on 4/7 and my order has magically disappeared. Apparently staples decided after 3 weeks of wasting my time they were going to cancel the order and act like it never happened. Lets be honest this place is good for picking up pencils and highlighters. Anything more sophisticated then that is way too hard for them!

Perhaps when ordering online you should include a business or residential order and also include whether or not you want to be treated poorly. I tried to order a small order to my residence there was no choice between office or residence and now I've had several calls asking me to make sure someone is home and even when I was home waiting all day three days past when my order was supposed to be here I'm still without my order and very disappointed. Perhaps staples should consider shipping through FedEx or ups at least they know what they're doing

I needed a few thousand rubber bands for my delivery company, and staples seemed like the best place to go (or that's what the prices suggested anyway). There are a wide range available, I really wasn't looking for super quality, but I didn't expect the 'flimsyest' bands you'd ever see! Unfortunately,it's a unbelievably ridiculous service and management. When I paid my laptop at Walnut store I double check with their service guy---yes,one day delivery! But after one day I am not receive anything and I check the shipping status ---it will took 6 days to my house! I have travel airplane the day after tomorrow. Contact customer service no one can solve the problem. And every times transfer need waiting 30 mins until you give up. I don't understand what's wrong with this store. Ridiculous! I ordered a magnetic whiteboard from Staples.com. Item delivered in damaged condition, a large crease down the centre as if it had been folded in half and then flattened out again. I arranged to have it replaced, the replacement also arrived damaged, this time covered in little dents, like someone went to town stabbing the board with a screwdriver. The third attempt was supposedly going to have additional packaging, it didn't. It arrived, you guessed it, damaged. A giant crater in one corner.Utterly disgusted, I cancelled the order for a full refund, (which of course you don't get thanks to the guaranteed replacement scheme fee that is non refundable). The refund took the best part of a month to be deposited into my account.Delivery was not especially speedy, customer service was at best adequate. An appaling firm that I shall never use again, and urge everyone else to do the same. Don't get burnt!

I shop Staples regularly for my personal use items, but more importantly, at work we order ALL of our office supplies from Staples. We spend hundreds (even thousands when busy) of dollars a month. After my experience today, they just lost all business from me and from work. I am a manager and I know how online reviews can effect business, so I tend to keep my opinion to myself. But today was inexcusable. I needed some copies made and the employee didn't understand what I asked him to do. Not a problem, possibly I didn't explain well. After he did the copies wrong 2 more times (after telling him each time what I needed) he started huffing and puffing, threw the lid to the copier open and began to talk to me very rudely. I kindly said, "how about you just give me my original back and I will go somewhere else." He threw open the lid and gave me back my paper. He said, "have a nice day." First of all, I'm a very busy person. I do not have time to waste running all over town. Second, I believe the employee should have never let me walk away. Before leaving the store, I explained the employees behavior to the manager, and he said, "I'll check about the problem." The manager, also should have never let me walk out. Couldn't he offer to help me? I only needed some color copies, for goodness sake. Sad that they did allow me to leave, without copies and upset. A lot of revenue just walked out the door!

I tried for two days to use this service buy online and pick up in the store. I wanted to buy a gift for my niece in PA and I live in Alaska. So I got online and tried 5 times to check out at stores that said the item was in stock. I called one of the locations and they said they had 3 in stock but did not know why the website was not working and that I could not purchase the computer over the phone. I then called staples customer service and was on the phone for 2 hours and spoke with 4 people. The first two knew nothing the 3 third lady tried to convince me because I was location in Alaska that I could not purchase anything on the website to be picked up in the lower 48. I told her that she did not know what she was talking about and that I needed to speak to her supervisor. So her supervisor gets on the phone and explains that if there is less than 5 of an item in the store that it can not be bought online. I said ok but don't you think it should say 0 in stock for purchase online pick up in store. She then told me its a new service and I that they are still working out all the problems. Dear Staples, my time matters and I would be nice if you figured out your problems before you offer a service to the public. I purchased a HP Laptop from Staples.com months ago. I purchased the item because I like HP products and staples offered a rebate. After the purchase, I submitted the rebate via Staples "Easy Rebate" online. I waited 6 weeks for the rebate. After not receiving it, I contacted Staples. They said the rebate was through HP and there was nothing they could do, I'd need to contact HP. I did that with no results. I was told they never received the submission. It appears to me if the rebate was not one that could be submitted through Staples, they should not allow for the submission through the Easy Rebate site. This is not the first time I've not been given a rebate offered by Staples but it will certainly be the last time. If you buy anything from Staples taking advantage of a rebate, think twice. They are just as likely to not issue the rebate as they are to grant it. It's always a coin toss with them and they are very much useless when it comes to helping you get what was promised.

They have thousands of items to choose from such as printers, printer ink, paper, pads, pencils, envelopes, and so much more. No matter what you need for your office , you will find it here. I order all my computer ink and packing tape through Staples. They have their own store brands as well which are just as good as the name brands and much cheaper. If you order over a certain dollar amount , the shipping is free which is another big savings. Generally, your order will arrive within one business day. If something is on backorder which is rare , it generally only takes a day or two more to have it delivered. The customer service department is very helpful and the site is very easy to navigate with everything in catagories that are easy to find. I love Staples stores and shop at my local store all the time yet they seem to always have the ink I require for my printer out of stock so I order it through their website.I love the Staples website. It's super easy to search for the printer ink or toner you need and purchasing is a breeze. They usually have a ton of coupons so I can almost always get a percentage or dollar amount off of my order so I can get the ink I need at a cheaper price. And, of course, the ink is in stock all the time.Delivery is free since I am a Staples Rewards member (which is free). I usually have my orders delivered to my home which takes about two days but I have had it shipped to the store and it is usually available the next day. I ordered a laser printer form them and paid the $11 for delivery to as regional area (i'm only 1 hour north of Melbourne!)- noting that it clearly states 3 business days delivery- 6 business days later nothing has been been delivered - the customer service people say it was dispatched on the 2nd and now it is the 8th. Frankly just give them a wide berth- drive into town and go with company you can pick the item up and put it in your boot- even if it costs an extra $10.

I recommend that everyone stop shopping at Staples. The CEOs letter identifies that the organization is about integrity and customer focus, that was the farthest from my experience. Almost a month now, there is no track of the package. When I called Staples, they blame USPS for the missing package, and when I call USPS they redirect me to Staples. LINCOLNTON, NORTH CAROLINA -- On July 6, 2015 I took my Toshiba Satellite L75 laptop to get it fixed. When I turned it on, I just got a box that said "hard drive recovery in process" and nothing I tried would get it to boot to Windows (8.1). I took it to Staples in Lincolnton, NC to get it looked at. The man at the service desk ran a scan on it and discovered all that was wrong was registry errors. They kept it overnight and next morning called me to tell me it was fixed! It only cost me $29. I had been told by another service I called that it would be close to $200! I don't know about anyone else, but the people in Lincolnton know what they are doing. I will be using them for all my computer services from now on!

ELKHART, INDIANA -- Long term customer of Staples, have praised the company for years. They were my go-to store for PC & stationery supplies. Very sad to be treated so dishonestly by a company I used to depend upon. Turned in 10 cartridges in Oct 2014, another 10 in Jan, 2015, which should have produced $40 in credits. Instead I got zero. Why? Had not spent $30 at Staples in the last 180 days. MAINE -- I bought a "new'' computer for $550 and it arrived in a box that did not have that smooth cardboard box. The box had nips and punctured holes and a weathered look to it. Additionally, the computer base had what appeared to be fingerprints on it. Within the 14 day return policy, I took the computer into the store with a receipt, showed the manager the box and he said they did believe it was not a used computer and refused an exchange. The computer had a one year warranty. Electronics can be funny. They can be defective, have been dropped, abused, but it may not show up for a year or two later.

Corporate office that sits in Framingham, MA for this U.S.'s office supply giant, Staples. Customer service is stoic and callous for cookie-cutter of nearly all it's U.S. retail locations or nonexistent. Price is mid to steep as it is certainly no ninty-nine center junkie retailer though. Selection of brand office products and equipment are up to par for carrying Filo Fax; Avery labels; Mead composition notebooks, etc. Staff needs a overhaul makeover with Emily Post Etiquette; Kate Spade Manners and Kay West's "How to Raise a Gentleman" as many employees are uncultured inarticulate in oral communication for the most professionalism forward way.

I am very pleased with Staples Service. A year ago I bought a Windows 8 HP computer and it has given me problems for the past year. After spending much time in the Staples store, diagnostics showed that 4 USB plugs were not working. I had Square Trade Warranty Service and I was upset that they did not come to my house to diagnose and fix the problem. After sending me the parts, they canceled my repair by which I was upset about that. Then I called and discussed the matter. They told me to call the place and that they would reimburse me for the repair. I did just that and I was very surprised that the repair was going to be over $500. That's when I understood that they were telling me the truth about my computer. So I called them back and told them that I would except the offer of $500 in return for the old computer. I then went out and bought the computer of my choice which was a Dell Windows 7. This is what I wanted a year ago but it was not available. I am very please that I finally am getting the computer that I wanted after all the trouble I went through. I am also pleased that I got properly compensated for my inconveniences. I received  a Staples Personal Account credit card in the mail, then placed an online order, resulting in a hold put on that order. The Customer Service Rep explained to me to it's policy when placing online orders for the 1st time is to "simply go into a Staples Store so the sales people can verify the account." I agreed this is a great way to hinder credit card theft from mailboxes.So I went out of my way and drove to Staples store #1887, and went to pay for about $80 in merchandise. Between the sales person AND the manager (Pam the manger, by the way, has A+ customer service skills), NO ONE COULD GET THROUGH THE AUTOMATED PHONE SYSTEM TO VERIFY MY ACCOUNT!It was NOT EASY as their marketing campaign claims, and after FIFTEEN MINUTES OF WAITING I told Pam to put everything back and forget my purchase. While its system sounds good, it is not. Update:So I've had some problems with the online copy delivery where they took forever to ship my copies.  I finally cancelled it, but 5 days later, they decided to ship it anyways.  The copy looks funny (so we can't use it), and they charged us $306.  I emailed customer service saying that we can't use it AND we cancelled it, so we didn't even want it.  They replied saying that copies are not returnable.  Uhm, I cancelled it, so you shouldn't have sent it anyways.  Staples, I told you I am changing my rating, so here is the 1 star rating.  Sorry, you lost a customer that used to order thousands of dollars worth of supplies. I'm posting to voice my displeasure regarding Staple's business practices and how it treats its customers. Yesterday, I downloaded a valid coupon (expires 7/28/13) from Staple's website which states, "take an extra $30 off ALL tablets," with NO expressed restrictions on the type of tablet purchased. Moreover, the coupon states that it is a valid in-store coupon evidenced by the fact that it provides "in-store coupon code 35852". However, when I tried to use the coupon in-store on the new Nexus 7, I was told by the store manager that the new Nexus 7 is not included as one of the tablets available under the coupon. Additionally, I was told that the coupon does not apply to the new Nexus 7 because Stapes did not "intend" for the coupon to be applicable when the coupon was was originally offered. While I do understand the aforementioned rational, Staples should have provide such a disclaimer on its website, in its stores; or revise the coupon itself. Simply put, if corporate decides to release a product early (EG: new Nexus 7) and does not intend for it to apply under one of its current coupons, Staples should inform its customers of its intentions. Rather, what Staples did was a misrepresentation, and as a result, I wasted over an hour and a half driving to your store and dealing with your in-store manager. I am very disappointed at Staples for not honoring a valid coupon which I tried to use under its expressed terms. Furthermore, I am disappointed at Staple's customer service and for its unwillingness to do what is right for its customers. If Staples offers a coupon, it should honor it, if the coupon is being used correctly under its expressed terms. Clearly, customer service is not one of Staple's top priorities unlike other companies, such as Best Buy, who have publicly honored coupons in similar situations. Needless to say, I will be taking my business elsewhere in the future.

Staples absolutely SUCKS.  I ordered stuff with 1-day-guaranteed delivery, was told that 2 days was the best they could do, and (when it didn't come in 2 days) they told me they could "re-order" after the end of the THIRD day (for 2-day delivery again) which, in case you're keeping track, is FIVE days later.... my advice?  Stick with Office Depot (I should have!).  They have NEVER jerked me around like this!

Looking for a desk chair online with a very tight budget... found a really nice one on sale for $49.99.  Tried to order online and had problems logging on.  Called in and a helpful lady explained that my rewards account, even though it sends me countless emails, is not the same as an actual account to buy from.  (this strikes me as the opposite of "easy" - two different logins and passwords - but it wasn't her fault)  We went through the process of setting up both accounts.  I couldn't order yet because they hadn't offered a crucial measurement; the arm rest height, so I wasn't sure if it would fit under my low desk.  Called the store the next day to see if they would check.  They did.  It should fit.  When I went to order online, suddenly the price had jumped by $10.  Called in again, got an agent who admitted she didn't know why it happened, as sale prices usually run to the weekend, but she offered no resolution.  Called President's Office.  LONG wait on hold, then I got a guy named Jeffrey who was clearly determined to help.  He said it would take a while to look up the price and figure out why it might have changed, but he offered to take the order immediately with a $20 off discount.  So I got the price I wanted plus $10 more off.  No complaints there, and the agent was VERY helpful.

Disappointing. Went in the store about 8:30 pm hoping to find a particular kind of desk chair...comfortable for long work hours, multiple adjustments...I realize it was late but with some help I could have picked something out quickly and been done. However, not one sales person out of the 3 or 4 there asked how they could help. No other customers in there, sales personnel standing around at the front of the store talking to each other, evidently killing time until they could close the door at 9. Hope they had a nice evening; I won't be back.

SHAME ON YOU, STAPLES. I ordered a laptop via website, the representative told me I could wait for shipping to home or pick up in local store, I chose shipping to home. Two days later, received email just told me "it is out of stock, will refund". I asked customer service if I could pick up in store, the manager just told me I have to pay 100 more since I used the 100 coupon. Tried to argue with her, she said "I will not waste time with you". I waste time with you!

Prices are reasonable and selection of items are 'ok'. The staff is helpful most of the time. The location makes this place quite convenient and they are almost never busy except maybe during the weeks that schools start. Also, you will always find a good parking spot.

My friend and I went to this store on December 31, 2014 around 3:00 pm to print a birthday card for his kids. The lady at the copy center treated us extremely bad. We reported to the manager, and she also couldn't even listen to us. I am still shocked with the way they treat us. I don't know where to report but I am sad.

Beware. Was upsold a Lenovo U510 Ultrabook Ideapad and Complete Care Plan by Easytech Andy. Was assured of the system's stability with the classic "I own one of these myself and have never had an issue" shtick. System didn't last 6 months under normal text-based work. Hard drive failure. Merely 4 months into ownership and Lenovo will not fix without a charge, Complete Care will not help due to the manufacture's warranty, and the store basically told me that they make no guarantees of anything and have no responsibility (Manager's exact words). They got my $850.00. I got bupkis. I would not recommend buying anything from Staples under any circumstances. This review was typed on my 10 year old Gateway laptop that I purchased at Best Buy.

Needed help with a laptop that was not working and Cory in the Tech department was very helpful. He showed me what the problem was and helped fix it on the spot. Also while I was there I had to get documents scanned to my flash drive for my business. Blaine was very helpful in the print department, I was able to get all my/our needs met in short time. The copy staff was absolutely rude and unhelpful. He treated me like I was a complete idiot because I needed something printed that didn't have a bleed line, which I knew it didn't but needed him to help me problem solve because it was an immediate need. Looks like I'm not the only one who thinks their customer service is an issue. I will never be back to a Staples to print. FedEx Kinkos down the road was more than welcoming and willing to print for me immediately.

This store is IMHO the best! Doug the manager is always on top and ready to solve any problems that might arise. Their technical staff is knowlegeable. They have serviced most of my office needs for the past 10 years and I really can't say enough nice things about the Bloomfield Hills STAPLES at Woodward near Square Lake.

We went to get my laptop checked out after hearing a radio advertising that if they can't fix it than its free. They couldn't fix it but they still charged me saying "that's not how the radio program goes". The manager have some really pissy attitude wish us and walked away while showing anger to us customers.

I am only reviewing this locations Customer Service, as I didn't even have to go to the store to learn how unfavorable it was. I called and spoke with a person named Josh and inquired about them having a printer in stock. I was told I would be transferred to Joe who could help me. After five minutes of hold music I felt like I was calling my cable provider or something. Five minutes and not one person picking the phone up to help or even say we will be with you in a moment? I called about an item in stock which equates to, if you have it I will be there to buy it. So I hung up, called Office Depot in Royal Oak and within thirty seconds found my printer. Staples loss was Office Depot's gain.

Not sure why there are so many poor reviews, unless someone has really high expectations for an office supplies store. This was my first time at this store, so maybe I got lucky. I drive from the Detroit metro area to Flint for school and was looking for a Staples to stop at on my way home, that wasn't too far off the expressway. The store was clean, well stocked, and organized. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was only one other person in line ahead of me and instead of making me wait, someone quickly got to the other register to ring me up. I'll definitely be stopping at this store in the future.

Horrible customer service. Went in to get colored copies made and the girl could not even help me retrieve the document I had to print which is available to the public online. She was super rude, she talked to me like I was uneducated, and gave me a look like I was annoying her. You would think that you would want to hire someone with problem solving skills and someone that would actually try to be helpful. I will never shop or get prints at Staples again. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Overview: Store engages in unethical business practices; has rude employees who do not care about customers. Story: I went into Staples to purchase some labels for my printer. I found some listed for $8.99, and took them to the register. A man named Rob with the title of "Team Manager" rang me up, and I noticed that my charge was 12.99. I told him that that was a mistake, and that the labels were listed as 8.99. He said, no, they are 12.99 and they have a $4.00 rebate. I told him that his store price tag was misleading, because it said that I would only pay $8.99, and I didn't want the hassle of a $4.00 rebate. He immediately got defensive with me and agitated, and said that it was correct. I told him that it was a deceitful practice, and he said that "you think you can come into my store and use those were strong words?" I told him they were accurate words, as the store is claiming to sell products at a different price than they actually were ringing up, and that it was deceptive. He got very angry, and said, well then, you don't need to have these, and cancelled out my purchase. I was kinda shocked, and my father grabbed up the labels and paid for them. On our way out, Rob almost yelled, "Have a nice day." I don't know what this guy's deal was at all--he immediately got angry with me, did not even attempt to explain why his company had this policy, but I can tell you this--any business that A) engages in such poor business practices and B) has employees that treat customers poorly is not ever going to have me as a customer again.

Please educate your employees. I am a graphic design college student. I often go to this Staples to have things printed for my final projects. My most recent project was the packaging for a McDonald's happy meal so, of course I had licensed characters on it. After asking me what it was for, in which I replied, a school project, they argued with me saying that I would need written proof from pixar to print these items. First and foremost, you can print anything legally as long as it is for school. I'll have to return tomorrow to print another project I am working on but please to save me frustration of finding another print shop last minute, educate your employees, especially the ones printing.

My daughter and I recently visited in Michigan and had multiple items that needed to be shipped home to California, including an antique child's rocker and multiple framed family photos. We went to UPS at 10 & found they did not open til 3, then when we returned, we discovered that they did not package items and they referred us to Staples. When we arrived at Staples we were tired and frustrated. Carole Rideout took charge, packing all of our items with care and " creating" a box that would fit the antique rocker and padding EVERYTHING extremely well. All this took her over an hour and she never showed anything but respect, courtesy and cheerfulness. We are now home and both packages arrived as planned and not one thing was marred or damaged. Carole Rideout exemplifies excellent customer service. We thank and commend her.

Holy Mother Expensive! I usually shop here for office supplies for my two businesses. Today I decided to call for a quote on color copies for some flyers we are making. They just quoted me for 1500 color copies on color paper a whopping $936.00!!! **RIIIGHT** I told the copy center gal that Business Print down the street in Scottville quoted me $268.00 for 2500 copies. Staples, you have great supplies, but there's no WAY my little small business will EVER spend that much money on copies with you! You get 1 star for such ridiculous prices.

Stay away from this location!!!! I went in to have some resume packet materials bound. I was told by the person working at the copy and print center that "you never, ever, bind resume/ portfolio materials...EVER." I asked her why and she told me that Staples corporate has directed them to tell everyone that. I told her I still wanted them bound and also told her that I'd like the glue binding, with a clear front cover and black backing. She told me that Staples no longer does this type of binding as they "lost money on it." I left the store. After returning to my car, I called the Staples store in Grand Haven and they told me that, yes, they still do this type of binding and could have it done for me in about 15 minutes. I drove down and they had it done in 10 minutes. I told one of the associates in that location of what had happened to me in Muskegon and she said, "yeah, we hear a lot of crazy things about the Muskegon store and we get a lot of business from the people they turn away." tl; dr: the Muskegon store lied to me and the Grand Haven location is much better. I will be taking my business there from now on.

I went to this store to purchase some new supplies. I had a nice sales experience but there was an item that had the wrong price. I went back and got the refund and bought one more item. It had the wrong price. This time I got a manager and explained the situation. She was very nice and refunded me the difference. I bought 10 more items but this time I checked the price each time she scanned it. 6 of the items had the wrong price. If I had not checked it would have been another trip into the store. While the staff was nice I will not be going back to this store. I feel it's too much trouble to be that diligent for office supplies. It isn't brain surgery. The person handling pricing and changes should be fired. I'll give them a star because the staff was nice and handled the problems professionally.

Other Staples I've been to were great. Always good service and timely. This one though.... When your employees aren't working and they refuse to work, then you should fire them. They're wasting your money. Would not print my 1 image, they said that they were on back order and it would take till next tues. (an entire week) but nothing was being printed, none of the printers were running, and when I walked in they were just standing around talking. Went to Meijer and did it in 3 min.

This store needs some serious manager intervention to teach the employees at this store about customer service. Yesterday at 7:20pm, an hour and a forty minutes before the store closed, an employee told me she couldn't make copies for me in the copy center, because they start cleaning up the store at 7pm and she'd have to take out the supplies again and then put them away afterwards. I almost asked her if she was kidding, but she clearly wasn't. I took my business down the road a little farther to Office Max, where they were very happy to have my business. And Office Max will continue to get my business in the future. Wow. Just... wow.

I purchased a laptop through Staples website about a year ago. I got a great deal and was very happy with it, at first. About a month ago, my laptop started acting a little screwy, I was getting lots of pop-ups even when I wasn't on any websites and trying to do anything was dog slow! All of these pop-ups eventually choked out my system and I couldn't do ANYTHING anymore. Every time I tried to launch Internet Explorer, I would just receive an error. I took my laptop into this Staples to get fixed. They informed me that my hard disk was corrupt from viruses and that they would have to completely wipe out everything and start from scratch. I couldn't afford to lose my existing data!! I opted to find a local computer repair shop instead and thankfully they were able to recover everything without having to wipe out all of my data. It turns out that some of the software that came installed with my laptop actually caused the problem! Had I removed this software when I bought it, I probably would've been OK. Beware!!

I have visited this store frequently together with some of my friends. I like the staff worked there. They were patient and friendly. There are two mangers in this store . One of them is nice too, but anther one really pissed me off. He was over-cautious that he treated all the Chinese customs like thieves or suspicious person. Talking to him was like talking to a serious judge! The way he treated me made me think I was not welcomed at all! I would say, everything in this store is nice except this weird manger.

This is a great supply store I'm able to get in and out easily all the time. The print shop staff is particularly skilled and helpful plus, the prices are SO right in comparison to a few of the boutique print shops around town. And I want to write something here to a few of the other reviewers after having worked in IT for years: Its not the repairman teams fault that YOU broke YOUR computer. I just felt like making that VERY clear.

I bought a lap top and the sales man sold me an extended factory warranty. Ripped off is what I feel like, the thing is the laptop was not dropped, a screw fell out and it fell apart, they do not honor their warranty or their product. I will never buy another computer from Staples, I have a Toshiba lap top that I bought at Best Buy and it is 5 years old, with no problems, my son's laptop is not even 2 years and has had numerous problems over and over again. Now it just fell apart because a screw fell out. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, RUDE, AND THEY WILL NOT HONOR THEIR OWN WARRANTIES.

My mother just spoke to a customer service person at the East Michigan Ave store . Her name is Denisha and she was excellent. My mother voiced complaint and Denisha immediately took some positive action by saying she personally would check for correct type of product that was needed to exchange and she would save for her. I would like to clue some of the workers at Staples remember that most people are not as versed in technical information on the products sold at Staples. I would encourage the sales people to try and assist customers as much as possible even if it seems like people should have enough sense to know what they are paying for. It will affect the bottom line which is profit and maybe end results could be a raise.

i came to the imaging center to have 4 items printed. the poor woman in the back was slammed with work but did not seem to let that bother her.. she took my order and my measurements and after that she asked me when i needed them, well asap. she then told me that it would be at least an hour due to the 2 projects in front of mine, had i known that to begin with i could have gone to another image center because i ended up missing my class, i arrived an hour later and waited. she looked up and told me that she has not yet started on my prints. and she is the only one back there working with a counter full of customers, you have a manager smoking and joking as she is asking him for help. very displeased with seeing that when she is obviously swamped with work. you need to train more image techs because there were other employees walking around who could have given her a hand in a pinch like that. i finally got my prints 45 mins after walking into the building and was VERY SATISFIED with the quality, i was less then pleased when i was charged for a print that came out wrong, at the chesterfield staples they eat that cost because they jacked up the image, not the customer. and at $5 a print you should get it right on the first time. so not happy at all with how this store is handled

I have never used Staples for any print production needs. Until today. I forgot to order business cards for an event tomorrow, & on a whim, I thought I might try their same day printing services. And then I got busy at work and forgot again. At 5pm, I finally remembered and called Staples in Woodbury, MN. A very friendly employee named Eden told me they definitely could do that. 45 minutes later, my phone rang. Unfortunately, the business card cutter kept jamming and they would not be able to finish my cards. The offered to call another location, ask if they were able to fulfill it before close of business and transfer the job. BAM. They did that & completely took care of the logistics for me. THANK YOU! I try to be a fairly patient customer. I know any store has good days and bad days, and good and not-so-good employees. But I am pretty much fed up. I have been using this store for a couple of years, primarily your copy and print center. Today was the last straw. No matter how many people are waiting, there never seems to be more than one person on duty. Moreover, when I finally do get up to the counter, a lot of times the service people are slow at best, and often don’t seem to know what they’re doing. Frankly, they’re not usually very friendly either. Today, though, I was the first in line and it took thirty minutes to get a single page printed. I’ve tried to give the store plenty of chances, but I’m pretty much done. The Staples location is convenient, but if I’m just going to have to wait that long, I might as well go somewhere else.

I recently bought a new phone from here and I'd really recommend it. They do automatic price matching, which means that it cost me less to go through them than my provider. The employee to helped me was patient, professional and knowledgeable. The rest of the time I've been here, staffing can feel sparse, but when you get help they are friendly. Before I started working at this particular location, the service was excellent, customers are always complimenting how we do a great job and our managers will always break their arm or leg to help their customers and associates. To this day we try to help every customer as fast and efficiently as possible so no one leaves empty handed, and if we do not sell it in store or if it is sold out, then you can use our convenient kiosk so you can order what ever that was sold out online and you also get free shipping if you order in store. I feel every customer so far that I myself have served was satisfied and if the item they were looking for wasn't in store then that's when our kiosk is introduced and they just go gaga when they find out you can buy anything in the store online and get free shipping to either the store or your home if you use our in store kiosk. I also feel that our store review isn't being used correctly because in our store, we try our best in every department and not every customer is telling the whole story what happened. Went to this location today to have some things printed and faxed. The process was quick and easy and I was able to complete a job I have been trying to do all week. When I walked in there was a guy standing at the front door that was kind and welcoming asking to offer any help he can to each customer. Kudos to him for coming to work actually ready to work.

I have tried to get printing done at this location twice. The first time I sent the printing job online and they claimed they never received it and it must have been sent to the Owings Mills location. When I went to the Owing Mills location they said it was sent to the Pikesville location the associates never opened the email to complete the print job. When I went to pick it up at the designated time they said it wasn't ready and then when I went back they said they never got the order. The Owings Mills location fixed Pikesville mistake but I ended up spending almost 3 hours of wasted time trying to get a simple job printed. The second time I went to the location to give them the file and told them I would be there in the morning to pick it up. It was not printed because they had a questions and they never tried to call me to get the question answered or to tell me that it was not ready. I told them I would be back in a half hour to pick it up and when I returned the printer was "broken" and I could take it to another location to get it printed. I wasted about 2 hours of my time trying to get this printed. They told me they would sent it to the Towson location to get it printed, it has been 2 hours and nothing has been sent to Towson. I continue to wait because now I am in a huge time crunch and this is the only place that doesn't sent our for printing and is supposed to have quick turnaround time. DO NOT GET PRINTING DONE HERE!!!

The store has a steady vibe to it, not having changed much for a decade or so. For me, it's a place to buy a few stationary items, not otherwise found in other stores, or to print a document or two. Otherwise, I feel that the store has somewhat fallen out of the trendy movements, although they do sell tablets, laptops, and other commodity hardware. The staff are eager to help but there are a few of them on the floor. Overall, Staples has fallen into a very specific niche in my life and will probably stay there... not great, not bad, just okay.

The copy center actually messed up on a lamination project and I didnt realize until I got home. I went back to speak to the Manager and he immediatly refunded the entire amount and since I had to order another copy of what I was laminating and then have it relaminated he then gave me a gift card so the relamination would be free also. I wasnt even going to ask for nearly that much to correct the problem, but he went way above and beyond what was necessary. I appreciated so much his kindness and he used my project as an object lesson for the entire copy center. I've never seen lines and the pricing seemed fair to me.

I don't know a time that I've received great customer service here but today has been the absolute worse. I emailed a print job to an address I just used the week before, only to be told the box hasn't been valid for a year.. The point in sending I was so i didn't have to wait and yet i still manage to have to wait for close to a hour before being actively helped. Because their day was hectic, the associate felt it appropriate to get smart in a nice way, as if I'm not catching the tone. This is literally the worse print experience ever. Mind you it was just 100 black and white copies front and back...

I It turns out that even though usps corporate staple to do some work while the " managers" in the store knowsnothing about the business. As a regular customer I have found this store is highly variable in quality of service, but generally understaffed. Sometimes staff are very efficient and cheerful, but others are sullen and almost combative. Recently I tried to return an electronic item item with a one year warranty which had failed after 2 months, and I was told that the store would only accept failed electronic equipment within 14 days after purchase, regardless of the length of the warranty, and only then if it were in the original box. Generally they keep up their stocks up well, so if you do not need any human interaction and you know what you want, and the product is not failure prone, this store is OK.

This locations employees are jerks (as with most Staples unfortunately).... If your attempting to use their printing services. They will ignore you until you've almost lost all of your patience. Only then will they allow you to ask them a question. There's an older "gentlemen" who works at this location who is the worst. They are very disorganized... which leads to one person giving you a price and then another giving you a different price. They will blame each other, etc...and they have no problem charging you the higher price unless you call them out on it. Office max in Hermitage is much friendlier in my opinion. (even though they can be just as disorganized) they don't have the side order of attitude with their scatterbrained service

This evening I went to my local staples to pick up a cloud storage unit for my home network only to be completely disappointed again. This store has the worst customer service of any Staples I have been too, it is always understaffed, and when help is finally available the store does not have the item in stock. This is the story of this evening, where I took a box off the shelf to go and pay for the item, the sales associate starts the transaction will the other visible employee goes to get the real item, only to come back and say they don't have it. I ask then why do you have three boxes on the shelf if you do not have any of this item in stock? His reply to me was "it is so we can order you one". I left the store shaking my head at this ordeal which happens far to often for the amount of money that I spend there yearly. My next stop was to the fully staffed OfficeMax on Lebanon Road in Donelson, TN, where I was greeted when I entered the store, asked if I needed help after only a minute inside the computer isle, was assisted by a manager and another very competent employee and then checked out by another very competent employee which made my whole experience there completely wonderful. I really do not think I will ever go back to another staples after tonight.

Yesterday, 04/27/2015, I walked into this store with 400$, intent to purchase, and the ability to use an employee discount. I was in the market for either a Tablet, or a Chromebook. So upon entering I head straight for the display of laptops and tablets. And I wait. And then I wait. And for good measure, I wait some more. After about 20 minutes I decide to wander the store a bit. During this whole process I've made eye contact with every employee willing to chance a look my direction. After wandering a bit I return to tablets/laptops. I've now been spotted there twice, perhaps I want to buy one? And then I wait. NO SERVICE! You have a person who intends to make a purchase, and you completely ignore them! I decided to drag the manager out of his back room hiding place (store #1900 by the way) and let him know how I was treated. Very nicely I state I walked in with 400$, an employee discount, and was not able to be served! Office Depot is just down the street, I'll be bringing my business there. The manager really did not seem to care, which makes sense honestly. None of the employees seemed to care either, so look at their leader. Terrible. In case anybody is wondering, I purchased my Chromebook and gadgets at Office Depot and couldn't be happier with their service.

I bought an office chair at this Staples 7/2015. When I got it home, 45 minutes away, it was clear that the chair had been partially assembled, incorrectly, and a bolt was jammed in a non-fitting nut. The chair had been damaged in the process. But the store had not checked the chair and sold it to me as if it were new. The chair was for my father, and I was visiting from out of state. Because his health is frail, he cannot return the chair (1 1/2 hours round trip), and I was leaving Houston without time to return it. After calling the parts dept and the store, as well as typing out what happened for the store manager, no solution was offered except, "Bring it back to the store." But this was not possible for my father. So I asked if a new chair could be delivered and the old one taken away. The manager, Daniel, said he would check and call the next day. It is a week later, and I haven't heard a word. Terrible service, terrible response to a legitimate customer complaint. When I return home, I'll buy from someone else (not any Staples) in the future. Why do companies give up so much future revenue to save a few pennies and cheat their customers?

This location was a dump. Where do I even begin? Every isle was a mess with things thrown on shelves. If you could even find what you were looking for good luck on finding a price. If you got that far and found a price it was WAY over marked for the quality. We really liked a desk but no labels and NOT ONE employee was around to help. It was not crazy packed with people so I am not sure what the issue could have been. I work in a customer service career and this was a disaster. The restroom was even worse then the store and appeared to never have been cleaned in the lifetime of the place. Let me also mention that the restroom was completely out of soap so my question would be how are these employees washing their hands before providing service? My recommendation... save your health and sanity and NEVER EVER EVER enter this store.

I will never EVER shop at Staples again. They have the worst customer service and don't even know what they are doing. I bought a laptop there last year, I specifically asked for a touch screen and had to return my computer TWICE before getting what I wanted. When I got what I asked for on the third attempt they sold me a floor model computer. I was never given the start up disks for it. Now a year later it is having problems. I took it back to them since it is under warranty and was told I'd have to pay $150 to get it reset. After being told it would only take 3 days went in a week later and they hadn't even started working on it!!!! I am taking an online class so you can imagine the inconvenience of having to go to work or find friends who could lend me some time on their computer! They called me a few days later to tell me it was ready, so I went in to pick it up and it was still doing the same thing it was when I took it in. Not only that but the lady who is there most the time recognized me and knew I was upset so rather than deal with me she ran to the back making me wait did not greet me at all and waited for another associate to come help me. So now I am going to have to send it to the warranty company but the warranty company wants those start up disks I never received. When I called staples to inform them of this they were not helpful at all and made me call the warranty company which took an hour for them to call me back. Luckily I received the call since I work at a very busy office and am not always able to answer my phone!! I only rated one star because google makes me. If there were negative stars I'd give those. -5 stars!!!! Never again, I'm going to the local Sandia Computers next time I need a new computer.

Coming from an experienced Staples manger from Az, this store should be embarrassed!! The manger never greeted us even as we stood next to him trying to get a cart. The display chairs where all over the place. Missing tags on a lot of product. Nothing was faced. The end caps where sloppy and unorganized. The associates were to busy putting out products to even give eye contact. Have been in this store multiple times and it never gets better. Does the Managers not know how to get the current planograms to set up the store CORRECTLY!? The last time i went, the manager was busy talking and laughing to two associates in the front of the store to even help us... i hope someone changes management soon.

Staples has cash registers that do not allow customers to see what they are paying for items. When I got my total today, it seemed high. Turns out, five out of eight items were actually priced higher than the posted price. I pointed this out to the cashier. He agreed that one of the prices was wrong but did nothing to remedy the situation. I returned everything and will not shop there again. I like transparency when spending my hard earned money and the practice of not having a set up that allows customers to see what they are charged seems like an unscrupulous business practice.

My fiancé and I just experience a horrible experience from the copy center at Staples. We had a very lucrative order and glad we are no longer going to give Staples our business. First off they were out of everything we needed for our invitations, so we had to run to Walmart to get everything. When we got back the girl was helping out someone, no problem at all. Then another girl came by and didn't even acknowledge us (we were next) and helped the people that just came to the counter behind us. This happened 3 separate times!!! I don't know how you can be that bad/rude at customer service unless you are blind. We waited for over 30 minutes and was never helped so we left. Never going back. They always have difficulty finding my (web) order and most of the time it's wrong. They scale my images/docs when I ask them not to. Most recently, they tried to send me out the door with a color photo print that had been marred/marked by the copier machine. It's unfortunate that the machine is broken, but I should not have been notified that my order was complete when it was not, and an employee should not have tried to send me on my way with a botched print job (as my grandmother's birthday present). There's no quality control here and most employees seem unqualified or ambivalent toward their work. From now on, it's FedEx Office for me.

I have a beef specifically with the copy and print center at this staples. First off when you order anything through the web site the resolution of the final product displayed online looks crummy, so I couldn't tell if it would print right. When I went in to ask them about this the woman behind the counter said that they had too much to do and she couldn't spend one minute to help me. I went in later that week and someone helped me do a test print, which was nice. I ordered my wedding invitations online the same week and went in to pick them up and apparently someone has already picked them up. The problem: NO ONE I KNOW PICKED THEM UP! They gave my wedding invitations away to someone else. How does that even happen? Lady behind the desk did not seem concerned with this, said she was going to print some more off and swing by again in a couple hours. If it was possible to rate this place as zero stars, I would. The copy center machines are frequently broken, and the employees are at best apathetic and frequently openly hostile and rude. I am shocked that this place still has customers. Do yourself a favor and go to Kinko's down the road, even the miserable post office nearby is less frustrating.

I worked with the print center at this location for all of my printing needs for my wedding. They were consistently helpful and my orders always turned out as expected. They're fairly busy, but complete orders in a timely manner. Great, friendly staff!

If you need to ship or use their print center be sure to budget a ton of extra time. Today I waited for 10+ minutes at the shipping desk, with a line of other customers behind me also waiting. To be clear: I wasn't waiting in line while someone else was being assisted, I was the NEXT customer in line, standing at the desk. I had to leave because I was on my lunch break, and ran out of time - I left without actually shipping anything, all I did was wait then walked out. No employees came to the desk, or even acknowledged that customers were waiting for service. This place is a straight up joke. If you need any printing or shipping services I recommend doing everything you can to avoid going to Staples in East Liberty.

Was hired right away. I have great experiences as a manager and took a pay cut to work for this store. Was never called back, was pushed back many times for original hire date. FINALLY get a set hire date, ended up in the er due to pregnancy, CALLED RIGHT AWAY to set up a different time to sign paper work. No big deal right? WRONG! Staples here doesnt care if you go into early labor (6 months) all they care about it compliance with their rules. ANYWAYS, I called, they asked if I was still interested in the job I said yes and we set up for me to be seen today with Dan. I walk in 15 mins Early smiles on my face and ready to start. My shirts were already ordered and ready to go. Dan informed me that Staples felt that my going into labor wasnt a good enough excuse to miss work and that they no longer wanted me as an employee. When I informed him of all the date screw ups by them and something uncontrolled by me, he LAUGHED in my face saying that HE was the person who wanted me gone and didnt want a non compliant worker there. He didnt care I almost lost my child from the stress THIS COMPANY put me under! He LAUGHED IN MY FACE. WHO DOES THAT?! Seriously do yourselves a favor and avoid this place... the only 5 star reviews left here are by former employees

Copy and print center has become a joke. I walked in today to overnight a package (should have gone to the post office). The gal just took it and put on a pile. I said you have to process it. Her response was I have only been here 12 days I do not know how to do it. And there was no one in the store that could help. Next I asked her to spiral bind a book of mine. I cannot do that, was her response. Ordering blue prints is hit or miss. Some associates do not know the meaning of print to scale. Looks like FedEx-Kinkos will be next choice.

Went into this store to pick up a paper shredder really fast because I was running late for an appointment. I work retail. I'm a manager. So I know how retail should and shouldn't run. I locate the area where the paper shredders are. There are none on the floor. I walk up to two sales associates stocking items and asked if they had anymore items in stock. Instead of getting "I'm not sure let me check" like I was expecting, I got "I don't know. Go to the front of the store and find BLAH BLAH BLAH". So I walk up to the front of the store to find this person to help me. He is standing there with a coworker watching him make a phone call. I walk up to their desk. I stand there. They look at me. They look away. This went on for about 10 minutes. Not acknowledging my presence, not telling me "One moment please" or "I'll be right with you". They just blew me off. Finally after 10 minutes they look at me and say "Whats up". I told him I spoke to two people who told me he could help me find my item (I've now been in the store for 25 minutes). He walks over, sees none on the floor and says "Were out" and walks away. I have never been so insulted at a retail store. I actually ordered one on amazon, in three minutes, when I couldn't even get a solid answer out of three employees in 30 minutes. This was at 7pm at night with only two or three cars in the lot outside. The store was dead. You view your customers as an inconvenience rather than a customer, and as a fellow manager it clearly shows. Your customers are the reason you have a paycheck.

Good variety of products and friendly staff. Convenient location for easy access. Since Staples has Price Match I cannot find a better price. The availability of items in the store can be checked online. I needed a small $4 item that was not in stock but with Ship to Store I was able to pick it up at the store a few days later with no shipping fee. By merely signing up for the Staples Rewards card I get notices of discounts and coupons.

This store is poorly staffed. We submitted a print job for flyers, posters, and info cards. First, the "printer broke down". Then, the "card cutter broke down". Finally, the "poster mounting machine broke down". When they did manage to get the printing done, the colors were off and the quality was poor. All the machines necessary to complete our job mysteriously broke down on the same day. Their phone system doesn't work correctly. They lied about sending us an email to keep us informed about the status of our print job. NEVER AGAIN will we do business at this store. Thankfully, there are other options.

I recently worked on a unique project and it was something that most copy centers would not tackle, but this store not only took on the project, but went above and beyond to complete it perfectly. Kalie was very helpful and would call to keep me informed on the progress. It was a little frustrating, due to technical issues, but she always had a great attitude. I really appreciate the hard work she did and wanted to spread the word.

The print shop is GARBAGE. Either there is no manager doing Quality Assurance or they just don't care. Tried to pick up my banner today that I ordered two days ago, well they where able to telephone me to tell me it was ready, but unable to look at what they had done and see that it was completely wrong. Their printers ran out of ink part way through the process and they just left it! Didn't reprint at all, just handed it to me like it was what I ordered. No one in the print shop as ANY sense of Quality Control. The manager must be nonexistent, an idiot, or both. If you want something printed, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

I went in to print 3 pages and the computers are so slow I spent more on computer usage than I did for the copy. So frustrating. I will definitely use the library next time. The computers are much faster sadly at the public library.

When hunting school supplies last year, my daughter and I were running late getting to the store. Even though the store had closed some 10 minutes before we arrived, the store manager invited us in and asked an associate to help us find what we needed. 5 Stars! On Presidents Day we purchased a laptop here. This morning the screen was black when we turned it on, and the computer wouldn't boot up. I purchased this laptop 2 weeks ago! My husband tried everything he could do to fix it, but the black screen persisted. He took it to Staples to exchange it because clearly it is defective. Alfred Jackson the manager of the store was the man my husband talked to. My husband brought the receipt, and explained the situation. My husband said the guy was a serious jerk. Alfred must drink vinegar for breakfast because he said no we could not exchange the computer and he told my husband he would be charged to have the computer diagnosed. Sorry bitter, angry Alfred but you messed with the wrong people. My husband called corporate and complained. Corporate was surprised he didn't exchange the computer, and even more surprised he was charging just to diagnose it. Corporate said that all Dell computers have a one year warranty, and that the manager should be aware of that. Corporate got our number, and said they will call back. Update: Corporate Staples called back and said just call Dell because they will not do anything. If you want to get garbage customer service go to Staples. I will never set foot in a Staples ever again.

One star is far too much for a company that has a manager who REFUSES to help out in the search for a missing person. The manager said he could ONLY give the 20% discount that is available in their little paper. Not only was he disinterested in helping a community find a missing person, he was rude and insolent. When we approached the nearby Kinkos in Allen, they immediately made 50 free copies. I'm spreading the word about both companies via facebook, word of mouth, to all the volunteers and companies who have helped in the search for Mr. Dixon of Pottsboro Texas. Shame on the manager for not assisting in these efforts. Shame on him for being so insulting to only offer the discount EVERYBODY has access to in the search for a missing person. Years and years I've spent money at Staples. NEVER AGAIN!! NEVER. I will remain loyal to Kinkos on Central Expressway in Allen.

First time here! Got labels printed for a cd. There was a line but as soon as I walked in I was greeted by staff, Stephen was working at the print booth and was fast and handled multiple customers. Even told me right away he would be with me shortly. After he finished helping me he told me about some other stuff I may be interested in. If he hadn't shown me these things I wouldn't have known. I will be returning for more promo items for my business! Thanks Stephen!

They do not honor warranties. You are not take care of when you go to the store, they seem to have a skeleton staff all the time. I spent over $1,600 for my home office supplies. Paid extended warranty for a printer. It took a month to get a replacement. The replacement printer failed to work and its 2 months and they have not replaced the printer. The store manager did not help. The customer service through the 800 is not helpful. I will never go to this store again. I do not recommend this store.

I ordered a product from the copy center on Thursday. The friendly person who helped me said it would be ready by the end of the day. On Friday morning, I went in to pick it up. Not ready. They would call me when it was ready. Now its Tuesday at 1 PM. No call from Staples, so I called them. I'm on hold...... 5 minutes.....6 minutes......7 minutes....8 minutes....Somebody picks up the phone to tell me that there is a long line at the copy center and nobody can take my call. They will call me. Or not.

I took my computer in for repair on 2/22/13 & after taking the computer back 4 times & 2 weeks it still has problems. They were paid over $350.00. I spent hours at the store & at least 7 return trips trying to get it fixed. It is still not done & I will have to take to a real repair shop. They never offered a refund. This has turned into a computer nightmare. I will be taking them to court!!! Beware!!!

The print center used to be efficient and fast. I don't know what happened. They told me that printing out and binding a short term paper would take a "couple of days". There was a grumpy old man who told me this. He seemed annoyed by my request. In the past, they cheerfully did it while I waited. I was going to give them a second chance and they couldn't be bothered to answer the phone. The Fedex Center is in the same parking lot in Auburn, CA. They are as good as Staples used to be. I'll be giving Fedex my business from now on.
