I recommend that everyone stop shopping at Staples. The CEOs letter identifies that the organization is about integrity and customer focus, that was the farthest from my experience. My situation was that a Supervisor (Anthony) indicated they would match a price at a competitor (we spoke about every specific, he identified the exact next steps I would need to take and I followed them precisely). I was instructed to return to the store on the Friday after Thanksgiving with my receipt.

LINCOLNTON, NORTH CAROLINA -- On July 6, 2015 I took my Toshiba Satellite L75 laptop to get it fixed. When I turned it on, I just got a box that said "hard drive recovery in process" and nothing I tried would get it to boot to Windows (8.1). I took it to Staples in Lincolnton, NC to get it looked at. The man at the service desk ran a scan on it and discovered all that was wrong was registry errors. They kept it overnight and next morning called me to tell me it was fixed! It only cost me $29. I had been told by another service I called that it would be close to $200! I don't know about anyone else, but the people in Lincolnton know what they are doing. I will be using them for all my computer services from now on!

MAINE -- I bought a "new'' computer for $550 and it arrived in a box that did not have that smooth cardboard box. The box had nips and punctured holes and a weathered look to it. Additionally, the computer base had what appeared to be fingerprints on it. Within the 14 day return policy, I took the computer into the store with a receipt, showed the manager the box and he said they did believe it was not a used computer and refused an exchange. The computer had a one year warranty. Electronics can be funny. They can be defective, have been dropped, abused, but it may not show up for a year or two later.

ELKHART, INDIANA -- Long term customer of Staples, have praised the company for years. They were my go-to store for PC & stationery supplies. Very sad to be treated so dishonestly by a company I used to depend upon. Turned in 10 cartridges in Oct 2014, another 10 in Jan, 2015, which should have produced $40 in credits. Instead I got zero. Why? Had not spent $30 at Staples in the last 180 days. I don't object to their purchase requirement policy (I now learn the $30 requirement was added in 2012) but they should not have accepted the cartridges when they had no intention of compensating me for them.

LAKELAND, FLORIDA -- On December 13, 2014, I paid Staples $1028 CASH deposit they required to purchase a new laptop. They promised delivery in 3 business days. The sales persons name was **. His manager was also involved in this transaction. I received an e-mail informing me that the order had been canceled on 12/22/2014. So, I made a special trip to the store where I purchased the laptop on South Fla Ave in Lakeland, Florida and ** assured me that the order had not been canceled and that it would in fact be delivered on 12/26/2014 and he promised he would call me on that day.

SOUTH ELGIN, ILLINOIS -- Thankfully we have Associates like Michael ** who made our shopping experience very pleasant. We are not very computer savvy and the Associate took the time and effort to answer all the questions we had. The Toshiba Laptop Satellite was on sale. The Laptop was not in stock but was delivered the next day from a different store. We declined the Extended Warranty Plan, no problem and got all the rebates. We could not be happier.

TRAVERSE CITY, MICHIGAN -- My complaint is simply not having decent customer service in our local store. In the past, it was a pleasant retailer to do biz with. However, over the past year or so it has been sorely lacking. The only thing I can think of is the previous manager is no longer there (he was always extremely friendly and helpful and the store was staffed well and seemed to run smoothly).

NASHUA, NEW HAMPSHIRE -- The worst experience ever - shipping a package through Staples\USPS. I shipped a package from Staples store via USPS on the 17th of June 2015. Almost a month now, there is no track of the package. When I called Staples, they blame USPS for the missing package, and when I call USPS they redirect me to Staples. This happened for 2 weeks straight, then I decided to conference both the parties, and the story remains the same... They blame each other on the call and drop off. Heights of pissing a customer!!! None agree to accept the blame and the customer loses the package. Sick of Staples for their customer service.

EASE WONDSOR, NEW JERSEY -- I was sold a service that did not deliver and that removed programs from my computer without consulting me. The result was that I could not do my work because all connections to servers were destroyed. I also was told to purchase the Staples anti-virus product which did not work. I had texts from cookies floating all over my screen no matter the program.

I am very upset by my most recent purchase at staples, I purchased a brand new Toshiba laptop. Got home to use it and the screen was broken. Took it in to get a different one or fixed, and they refused. Nice waste of $600! I even had the warranty.

Ordered online however they have a one-two day turn around time for it to leave the warehouse. Well it technically leaves the warehouse in about three days. When you call they try to give you the run around story that it is actually two days that it is leaving the warehouse but when you count the hours it is three. But why in a company that big does it take so long to leave the warehouse? I order online all the time from other big companies and never have a problem. I get confirmations and emails the same day or next day saying they shipped my order. And, customer service is horrible. They do not know what they are talking about, call me a few different names - I have to correct them a few times. If I didn't need some things from them because I play sports and can't find some of the stuff elsewhere I would not shop there.

I hate this store. It used to be a pretty good office supply store until they decided to become a tech store instead. Now, especially with the new manager they brought in from the defunct Bullhead store, they can't do ANYTHING right. The print shop has destroyed prints that have been brought in for mounting, print orders have been done completely wrong or damaged in shipping (my last order had to be redone multiple times before they got it right). No one will assist you with anything any longer and everyone from the manager on down is really rude.

(0) STAR!!! The evening of 10/9/15 I was at the Staples in Woodland Hills, CA inquiring about a special on the iPhone 6. The STAPLES advertisement said ''effective 10/4 to 10/10'' as listed on the card, and the phone was through Verizon. When I asked to see the phone, the rep Xavier said that they were out, and that he'll have to contact the Verizon dealer to set up an appointment, and that could take a day or two. When I asked if I would still get the special if the rep decided to come after the 10th, he did not think so and did not want to promise. I asked to see the manager so I can get a confirmation of some kind that I was there on that date, so I can show to the rep that I was there within the advertisement date but REGINA the manager on duty said NO. I said "go ahead and set me up for an appointment," but she said she had to go through her own boss (who was not there at the time) and then they'll try to get to the Verizon rep.

I went to Staples in Paramus, NJ on Oct 8, 2015 for an android upgrade. I purposely asked the employees if my voicemails would transfer. I was told absolutely. I asked numerous times. These voicemails were so IMPORTANT being they were from my deceased husband who just passed in April. All 14 of them were gone. They never transferred. They were gone forever. I got in touch with Verizon who for weeks were trying to help retrieve them but STAPLES screwed up. I called Staples and was treated very poorly by all managers I spoke to. Not an apology - nothing. I am beyond sick and livid. These are something that cannot be replaced. Incompetence at its best. Besides taking care of me they were helping 20 others. I was there for almost 2 hrs to upgrade. I Will NEVER go to Staples again. Rude and incompetent idiots.

I went to Staples to purchase a new laptop (I broke the display and power cord on mine). I selected a new Toshiba with Windows 10 and needed to have my files from my old hard drive transferred to the new laptop. The easy tech quoted $99.99 for complete setup of my new laptop and transfer of my files. I agreed and they pulled my old hard drive and verified that it was not damaged. He stated 3 days (company policy) --- but said he would work on it the next day. When I called the next day for a status update on his progress I was told, "He's not in today." This was lie number 1.

Our nonprofit was told that our local staples would print an event banner for a fundraiser. We spent an hour and a half in the store waiting patiently while the employee Liz waited on several customers while we were designing our banner. After the order was complete, we were told it would be a couple hours before it would be ready and they would call us. Our closest staples is 35 minutes away so we ate lunch and did some other shopping while we waited.

Increasingly, I've noticed that whenever I have to physically go to my nearest Staples store, I have a sense of apprehension and dread. Products are not in stock and/or a very cavalier attitude seems to be the norm. Today is the last straw. I am 61 years old, and I'm disabled; I've had 4 major spinal surgeries, and it's a miracle I can even walk. So EVERY STEP is precious to me.

Went to store to get offered rebate on 10 ream of paper for $39.99. I have done this several times and gotten ripped off once before. The checkout person ignored my request for rebate and rung up my paper for 54.99 and looked at me blankly. Only after refusing to leave the cash register and insisting to see the manager was a paper rebate offered to me. When I submitted this to STAPLES I get this postcard in return, which doesn't describe the problem or offer a reasonable solution. It's a shame that a big store like Staples rips good customers off repeatedly and willfully!

During the last weekend in November Staples ran an ad for a Lowe's $100 gift card to cost $90. The ad ran and expires 12-5. Today, 12-4 I went in to get a GC and they were out. I asked about rain checks... They don't DO rain checks. I said "You do not have enough stock." The girl shrugs her shoulders; she calls manager, "no don't do rain checks."

I placed an order of IPAD online for a black friday deal. 1 week later, I still didn't receive the item and I called the customer services. She at first told me the order is canceled because of Out of stock. Then I said "I received order confirmation after placing the order". Then she said cannot verify my credit card information. I clearly told her the billing address and it's correct. But she still said she cannot verify my information.

They don't care about the customer. Otherwise, their system would make things easy for customers. I placed an order, about a week later received an email that it was delivered. I contacted Staples online to ask them where it was delivered, because it wasn't sent to home. The support rep said it was not delivered due to some problem and that someone would contact me about it. Two more weeks passed, no one contacted me. I contacted Staples again and they said the item was delivered to local Staples, but they didn't give a hoot if the item was still there. They didn't bother to follow through, even after I was so frustrated with them. They don't care if the customer is unhappy.

They advertise a coupon online for 5 reams of paper for just $5.00. Purchase the paper waiting for my $5.00 to ring up. I tell the cashier the paper is $5.00 not $25.00. I was told there is a rebate and she hands me the receipt with a rebate receipt. I fill for the rebate and it turn out it's a gift card from Visa. So the paper now cost me $25.00 not $5.00. I could get a check when the card come to call the number on the back of gift card ask for a check be mailed to me. I said, "Ya, right." I want a check from Staples so I can put it toward my cc. Staples refuses. There is nowhere on the coupon or in the newspaper stating you are going to get a gift card. Not a check for a rebate of $20.00. This is fraud to me, or switch or bait. Not Kosher this deal. I would never buy anything in Staples again. I am a good customer with them for my business.

I just moved to Connecticut from Florida and ever since I've gotten here I've been to Staples seven times and all seven times I brought the products back. I brought in 2 computers, a brand new one still in the box and my old one to have the profiles and data transferred to the new computer. They first told me 1 to 3 days. On day 3 I called and my computer hadn't even been worked on. I asked, "when it would be ready?" They said, "tomorrow." I said, "ok." I called on that Monday to find out my computer still hadn't been touched. When I asked when it would be ready they said, "we don't close until 9 pm." I went to the store the 6th day to find out what was going on. They said, "it was all done," but I asked for a manager because of the runaround for how long it took without one single phone call after the 3rd day had come and gone.

Today, my laboratory instructing partner and I went to Staples to print a large poster. As teaching instructors we often have the need to print posters under short notice as we are at the mercy of our professors. When we asked the woman working at the printing centre if we could their express printing service she looked at us as if we had asked her to donate us a kidney. She was not remotely helpful, accommodating or apologetic when she told us that she would not print our poster for the next three days.

Called the customer service line to ask about return policy on video cards. After waiting on hold for half an hour I got a CSR that asked me "what's a video card?" Got put on hold again while she went to ask someone. If Staples wants to be a tech store like Best Buy they should at least have proper product knowledge (or teach CSRs to use Google). I went to an online forum to ask about Staples' return policy and got an answer in 5 min. Staples lost a $700 sale from me.

It was the Wednesday before Thanksgiving 2015 and my husband was working furiously to complete a project when he realized that he could not print his document because the printer required a replacement ink cartridge. Unfortunately, it was a University Project that required a midnight deadline that once sent, could not later be retrieved and printed and it was already getting to be late evening. We live in a rural town that does not have a local Staples store. I called the Gilroy Staples and asked the manager, Michael **, what time the Gilroy Staples closed. The store manager immediately understood the difficulty of us driving over an hour to the Gilroy Staples over a difficult, if not dangerous mountain pass to purchase the toner and then try to return in time (on the most busiest day of the year) to print and close out the university account by midnight.

I applied online for the Staples more account for business and was told 7-10 days I would have it. The rudeness goes from store to phone almost instantly. They said "Sorry, I can send one out next day via UPS." Now it's # days from December and I still have not gotten it yet. The customer service really sucks now and they don't give a damn. I placed an order on the morning of 10/19 for the business I work for and its expected delivery date was 10/21. I used several coupons and Reward Offers on the order (savings totaled almost $90). The order never came, and when it wasn't here by Thursday, I called Customer Service. They said that they could not find my order anywhere in the system OR my rewards. The order was lost and I had to put in a new order. My rewards were also lost and the coupon had expired. They said I couldn't use either. I made it clear that I had my reward codes right in front of me. After a long conversation and speaking to several different people, I managed to get them to use my reward codes and the coupon (I had printed everything off and read all the codes to them). I put my order in for the second time and was guaranteed delivery that same day.

I usually do my shopping at Amazon.com but I figured why not give Staples a try since I drove past one of their stores in the Bronx. To my amazement every item that I checked cost three times as much that what it sells for on Amazon!!! I use my iPhone Amazon app to scan the barcodes so price comparison is very easy. For example, prices of tapes for my Brother Label Maker, Letter size envelopes, laminate A4 paper etc. This is a daylight robbery. Go to Amazon people. Staples is a rip off!!!

I had placed an order at staples.com on the black Friday eve on 26th Nov at around 8 am for iPad air 2. I received the order confirmation email immediately.Once I had placed the order at staples I didn't bother to order the item with its competitors at the black Friday offers. Staples sent me a cancellation order on 27th Nov morning after 24 hours of placing the order. By doing so staples has successfully barred me from going ahead and purchasing the items from its competitors during the black Friday deals window. This is unethical way of beating the competition and cheating your customers.

I ordered an item online, paid for it with a credit card, and opted to pick up item at a nearby store, in 1 business day, as per online promise. The next day, I get a call from Canada: message said I had to call them, no other information given. I called, no answer. I called customer service, they had no information. I had to call Canada, so I spoke to a supervisor and told her to have Canada call me. Canada never called. Later that day, I called Canada. I keep referring to Canada, because I had no information besides that, courtesy of my caller ID.

This is the only chain store has the black list for customers both online and in store. Do not be surprised if the manager thinks you look like a criminal and escorts you out of his store. Today I walked into their Akron OH store and the over-weighted manager wants to sell something at full price while it is showing on sale in their weekly ad. Situation does not change even after a call to the corporate office. Looks like the store manager has the ability to push the corporation to reject a customer he does not like. What a joke!

I received an e-mail from Staples with an in-store use coupon for a $5.00 ream of Hammermill paper for one cent with a mail-in rebate. The coupon was to expire 3 days later, but when I went into the store the first day, they were already out of product. They said they would have more Saturday, still within the 3-day expiration period. But when I went in Saturday, they had no inventory left in the store. The manager also confirmed that they did not issue rain checks on coupon special with a deadline. Every other store I've ever been to where they've run out of any special will always issue a rain check, unless the ad says 'limited to stock on hand.' Nowhere on this coupon was that disclaimer mentioned. Isn't there a law that enough merchandise must be on hand to meet demand? How much did they expect if a ream of paper is one cent net? It's like they've gone out of their way to upset customers.

Purchased Brother MFC-J470DW printer for my daughter whilst we visiting from NH.It started playing up within a month, the Wi-Fi couldn't find the printer although the printer indicated it was connected. We managed to overcome the problem, then it reoccurred. when I arrived upon this present visit I tried to download all the drivers and apps, the procedure fried my laptop. My daughter managed to lose her receipt. I phoned Staples and asked if they could help resolve the situation, NO was their reply. The customer has just 14 days to return any computer of related equipment. They were not interested in my problems and said as much.I mistakenly phoned Walmart in the first instance truly believing I had purchased the printer from them. The manager at our local store was prepared to do anything to make amends for my experience. The moral of the story is shop at Walmart, Target, KMart....well anywhere but Staples. No wonder they are having to close stores in the less populated areas. No customer service here, truly a contradiction in terms.

I hate having to pay so much for genuine HP ink for my fantastic HP inkjet printer. Two weeks ago on a Saturday I discovered that I was out of ink. Having been to Staples recently and suffering from sticker shock I proceeded to use my Amazon Prime account to order one black ink cartridge, number 96 at a price of $26.97 with free shipping. A few minutes later I realized that I had this Staples Reward offer for $30.00 off an order of $60.00 or more, on-line only. I went to the Staples we site and ordered a two-pack of the same ink cartridges for $73.99 minus the $30.00, about $22.00 each with free shipping, a great deal. On Monday my amazon package arrived. On Thursday I receive an email from Staples stating that my package is not deliverable and that they don't deliver to PO Boxes. Really, your web site software didn't flag that while I was ordering? I called the customer service phone number and they told me that my order had been returned and that they would have to re-ship. I asked if I could do an in store pick-up and they said no. I asked who their carrier was and they could not answer that. I gave them my physical address and they said that it would ship on Monday. On the following Wednesday one of my neighbors comes by for a visit and hands me a package explaining that it was sitting next to my front tire of my car which was backed into my driveway, It was on the passenger side and was likely going to get run over as I would not have gone all the way around and checked that side before getting into my car and heading out. Really, they can't put it on the porch. Toss it into the driveway. Staples, never again! No wonder Amazon is kicking your ass!

Unfortunately,it's a unbelievably ridiculous service and management. When I paid my laptop at Walnut store I double check with their service guy---yes,one day delivery! But after one day I am not receive anything and I check the shipping status ---it will took 6 days to my house! I have travel airplane the day after tomorrow. Contact customer service no one can solve the problem. And every times transfer need waiting 30 mins until you give up. I don't understand what's wrong with this store. Ridiculous! Guarantee no more business! If you want to have a happy day ,don't deal with Staples!

Perhaps when ordering online you should include a business or residential order and also include whether or not you want to be treated poorly. I tried to order a small order to my residence there was no choice between office or residence and now I've had several calls asking me to make sure someone is home and even when I was home waiting all day three days past when my order was supposed to be here I'm still without my order and very disappointed. Perhaps staples should consider shipping through FedEx or ups at least they know what they're doing

I needed a few thousand rubber bands for my delivery company, and staples seemed like the best place to go (or that's what the prices suggested anyway). There are a wide range available, I really wasn't looking for super quality, but I didn't expect the 'flimsyest' bands you'd ever see! Yes the pricing is competitive, and the service is fantastic, but there is work to be done in the quality compartment. I rate 4/5

Craptacular service! Ordered in stock item on 3/26 with ETA for 3/28. 3/28 comes and goes with nothing delivered. Call staples: "Oh the ETA is always wrong it takes 2-6 business days." Six business days later nothing. Check my order set to be delivered by 4/6. 4/6 goes by no order go to see what is going on, on 4/7 and my order has magically disappeared. Apparently staples decided after 3 weeks of wasting my time they were going to cancel the order and act like it never happened. Lets be honest this place is good for picking up pencils and highlighters. Anything more sophisticated then that is way too hard for them!

This is must be the worst online store ever. Placed an order twice in three days and cancelled twice, I was not notified neither by phone or email, funds were charged to the credit card. Reason for cancellation because I don't have a land line phone at my address. I am a military and I don't stay more than 6 months in one place. So money gone, item not received, cancellation was not notified could it be worse than this? Thank you for reading this and before you place your order.

Staple's has been running some pretty attractive sales lately with many apparently decent prices. Kudos for that. But please pay close attention when receiving VISA card rebates. If not utilized and cashed immediately, they are quickly diminished in value by having fees applied to their value. They eventually become virtually worthless if not used. Just don't delay in spending your rebate or suffer my fate and lose hundreds.

Staples, in my opinion, are an example of what more sites should be like. I ordered some duo-tangs which I misunderstood as being a multicoloured pack, and when I got them, they were all red. So I wrote them requesting a return and within 30 minutes they responded. They gave me my money back and told me I can keep the product as well, and said to donate it to a school or organization. I thought that was absolutely amazing. Also, it got here in no time. Literally. I ordered it one day, it was here the next. Amazing service. Will be ordering my daughters school supplies from there every year.

Horrible customer service experience @ Staples on Fresh Pond in Cambridge, MA (11am Fri 9/18/15). I waited in line then asked the store manager about the rebate number that was not working on the rebate site. The mgr told me to go to support area for help which I complied. The support clerk asked me to wait again, so he can help another customer on the check-out area where I was original at. Now, I have waited approx. 10 minutes. I complained and the clerk apologized, because my time is valuable as well. What makes me more upset is that the store mgr said the support clerk was correct. If that's Staples customer service, then it deserves to lose more businesses and will close more stores. Congratulations of losing a life time customer! I love Staples stores and shop at my local store all the time yet they seem to always have the ink I require for my printer out of stock so I order it through their website.I love the Staples website. It's super easy to search for the printer ink or toner you need and purchasing is a breeze. They usually have a ton of coupons so I can almost always get a percentage or dollar amount off of my order so I can get the ink I need at a cheaper price. And, of course, the ink is in stock all the time.Delivery is free since I am a Staples Rewards member (which is free). I usually have my orders delivered to my home which takes about two days but I have had it shipped to the store and it is usually available the next day. Shipping is via UPS so everything arrives in perfect condition.Staples is my go to store for purchasing my HP ink and I just love them. I highly, highly recommend them for everything from printer ink to paper to staplers. Office suppliers are their business and they do it perfectly!

I ordered two the office chairs the other day, sold by STAPLES, I checked out and the day they were supposed to arrive I received an email from STAPLES saying they were out of stock. When I contacted STAPLES they told me "Clearance items are only available While Supplies Last", I understand that but I shouldn't have been able to check out and pay if the item was unavailable. I requested assistance from them to find a comparable chair at the same price because it was very deceiving and it is not my fault that they cannot keep track of their inventory and their customer service consisted of an "I apologize". SO just because you buy something from staples do not expect to actually recieve it. #STAPLES

I purchased a HP Laptop from Staples.com months ago. I purchased the item because I like HP products and staples offered a rebate. After the purchase, I submitted the rebate via Staples "Easy Rebate" online. I waited 6 weeks for the rebate. After not receiving it, I contacted Staples. They said the rebate was through HP and there was nothing they could do, I'd need to contact HP. I did that with no results. I was told they never received the submission. It appears to me if the rebate was not one that could be submitted through Staples, they should not allow for the submission through the Easy Rebate site. This is not the first time I've not been given a rebate offered by Staples but it will certainly be the last time. If you buy anything from Staples taking advantage of a rebate, think twice. They are just as likely to not issue the rebate as they are to grant it. It's always a coin toss with them and they are very much useless when it comes to helping you get what was promised.

I shop this site at least monthly as part of my job, stocking up on office and breakroom supplies for work. I like the Rewards - we regularly get refunds to apply to future purchases, and it gets us free shipping with no minimum. We purchase everything from soda and coffee, batteries and paper towels, calendars and calipers on this site as well as the basic labels, paper, pens and white out. I can always find online coupons to apply to my order, and shipping is super fast - we often get delivery the next day.I especially love how I can view my past orders, same items as favorites and make reordering really simple for things that we get every month. There's an option for sending print/copy jobs to the stores but starting online - we've used this once or twice and it's super convenient to not have to go to the store twice (drop off, pick up). I have had many customer service conversations via their live chat and always get great help and satisfactory resolutions - and a transcript of the chat in case I need reference. They offer price match on their items vs. other online retailers, too!Overall a great site/company.

Staples.com is an excellent source for all of your business and office supplies - whether you own a business, are a college student, or just a regular customer looking for a great selection at affordable pricing. I live about 20 minutes away from the nearest Staples store, so, for me, going to the website to shop is really just a lot easier. They have anything and everything you could think of when it comes to office supplies, and then some. They carry all of the obvious things - printers, staplers, copy paper, ink, toner, pens, computers, etc. They also have computer chairs, desks, etc. But to me, the most shocking thing is that they carry food! I laughed when I first discovered this, as they have candy, gum, chips, cases of water, and on and on. I guess it makes sense if this is a store supplying for offices - everyone needs a snack during the work day. Overall though, the website is very easy to use and navigate, the pricing is fair compared to other retailers, and usually shipping is free. Coupons can be available, and they always have daily deals and specials.

I am in charge of ordering all the office supplies for my job and generally go to Office Depot but have recently tried Staples.com. They have thousands of items to choose from such as printers, printer ink, paper, pads, pencils, envelopes, and so much more. No matter what you need for your office , you will find it here. I order all my computer ink and packing tape through Staples. They have their own store brands as well which are just as good as the name brands and much cheaper. If you order over a certain dollar amount , the shipping is free which is another big savings. Generally, your order will arrive within one business day. If something is on backorder which is rare , it generally only takes a day or two more to have it delivered. The customer service department is very helpful and the site is very easy to navigate with everything in catagories that are easy to find. I really like this website, ordering is easy and delivery is fast.

I shop Staples regularly for my personal use items, but more importantly, at work we order ALL of our office supplies from Staples. We spend hundreds (even thousands when busy) of dollars a month. After my experience today, they just lost all business from me and from work. I am a manager and I know how online reviews can effect business, so I tend to keep my opinion to myself. But today was inexcusable. I needed some copies made and the employee didn't understand what I asked him to do. Not a problem, possibly I didn't explain well. After he did the copies wrong 2 more times (after telling him each time what I needed) he started huffing and puffing, threw the lid to the copier open and began to talk to me very rudely. I kindly said, "how about you just give me my original back and I will go somewhere else." He threw open the lid and gave me back my paper. He said, "have a nice day." First of all, I'm a very busy person. I do not have time to waste running all over town. Second, I believe the employee should have never let me walk away. Before leaving the store, I explained the employees behavior to the manager, and he said, "I'll check about the problem." The manager, also should have never let me walk out. Couldn't he offer to help me? I only needed some color copies, for goodness sake. Sad that they did allow me to leave, without copies and upset. A lot of revenue just walked out the door!

I tried for two days to use this service buy online and pick up in the store. I wanted to buy a gift for my niece in PA and I live in Alaska. So I got online and tried 5 times to check out at stores that said the item was in stock. I called one of the locations and they said they had 3 in stock but did not know why the website was not working and that I could not purchase the computer over the phone. I then called staples customer service and was on the phone for 2 hours and spoke with 4 people. The first two knew nothing the 3 third lady tried to convince me because I was location in Alaska that I could not purchase anything on the website to be picked up in the lower 48. I told her that she did not know what she was talking about and that I needed to speak to her supervisor. So her supervisor gets on the phone and explains that if there is less than 5 of an item in the store that it can not be bought online. I said ok but don't you think it should say 0 in stock for purchase online pick up in store. She then told me its a new service and I that they are still working out all the problems. Dear Staples, my time matters and I would be nice if you figured out your problems before you offer a service to the public. Also, I can't believe that I was not offered a coupon or anything to redeem my time and frustration with your website and employees.

I'm posting to voice my displeasure regarding Staple's business practices and how it treats its customers. Yesterday, I downloaded a valid coupon (expires 7/28/13) from Staple's website which states, "take an extra $30 off ALL tablets," with NO expressed restrictions on the type of tablet purchased. Moreover, the coupon states that it is a valid in-store coupon evidenced by the fact that it provides "in-store coupon code 35852". However, when I tried to use the coupon in-store on the new Nexus 7, I was told by the store manager that the new Nexus 7 is not included as one of the tablets available under the coupon. Additionally, I was told that the coupon does not apply to the new Nexus 7 because Stapes did not "intend" for the coupon to be applicable when the coupon was was originally offered. While I do understand the aforementioned rational, Staples should have provide such a disclaimer on its website, in its stores; or revise the coupon itself. Simply put, if corporate decides to release a product early (EG: new Nexus 7) and does not intend for it to apply under one of its current coupons, Staples should inform its customers of its intentions. Rather, what Staples did was a misrepresentation, and as a result, I wasted over an hour and a half driving to your store and dealing with your in-store manager. I am very disappointed at Staples for not honoring a valid coupon which I tried to use under its expressed terms. Furthermore, I am disappointed at Staple's customer service and for its unwillingness to do what is right for its customers. If Staples offers a coupon, it should honor it, if the coupon is being used correctly under its expressed terms. Clearly, customer service is not one of Staple's top priorities unlike other companies, such as Best Buy, who have publicly honored coupons in similar situations. Needless to say, I will be taking my business elsewhere in the future.

I am very pleased with Staples Service. A year ago I bought a Windows 8 HP computer and it has given me problems for the past year. After spending much time in the Staples store, diagnostics showed that 4 USB plugs were not working. I had Square Trade Warranty Service and I was upset that they did not come to my house to diagnose and fix the problem. After sending me the parts, they canceled my repair by which I was upset about that. Then I called and discussed the matter. They told me to call the place and that they would reimburse me for the repair. I did just that and I was very surprised that the repair was going to be over $500. That's when I understood that they were telling me the truth about my computer. So I called them back and told them that I would except the offer of $500 in return for the old computer. I then went out and bought the computer of my choice which was a Dell Windows 7. This is what I wanted a year ago but it was not available. I am very please that I finally am getting the computer that I wanted after all the trouble I went through. I am also pleased that I got properly compensated for my inconveniences. Thank you Staples!

Staples absolutely SUCKS.  I ordered stuff with 1-day-guaranteed delivery, was told that 2 days was the best they could do, and (when it didn't come in 2 days) they told me they could "re-order" after the end of the THIRD day (for 2-day delivery again) which, in case you're keeping track, is FIVE days later.... my advice?  Stick with Office Depot (I should have!).  They have NEVER jerked me around like this!

Looking for a desk chair online with a very tight budget... found a really nice one on sale for $49.99.  Tried to order online and had problems logging on.  Called in and a helpful lady explained that my rewards account, even though it sends me countless emails, is not the same as an actual account to buy from.  (this strikes me as the opposite of "easy" - two different logins and passwords - but it wasn't her fault)  We went through the process of setting up both accounts.  I couldn't order yet because they hadn't offered a crucial measurement; the arm rest height, so I wasn't sure if it would fit under my low desk.  Called the store the next day to see if they would check.  They did.  It should fit.  When I went to order online, suddenly the price had jumped by $10.  Called in again, got an agent who admitted she didn't know why it happened, as sale prices usually run to the weekend, but she offered no resolution.  Called President's Office.  LONG wait on hold, then I got a guy named Jeffrey who was clearly determined to help.  He said it would take a while to look up the price and figure out why it might have changed, but he offered to take the order immediately with a $20 off discount.  So I got the price I wanted plus $10 more off.  No complaints there, and the agent was VERY helpful.

Corporate office that sits in Framingham, MA for this U.S.'s office supply giant, Staples. Customer service is stoic and callous for cookie-cutter of nearly all it's U.S. retail locations or nonexistent. Price is mid to steep as it is certainly no ninty-nine center junkie retailer though. Selection of brand office products and equipment are up to par for carrying Filo Fax; Avery labels; Mead composition notebooks, etc. Staff needs a overhaul makeover with Emily Post Etiquette; Kate Spade Manners and Kay West's "How to Raise a Gentleman" as many employees are uncultured inarticulate in oral communication for the most professionalism forward way.

I received  a Staples Personal Account credit card in the mail, then placed an online order, resulting in a hold put on that order. The Customer Service Rep explained to me to it's policy when placing online orders for the 1st time is to "simply go into a Staples Store so the sales people can verify the account." I agreed this is a great way to hinder credit card theft from mailboxes. So I went out of my way and drove to Staples store #1887, and went to pay for about $80 in merchandise. Between the sales person AND the manager (Pam the manger, by the way, has A+ customer service skills), NO ONE COULD GET THROUGH THE AUTOMATED PHONE SYSTEM TO VERIFY MY ACCOUNT!It was NOT EASY as their marketing campaign claims, and after FIFTEEN MINUTES OF WAITING I told Pam to put everything back and forget my purchase. While its system sounds good, it is not. The reason I applied for the card in the 1st place was to have my orders delivered to my front door as it is VERY INCONVENIENT for me to drive to Staples.I will be closing my account and NEVER SHOP AT STAPLES AGAIN - EVER!

Difficulties with tech support. Like any other Staples, this one has your basic computer and office supplies. If you are there to receive tech support, however, be extremely diligent about getting your problem solved and getting an clear explanation of what the problem was because they will take your money whether or not they are able to find or even solve your problem. Unable to identify the issues that we were concerned about, tech support rebooted the computer and sent it home with us, claiming 'Not exactly sure what the issue was, but that should fix it.' It was very disappointing to find that when told they had not fixed the problem because my computer was not only not fixed but worse off some month-and-a-half later, they informed me I could pay another $75 and they would give it another go. Being a billion dollar corporation does not exempt you from providing good customer service, it should guarantee that you do.

Sometimes they can print what you ask. Other times they cant. Even when you show them what they were able to do before, they are somehow unable to replicate it. Machines too old to handle .bmp and .tif files. I'd suggest just using their website to make your prints, if you've got the time to wait for shipping, or the best option would be using another company all together. Highest prices on every product. You never hear staples talking about a lowest price guarantee. It'd be different if they were a mom and pop shop, but they're not. At least the employees are nice.

The staff here seems to be half great people who are nice and friendly and want to help out if they can, and half ....really out there. One of the easy tech guys likes to tell you all about how he knows more than you do about anything, in a condescending manner, especially things that would be completely obvious anyway. And will never stop talking. You literally have to walk away with no warning. He might even follow you. Leave the store. The print center seems to have ONE employee that knows what he is doing. The print manager is lazy, rude, completely unprofessional, will take hours to be "done" with anything, and even then its completely wrong. He doesn't listen to what you want in the first place, and then he will charge you for the prints he messes up AND then $1/minute for fixing his mistakes. He could just listen to you the first time. The one good employee in the print center always does amazing things. It blows my mind that he can do so great with such poor equipment to work with. Sadly, with all the poor printing I have been receiving lately from the other employees, and unsatisfactory out of house printed business cards, I won't be returning. Not even for the one great guy in the print center. As far as supplies go, I mean its brand name stuff and its about the same as everywhere else. Cashiers are nice. Chairs are comfy. I really only went here for the print center... Only reason this gets an extra star is that ONE guy that knows what he is doing.

probably the WORST staples experience that I've ever had. went in looking for a card to buy time on my pay as you go Verizon phone. The sales person in that area basically told me that I was a fool for going pay as you go and that I should immediately upgrade my service. sold me a $60 card that won't work for what I'm doing. I spend well over $1000 a year on office supplies and it won't be from this store.

What is the Copy and Print studio even good for? I couldn't find my flash drive so I called and they told me I could email the file over to print in the store. I told the person on the phone I needed some help getting the margins just right as I was printing for an invitation project I was working on. Emailed the file, drove to the store, and when I got there the file I sent over was formatted totally different with completely different font. Apparently our Microsoft Word programs were different years and weren't compatible. They wanted to charge me $10 just to get the document formated back to the way I had it or 30 some odd cents a minute for me to use their computers to do it myself! I was even open to just using their "invitation" creator software if it meant I could get what I wanted and not pay a stupid amount for something I had already spent time creating. But they have no why of telling me what the margins would be before they print (all I wanted to print was text) without "guess and checking". For the hassle and amount they want for something that should be so simple, I'll just order PROFESSIONAL invitations online. Don't waste your time.

Staples should do us all a favor and close this branch. If you want the worst possible customer service experience you could ever ask for, visit this Staples. No seriously, spend the extra 2 minutes and go to the Staples at West 11th and save yourself a headache. Alternative Solution: Replace the store manager with a self checkout machine. At least the machine would know how to do its job.

When we need computer ink, or just any kind of office supply this is where I go. The people are friendly and if I can't find it there's always someone around to help me. They also have a UPS store inside the store and printing company. I've used this store for gifts from Birthday to Christmas one of the gifts I bought that was loved and is still loved by my husband was a good a really good ink pen and they have rewards for almost everything you buy just sign up for a card then all you need to do is punch in your phone number at the beginning or at the end of you purchase. I receive a coupon about every other month for $15 to $20 dollars I can spend on anything I want and when I buy ink, I take my empty ink cartridge back and get free paper or coupons for cheaper ink on the next perchase.

Recently this store ran a contest called PUSH It Forward Contest, an opportunity for small businesses to win cash to help pay for online marketing efforts. A local business called Maple Creek Gunsmithing, (a licensed thus legal) firearms store submitted an application. They were denied and here is an excerpt of the response from the store as to why they are rejected. We’re sorry, but your small business entry into the Staples PUSH It Forward Contest has been rejected* for the following reason(s): Entry contains content that promotes alcohol, illegal drugs, tobacco, firearms/weapons (or the use of any of the foregoing); promotes any activities that may appear unsafe or dangerous; promotes any particular political agenda or message; is obscene or offensive; or endorses any form of hate or hate group. Please visit the Staples PUSH It Forward Contest if you wish to submit a new entry for your small business. There is no evidence that the store promotes illegal drug activity or any violation of laws. However Staples includes them in the hate groups and other unlawful activities which I find highly objectionable. Additionally since the activity of legal firearm use is a Constitutionally protected act is is un American to reject their application based solely or in part because of their legal, protected behavior. Stores such as Staples operate on a close profit margin and to alienate any legal operating group seems to risk it's bottom line. After all everything Staples sells is available elsewhere in the community.

I went to Staples today and had a really bad experience. I had been seeing the ads on TV promising the 110% price matching guarantee. So, today I drove an hour and a half to go buy 400 composition notebooks and 180 two pocket folders. When I got there the sign on the notebooks said you could only get the sale price on the first thirty that you bought. I wasn't worried because I knew I could get the sale price on all of them by showing them the Walmart ad for 50 cents. Well, I was wrong. The girl who was checking me out said it was fine, but then some guy from the next register said no. His reasoning was that to get the price match guarantee, it had to be the EXACT same product. Well, the composition notebooks were STAPLES Composition Notebooks, not WALMART Composition Notebooks, even though they look identical. So basically, the price match guarantee is a joke, and I drove and hour and a half each way and only spent $19.50 instead of the almost $300.00 I was planning on spending.

my entire experience with staples, with two stores in greensboro, two phone calls to corporate, and their protection plan is absolutely horrible. I have never thought highly of best buy...but i will absoluately never buy anything from staples again. I was sold two defective products; one of which was already returned as damaged. when i complained to corporate i was misinformed that i needed to return it to the store i bought it, so i had to drive over an hour out of my way when that wasn't true. then i was issued a credit from corporate the second time i complained. when the item was damaged several month later and i used protection plan the store credit amount wasn't covered; so even though i had to pay the full price for the protection plan i cannot get replace the item. it also took two tried to get the refund issued to me. the whole corporation is terrible.

Some guy came to the Dollar Tree on New Garden and propositioned my girlfriend, an Assisstant Manager, to apply at Staples. She declined, but referred me to the job instead, as I JUST quit my last. After putting in my resume and applying online, I attempted to call and see if John (the contact I was supposed to refer to) was there to review my application and possibly set up an interview. They refuse to answer the phone. I just spent 30 minutes trying to dial them to talk to the manager. Every 120 seconds, the line would go dead, and I would redial and repeat the process. Apparently they really DO need the help. I recommend they have someone answer the phone. You never know who it could be.

This was the worst customer service experience I have ever had in my life. After standing around waiting for someone to help me, I was bounced back and forth between associates who were unable to give me a clear answer about my print job. This was a time sensitive matter and I tried to explain that to all parties involved. HOWEVER, no one seemed to want to help me in any way. After waiting over an hour for my printed materials, one of the employees walked out from the back and told me they could not print it because of the size of the paper. IS THIS NOT A COPY AND PRINT SHOP??? It says explicitly on the wall that they can do any custom printing needed. I ended up having to print everything from them on 8.5 x 11 paper and then had to cut it all myself. When it was all said and done they ended up charging me almost $120.00 for one of the worst and most stressful experiences I have ever had. DO NOT EVER GO TO STAPLES! I WOULD GIVE IT ZERO STARS IF POSSIBLE.

My desktop computer had its first ever virus. After over $300 spent at Staples the virus was gone, but so was a lot else. I couldn't even see the fuzzy screens, connect to my printer or fax, locate some of my files and even the alphabetized lists were in reverse alphabetical order. (How do you do that?) When I called, they pretended not to know me (they had two computers in that day) and then blamed me for the problems. They said they could fix it - for another fee - if I would bring it in again. I admit to a pet peeve: when "customer service" blames the customer. Shame on you Staples.

I don't want to be rude here, but I am starting to feel like Staples is one of those stores fizzling out as the society turns to online shopping but I wanted to review this store anyway... The staff here is very helpful & knowledgeable, this store is big & clean, the selection is good... but the prices are just ridiculous on some things! It's not that quality is bad for the price, but it seems they prefer carrying only 'top of the line' for some things, like office furniture for example - but sometimes people want just the cheap $30.00 no fuss office chair and this is NOT the place to get it. If you aren't on a budget - go here, if you are just looking to get the most for your dollar look elsewhere. :)

This is Texas.....it is 100 degrees outside! Apparently, "corporate" shuts off the air conditioner half hour before closing. This store closes at 7pm. At 6:30 pm, the air conditioner is turned off. I walked in at 6:35. The store already felt stiffeling stuffy and hot with the humidity in the store sky-rocketing. By the time I found what was looking for in the store, sweat was on my forehead. Obviously, must also feel incredibly sorry for the employees. They looked miserable in the heat! Turning off the air conditioner 30 minutes before closing is the most un-customer oriented thing to do. Turning off the air conditioner for your Texas employees shows how Staples treats their employees. I will not be returning to Staples. This store closes one to two hours before other Staples in the area. This store is located in a prime shopping part of town. This is another very, very poor management decision. Bet you loose a bunch of customers between 7 and 8 or 9 pm. Bet you loose customers because of the "corporate" decision to turn off the A/C at 6:30!!! Good luck Arlington Staples!

Unable to ask for help I circled the store to find my cartridge or help finding it. I found neither and proceeded to check out. When checkout employee didn't ask if I needed any help or if I found everything I was looking for I mentioned I needed this cartridge. She proceeded to use her communication system to ask the 'many techs on the floor' for their assistance. I waited another minute with no answer coming to her, and I left when she asked if anyone was going to answer her or should the customer leave. Not helpful or smart customer service. This store rarely has anything in the tech section. They dont have most of the stuff on display in stock. The current general manager, Don, and one of the cashier, Travis, need serious training for customer service. They are like punks from the street corner, with no respect for customers. I asked them a few questions about store policy and they raised their attitude with me. They looked at me like i were trying to scam them. The store was kind of empty and they acted like they had to run to the next customer, but really they just wanted to go back to sit in their small office. The highschool looking cashier, Travis, was even better. No greeting, he then tried to interrogate me for having 4 Amex credit cards. He thinks i am a scam artist. He spent all his time trying to make sure that i am legit and forgot to put my staples reward in the system. He didnt seem to care about that, or apologized, he wanted me out the door. I dont know what gives him the right to treat a customer like that. I am a 10 years plus premier customer, and i am really disappoint in this store customer service.

I called this Staples store to find out if they recycle old monitors. Then, a helpful Rep answered the phone and confirmed that they accept old monitors. So, I've been told to bring our old monitors to their store for recycle. Upon my arrival, the cashier asked another Rep "A" who was standing by their printing area about their old monitor's policy. Rep "A" wasn't friendly, professional, or polite in handling this situation. It was obvious that he was trying the best he could to cause frustration on both me and their cashier. I was ready to leave the store as soon as possible because his attitude was unbearable. The unprofessional rep kept ignoring both me and the cashier, and was also delaying responses for no clear reasons. He finally gave us a cold answer saying that they won't accept monitors with a glass screen (it looks like old monitors supposed to be made with a plastic screen). After his disrespectful response, I thanked the cashier for his effort to help and walked out with no desire to come back to that store again. I'm a Staples business customer and will continue to do business with Staples but apart from that Colorado Blvd. store. I hope that people working there will be properly trained and required to maintain a professional, respectful, and positive attitude when speaking with customers.

First of all it's a ridiculously long automated list I have to listen to. Second, they ask WHO I want to talk to. They're going to send you to any one who will answer phone. Now, I'm on what I endearingly call FOREVER HOLD. So far, 4 minutes. And all to find out if a stamp I ordered made is ready. They said 3 days ago they would call, but I've heard from no one. Another hold to see if they can find it . . . after 1 minute, came back on line. Same man asked same questions. Again with name, company name. Then I gave order number. Anther hold . . . Came back to tell me it has to be sent away and don't know when it will be in.

I purchased a kindle HD from here. After almost a week I decided to exchange for the nexus 7. I looked at the staples website and saw that the nexus 7 32GB was in stock for pretty much all of the stores in my area. I called this location to make sure the item was actually in stock. I was placed on hold and the sales person told me they did have them in stock and that they had just got a shipment in that same morning and had quite a few. I hung up with her. I then called back 10 mins later and the same person answered, I just wanted to mention that I would be returning the kindle to make sure there wouldn't be any problems. I also mentioned the nexus to her again and she explained that she had acutally saw them and ensured me that if I came around 3 pm that day I should be able to get one. I was looking a little further on the staples website and noticed that I could reserve the nexus and so I did. I also reserved it at another location (Largo) insticts told me so. I received confirmation from both locations of my reserved item. But to my surprise when I got to the greenbelt location I was told by the "manager" that they did not have any in stock and that the nexus that I reserved was defective??? He explained that the website has no real connection with the merchandise in the store to recongnize if an item is defective or not. It just sees that there is one in the store. I mentioned that I had spoken with someone earlier that day and they told me that they received a shipment in. I was told by the "manager" that they had not received any shipments in and that it was around the holidays so the item is pretty much sold out everywhere. I couldn't believe that I was just told a "lie" earlier that day. I asked the manager to look up the Largo location to see if they had any (which would include my reserved item) He told me that he only saw in their system that there were 2 at the Largo location, 1 was the display and the other was defective also, huh??? He then said the closest staples that had the item would be Arundel Mills and he called to confirm they had the item. So I was on my way to Arundel Mills and had an urge to call the Largo store. Lo and behold the manager of that store told me that they in fact had my reserved item and that it was indeed not defective. Needless to say I will never shop at this location again.

Worked for this company back in 2007, My manager said some really inappropriate things to me, after I left (which was about a day later) I called and reported what she said with no outcome. I think they should pay more attention to their managers and who they hire to avoid lawsuits.

Very bad service, this people in the printing services don't know what they doing. You ask a simple question and don't know the answer; price, paper size, matte, gloss.. I ordered 8 color print 8x10 cardboard matte, nothing complicate for a printing business, and they said I should wait 2 hours. I said ok since I don't need it until the next day. No call, text or email notification after the two hours, so I decided to pick it up next day before work meeting. They didn't find the prints, so they had to printing again. I had to wait like 30 minutes for that.

Worst experience with their laminations. They ruined all of my posters! Brand new posters that I thought I was going to protect by getting them laminated looked like a heat gun had gotten to them went staples returned them for me. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE!! The only thing they offered me was to pay for all the laminations. Ya you better because I wasn't going to pay for any of them! But the pictures were all ruined. Never ever going back to staples. Made an enemy for life! If they had just compensated me for the posters then I would have said well tough luck, but they just ruined my artwork and said sorry and walked away from the situation with the free laminations only costing them labor I'm sure.

Beware of this Staples location. We had the worst experience there. They ruined our wedding invitations not once but two times! They let us pick up the invitations and go home with them, we trusted that they did it right the second time, and they did not tell us they messed up AGAIN. We had to make another trip back to the store to try and fix the problem and they were not remorseful (except for the manager), they did not care that they ruined such expensive invitations, there was no way to fix them, they were ruined so badly. The fact that they completely ruined them two times, when we had very specific directions (and easy directions) for them to follow is unacceptable. It completely ruined part of our wedding. We will NEVER go back to Staples ever again!

I went to Staples on Beechmont Ave. in Anderson Township in Cincinnati to purchase a printer. After looking at a few Epson models, one of the sales associates convinced me to buy an Epson WF 4630. The price was $199.00 but he told me that if I brought in an old printer, they would give me an additional $50 off. After comparing this model to a lesser $99 model, the sales associate pointed out the ink savings in the long run of the more expensive model. I then went home to get my old printer and drove back to the store. When I reached the check out register, the cashier told me that that promotion was not coming up so he contacted another associate (manager?). She told me that the promotion was for printers that were $299 or more (oddly, the original price for this printer was $299). I told her that the man I dealt with originally had told me that the promotion included that model. She said there was no way to override it and thereby not honor the price I was offered. She offered to help me find another printer but I was not interested. I left and told her I would not be back. I then went to Best Buy and found the same printer at the same price with the same promotion. I brought in my printer and when I went to check out, I was told that the promotion was over. When I told them that they still had the sign up offering $50 off, they gave it to me at that price and subsequently removed the sign. I told them I was was appreciative of them honoring the advertised price which I thought was the right thing to do. They got it right, Staples didn't. That is the glory of the free market system. You can go elsewhere. Staples lost a sale and a loyal Rewards customer.

Spent some time looking at lamps. NONE of the lamps on display were priced. Took me time to find an associate. When I did he took the lamp I was looking to buy and said he'd find the price for me. I waited 10 full minutes and nothing. I went up front to find help and the guy who took the lamp was in the Phone section helping someone else. I had a pile of merchandise I just put down and left. Bought a lamps at target. Got the other stuff there too. Took under 5 minutes. I avoid that place if I can.

Every time I go here, it's a total waste of time. I always end up finding somewhere else to get what I need. They have zero customer service. There's never any employees around to help you find things. One time, an employee even told me that she can't help me because it's not her department, as if it's such a large store. Their print machines are not user friendly at all, but the employees won't help you either. They just tell you to go use the machine yourself. There's basically no point in even trying, just go somewhere else to begin with.

I am only reviewing this locations Customer Service, as I didn't even have to go to the store to learn how unfavorable it was. I called and spoke with a person named Josh and inquired about them having a printer in stock. I was told I would be transferred to Joe who could help me. After five minutes of hold music I felt like I was calling my cable provider or something. Five minutes and not one person picking the phone up to help or even say we will be with you in a moment? I called about an item in stock which equates to, if you have it I will be there to buy it. So I hung up, called Office Depot in Royal Oak and within thirty seconds found my printer. Staples loss was Office Depot's gain.

I had an issue with a chair I purchased that started to tear a year later. I had purchased the in store warranty and called them. They wrote me a check for the price I had originally paid for it. I returned to the store to buy the same chair again and the price had increased. I spoke with the manager and he was really cool about it. He saw my original proof of purchase and warranty and went ahead and let me re-buy it for the same original amount. Now that's what I consider good customer service.

I really hope you read this review and take it to heart staples whoever you are. This location is the worst Staples I have ever been to. I waited 30 minutes to get help in furniture no one came so I went to the front and the person helping me couldn't even locate the chair at his store let a lone another store which I had to call myself. If anyone is reading this review I would go to another office supply store. I worked at Staples for 2 years and If i treated customers like this staples treats customers we would have been out of business a long time ago. It's sad to see how far staples has fallen in terms of customer service. When it takes 3 associates to find one item at another store obviously someone is not training someone correctly. My phone was dying so I asked if I could use theirs to call the other staples and they said I couldn't so I asked if the associate could call and his eyes looked up at me like I was asking him to commit a crime. This place sucks. I will contact management and let them know. The icing on the cake was right when the associate was actually helping me he was told to go check someone out while the guy working the register bought his beverage right in front of me. This is ridiculous.

Poor customer service. I order online print work on Thursday May 5, 2016 and received an e-mail Friday May 6, 2016 morning notifying the order was ready for pick up. I went to the store to pick up the order Saturday May 7, 2016 and they were not able to find it. I ask to talk to the Manager and Mr Derrick the store manager on duty just told me Staples never guaranty any online order will be ready in any specific time and they are too busy to guaranty me the order will be ready before Monday. He said the e-mail confirming the order was ready did not mean anything. Now I have an important business meeting on Monday morning and I do not have important material needed for that meeting. Mr Derrick basically did not care to offer any solution to this problem. Very frustrating.

I ordered same day business cards from the Allen location but since they couldn't finish my order in time due to a broken machine they transferred my order to this Mckinney location. I decided to call the Mckinney location to make sure my order was transferred and to get an estimation when my order would be done. When I called they told me that they would be ready in a few days. I told them I ordered same day service for a reason and I needed them in a day not in a few days. The lady told they would be ready the next day. I called around noon the next day and they told me that they haven't been able to open the file due to problems with their computers. She tried again while I was on the phone with her and was able to open it so she told me they would be done at 2pm. When I went to pick them up the person behind the counter was helping another customer so I waited my turn to be helped. While I was waiting another couple people came up to the counter. When she finished with the person she started waiting on the other customers they came in after me. Then she came over to me while helping the other person to see what I needed. I asked for my business cards and so she called another associate to help me. I find it to be really bad customer service to not help people in the order they arrive to the counter. I quickly scanned through my cards to make sure there weren't any major problems. I paid for my services and they wouldn't offer any discount even though all the problems were their fault. I got home and took a closer look at my cards and I can't use half of them because the did not cut them properly. The text is not centered and I checked my image that was sent for the order to make sure it wasn't my fault and the image I sent is correct and centered. I am tired of dealing with the people at the stores so I tried contacting the general customer service line on their website and they won't help me either since it was in store purchase. So if you have a choice don't use any Staples for any of your printing services.

Brandon saved the day! I ordered some business cards online. The receipt stated "same-day" but did not give a time. I stopped by the store and went to the print services counter. The employee behind the counter was helping another customer, and there was a problem with the drawer, so the manager Jo was called over. The manager worked on the cash drawer while the employee helped me. The employee seemed surprised when I asked when my cards would be done, then went and checked the computer and stated that there were 3 orders ahead of mine, and that they were "very busy". Meanwhile Jo finished working on the stuck drawer (after hearing the whole conversation) and walked back over to one of the front registers. There were other employees at the front registers and not a big line. I asked when I should come back, and the employee stated that I would get a phone call. I asked they verify my number, and they had the correct number. I never received a call. The next day I called the store and asked for the manager, after a few minutes waiting on hold, Brandon came on. I asked Brandon if he was the manager, and he stated that he was assistant manager, that the manager Jo was assisting a customer. I asked Brandon how long it typically takes for business cards that were ordered over the internet to be completed. He stated they try for 24 hour turnaround. I informed him that my receipt states same-day and does not give a time. He checked on my order and saw that it had been completed the night before. When I went to pick up my order, Brandon met me at the counter. He apologized for the problems, and had made sure there was a discount coupon on my order. Brandon gets 5 stars, but the store gets 0 stars for an online order to the print shop.

I just went in to this Staples location to buy shipping labels. I forgot my credit card, but I have all of my numbers memorized. I asked if I could simply tell the associate my number, expiration, 4-digit security code, billing zip, etc. The associate had to call the manager for permission to accept this payment method (the same payment method for any phone order). Turns out it's against store policy. I was turned away. Guess what I'm doing now? Buying labels on Amazon for 57% of the cost relative to the Staples' price. Plus, it will be delivered to my doorstep and I don't have to deal with this arcane store policy. I've shopped at this Williston Staples for years. Might have been my last time, especially now that I have a price comparison. A good rule in business: never turn away a paying customer. Also, discretion is good; why would I want to use stolen credit card info to buy shipping labels?

I needed an artwork printed on 9×12. The self service kiosks have no large size paper. The machines do, but you don't get to choose paper alignment so it basically fits whatever it sees onto full paper size. Even though I explained them all this (apparently I knew more than them on their services!!) they kept getting me wrong size prints. Then they go like "your doc settings are wrong!" They made me spent about 10 bucks for trash! Go to local print shops people! Costs less and you get what you want with so much more support!!! So many of them around the block.

They were totally unhelpful. I mean that's what they are paid for. The support staff forced me to get a simple print for $4. First they said their auto machines dont work on my mac thumb drive. Then they asked me to email. Upon my rmail they asked me to come later as they cant login. As I told them its just press the print button- no LiveNation login required. The team of unqualified n rude staff then directed me to come after 2 hours as apparently there were other prints in line. PCs were free staff were roaming around. Finally one of them forced me to use their PC n put my card in the line of fire. First I got wrong prints and upon their instructions I finally got thr right ones. I had to pay it for all. Wasted prints, wasted time logged on PC, n my personal time wasted when I chose Staples as I was on my way to concert n wanted tickets printed out. Viccinity of students made them treat everyone bad. But its same- the one on Broadway said none of their machines are operational. Time for shut shop. They are either over or understaffed- which becomes their failure. I agree with everyone here with big shame.

One of the nastiest, most negative environments. The employees need to work harder to make their personal life more pleasing so they don't go to work and treat whoever they want, however they want just because they feel cheated in their life. That is none of our problem. They really need to grow up, fix their attitudes, and act like professional grownups. Such fake, snobby, rude, unhelpful staff. I found an all-in-one canon printer for 399.99 at staples on line. I went to the store in sioux falls to see if I could get it there. They told me it was only available on line. I ordered it and when it came in I was very busy with work and didn't take it out of the box for about 8-9 days. When I opened it and got it hooked up and all the drivers installed thing seemed great until the next day when my wife was trying to do some very basic things with it just printing. The weird thing is it's default setting is both side printing which is great for a few things we do. But every time you don't want it to you have to go into the menu and select one sided printing. Then the very next thing you go to print, like paychecks, you have to go in each time and and select one sided printing. (very annoying). After a day or two of suffering through it I went online to see if there was an updated driver to solve this problem and wow, did I come accross a bunch of people in forums that in time discovered many other poor software issues. Finnally on day 17 I called staples to see if I could exchange it. They simple refused and said no because I was 3 days past the 14 day cutoff. I called the reatil store to see if I coould get some consideration there since I did want to buy it there, where I had bought many things in the past. The answer was no. I will not by a paper clip from them. It upsets me to even drive by the store.

I purchased a Chrome Notebook but the instruction book is WORTHLESS! but figured out by myself a few things. Then when I got a printer, it needed a certain password which had to be done at my house at a fee of $100. The tech really didn't know what he was doing - kept going to GOOGLE to see what was next.........then I learned my Notebook was to small to hold the photos I want . He showed me briefly how to put some pictures in and only ONE comes up.( I take a lot of random photos for scrapbooking etc...cheap camera) and the tech told me I needed the portable hard drive to hold all my photos. So I purchased it from him the next day and this instruction book is worthless also. I called Staples in SF today and the techs were busy but they would call me................Guess what - that's been 7 hours ago and still no call. I finally got smart and went to the Center for Active Generations and they will give me all the help I want - all I need to do is show up! SO I guess I too will KISS Staples GOODBYE.Staples --you lost another customer...my neighbors say the same thing!!!

Worst Staples store in the entire company. Ordered a few items for in store pickup. the site says one hour. I ordered at 10:00am and went to get the items at 3:00PM and they had not even started putting the items together. Since I was the only one in the store I asked if they could put it together for me. I was told that they would call when it was ready. No call from the store I called the store the next day a full 24 hours later to see if it was ready and it was still not ready for pickup. If you are going to order for in store pickup just drive over and get the items yourself and save a lot of frustration. Remember in store pick is available in 1 hour. what a joke!

Received a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite for Christmas. This product has had several problems since the day I opened it, however, I did not attempt to return it before the 14 day return cut-off, as my mother purchased it on Black Friday. The staff member who answered the phone, not only spoke so fast, using an incredibly thick urban accent, but she was also very rude, especially when I asked for her name. She claims she didn't hang up on me, yet she neglected to tell me she was placing me on hold, therefore, I hung up and called back. I asked to speak to the manager she gave me the name of during our first conversation, however, she actually patched me through to the general manager instead. July 4th I was traveling with my family and friends (two separate vehicles) and upon crossing the Bridge we got separated out of the Toll Plaza and ended up going in two separate directions. Our radios were out of range, my cell phone would not hold a signal and we had no way of getting in touch with each other or getting back to them. I pulled off the highway exit 4 and into the yard of Staples. Being July 4th I figured everything would be closed and didn't know what or where to go from this point. Also, not having travelled through this route before didn't really know how to get back on track either. To my amazement the Staples Store was open. I went in and straight back to the photocopy / business centre and asked for assistance explaining our situation. Two staff members helped me out. I was able to find out where I was, where I needed to go to get back on track for home and one staff member even offered her personal cell phone so I could try to connect with our Friends travelling with us to let them know we were ok, and that we would be travelling a different route. I was also able to use her phone to call support for my own cell phone and get it working again. She let a complete stranger use her personal cell phone because we were in a real bind and needed the help. Between these two employees, even though I did not purchase anything from this store, they went above and beyond as far as I'm concerned and it really was very much appreciated. Not sure if the store manager reads these reviews or not but I wanted to make sure to say thank you. We made it home that night by 1:30 am a 10hour drive and had no further issues along the way. Between you Jamy and your co-worker who lent me her phone, thank you.

Very slow service and terrible, I came here to print several document, sign then and after scan then to send it to my email. It took me around 3 hours to finish up all service here, which was a long time, my documents were around 30 pages, but this does not justify the time that I spend of here, I had many inconvenient, one of my first papers were printing blank, which delay me for about 30 minutes, I call several time the staff, but they ignored me something that was very boorish of them. When finally someone decided to help me, he realize that the printer, that I was using, was having problem and didn't want to print my document, after this he decide to printed in the printer that is inside of the office, it took about 20 minutes to print the document and hand it to me. The staff here should learn some customer service, and should not be jumping from customers to customers, before he o she make sure that the customers have finish with all service that he o she require.

I phoned to find out about printing a document from my email. I understand that I may need to create a PDF or go through some process to ensure this happens. I need a printout of the email. I phone ahead to make sure I am prepared for when I come in. Why do I need to sit and listen to all the things you can't do? I may have been rude by interrupting the woman on the phone but I asked her can't she just tell me what she can do? And tell me what I would need to do to make this happen? I'm on a schedule. I need to make this happen. Even after I explain that creating a pdf from my email would be no problem I know how to do this and can email it to your location I want to verify this is what I need to do and she is like telling me more of what they can't do and finally she is like yeah this would be the preferred process. Maybe this is a 'no experience necessary' position answering the phones here.. But seriously if there were other options and I wasn't out of town and needing to print out my documents I would have searched far and wide for other services. Halfway through the conversation with her I actually considered just buying a new printer. I am glad I don't live here and have to depend on these services.

Never going back. They always have difficulty finding my (web) order and most of the time it's wrong. They scale my images/docs when I ask them not to. Most recently, they tried to send me out the door with a color photo print that had been marred/marked by the copier machine. It's unfortunate that the machine is broken, but I should not have been notified that my order was complete when it was not, and an employee should not have tried to send me on my way with a botched print job (as my grandmother's birthday present). There's no quality control here and most employees seem unqualified or ambivalent toward their work. From now on, it's FedEx Office for me.

Staples for the most part has fine office supplies. But their electronics are not very good quality and neither is their return policy. After a few weeks my expensive printer stopped working. I took it into the store and was politely told there is nothing they can do. They went on about how I should have bought an extended warranty (stated multiple times), and since it was after 14 days it was between me and the printer company. Its not the staff's fault, the company doesn't stand behind the products it sells. But it would have been nice to at least them try to help me, instead of saying oh well, I hope you can get it fixed.

When I took my invitations to get printed here, they told me they would call me when they were ready, and that it would take 24 hours. After two days of waiting I finally called to ask and they said they had been ready since yesterday. Nobody had bothered to call. Then when I looked at the invitations, about half of them were cut crooked and were off center. I would definitely not print your stuff here.

This store is poorly staffed. We submitted a print job for flyers, posters, and info cards. First, the "printer broke down". Then, the "card cutter broke down". Finally, the "poster mounting machine broke down". When they did manage to get the printing done, the colors were off and the quality was poor. All the machines necessary to complete our job mysteriously broke down on the same day. Their phone system doesn't work correctly. They lied about sending us an email to keep us informed about the status of our print job. NEVER AGAIN will we do business at this store. Thankfully, there are other options.

This is the worst Staples I have ever been to and I have been using staples stores from printing and office supplies in various parts of PA for a decade. They are massively understaffed as a result of what must be terrible management. There are always massive lines. They never have print orders done on time or correctly. The staff is rude and spiteful because there aren't enough people to handle the work load. They consistently over charge me and mis-price items in the store. Take the extra 10 minutes and just drive over to the Staples in Springfield like I will from now on.

I've been ordering work on this Staples for the last 5-6 years and the quality of their work is great; their turn around on projects is really good too. One of their strongest points is their prices which are really good as compared to other nation wide stores like FedEx. The only gripe I have about them is their phone service. That is why I have given them 3 stars overall. When you call it is a real pain and you had better prepare to be aggravated! When asking for a transfer to copy and print I'm normally kept on long holds, sometimes while waiting 3 or 4 minutes on the call someone may just hang back on you. And trust me you will never get a call back. I will tell you this, that is painful and it doesn't respect your time. I wish they would do something about this.

I had the best customer service at this this store today, I came in there with my 2 year old and immediately was greeting by an older gentlemen wanting to help me get a box. When he went to look for a free one for me another employee I think he was the manager offered me help too and helped me pick out the right size box to send. Every new person I talked to I had to explain what I was looking for, and every person that answered had no idea I had been on hold for anything, as if I had just called in. Laziness and unqualified people. You have lost my business and all the money I spend there will be taken to a competitor.

This was a very well kept staples compared to some of the other locations I have visited. However the one down side is that they never seem to have what I am looking for in stock. The copy center actually messed up on a lamination project and I didnt realize until I got home. I went back to speak to the Manager and he immediatly refunded the entire amount and since I had to order another copy of what I was laminating and then have it relaminated he then gave me a gift card so the relamination would be free also. I wasnt even going to ask for nearly that much to correct the problem, but he went way above and beyond what was necessary. I appreciated so much his kindness and he used my project as an object lesson for the entire copy center. I've never seen lines and the pricing seemed fair to me.

The store has a steady vibe to it, not having changed much for a decade or so. For me, it's a place to buy a few stationary items, not otherwise found in other stores, or to print a document or two. Otherwise, I feel that the store has somewhat fallen out of the trendy movements, although they do sell tablets, laptops, and other commodity hardware. The staff are eager to help but there are a few of them on the floor. Overall, Staples has fallen into a very specific niche in my life and will probably stay there... not great, not bad, just okay.

As much as I love the speed and convenience of buying office equipment online, sometimes you just need to have a conversation with someone who knows what they're talking about. I just bought an HP Officejet Pro 8600 all-in-one printer from Staples and my decision was made vastly easier by my conversation with Austin. Austin was able to tell me all of the pros and cons of each printer: which one sucks up printer ink the fastest, which one is returned to the store most often, which has the lowest cost per page, etc. He also pointed me to a very inexpensive no-questions-asked replacement plan if my printer ever breaks down. If everyone at Staples knows their office equipment like Austin, my equipment buying decision is, by default, Staples. Great customer service, Staples!

I struggled for years with the poor service over at the competition (who shall remain nameless but whose initials are OD) but the first time I shopped at Staples I was "sold" and have now been loyal for several years. Once I explained I got a sigh and dis-tasteful, okay I guess I will have to get someone from the office supplies section to assist you. Ive been in multiple Staples locations this morning, virtually no customers present, I am so sure that they can afford to lose the $1200's I have forecasted to spend on these folders. 9:49 a.m. 12/9/2011. The other two store agents were on there cellphones! When I said something, they said they thought I was with the lady ahead of me, offered me a bottle of water. Yea, well what about the guy behind me. Afterwards, searching for some office supplies, the guy who helped looked like he was in hurry to get out to lunch or away from me. I asked him where I could find so and so and he just told me "I'am not sure, somewhere alone the side wall?" and walked away. These store agents are very LAZY, RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL.
