Was here for a work related injury. Here on Saturday at 9 because that's when they opened.  I was anticipating a long wait since I didn't have an appointment. But after filling out some paper work, I was called in within 20 minutes. Doctor was kind and friendly. The only thing was he spoke a bit fast. I got the gist of it all and what I didn't get, I asked again and he didn't mind repeating himself. After that, I had a follow up appointment and a physical therapy appointment. Physical therapy was informative. She told me what she was doing and how my injury was caused. Will be seeing her three more times. Each time I was seen I was called in at an efficient time and everyone including the front desk staff was friendly.

I came here for a drug test and physical.  There was a mix of rude and friendly front desk staff and medical staff.  2 stars for the staff that were nice, understanding, and helpful, otherwise I would of given 1 star.  I would not come here again due the lack of organization, efficiency, and courtesy of this urgent care. The employees also seem to have communication issues with each other; they had trouble staying on the same page. If you must come here, I would recommend being stern.

The worst Doctor I've even met!!! Front desk is nice and friendly. The doctor only talked to me for one minute after the two hours waiting! The doctor is not nice at all!! He told me that he doesn't know and he can't help. I need to see other doctors. Never come to this urgent care again!

Okay, I see all the negative reviews, and I came in with low expectations, but... I came out happy and satisfied! I had a preemployment screening and was sent here to get a drug test and blood titer done. I came in, was greeted by the friendly receptionist, filled out some paper work, and was done with everything within 45 minutes. The medical assistants were very friendly and professional, and the facility is well kept and clean. My overall experience was great, and I loved that it was right by the Embarcadero bart/muni station.

2hour wait time sucks. Was sent here for pre-employment physical exam. The place was nice and somehow neat, restroom not so.The staff are okay, polite and helpful.Total time spent with the doctor 3-4minutes. She was in and out. I hope wait time would be like that too... TIME is precious, regardless of your status.

To the Doctors and staff at this Concentra office. Is it too much to ask for someone there to fill out my medical certification for my FMLA? Your office was asked on two separate occasions (5/11 and 5/25) to complete the medical certification for my family medical leave act (FMLA). The most recent request was printed out and hand delivered to your front office staff on Monday 5/25. An excerpt from the most recent request letter:"In order for your leave to be approved, we must receive a completed medical certification form from your physician. I have attached a copy of the form to this email. A copy of the form was also faxed to the Dr. on 5/11. Please have the physician complete and return the form as soon as possible. The form is due by 5/27."I phoned your office on three different occasions to find out the status of the form. Your staff assured me that they would have it filled out and faxed in. I received the following from my FMLA Leave Provider today Decision = Denied Decision Reason = Documentation for Leave not ReceivedApplicable Leave Plan(s): CA Family Rights Act - CFRA / FMLA The only reason why I came to this Concentra office is because my employer sent me. Your office seems to be understaffed. If you cant complete a patients medical certification then tell them in advance so that your patients can find another provider.

Staff is friendly but if you're in a rush and don't have an appointment you might want to find another place. Waited over an hour as a walk-in at 7am

I had to see a nurse practitioner while on a business trip. I went in on a Monday at 5 pm and told it would be a two hour wait. They said I could be seen immediately at 11 am the next day. I came in at 11 with the forms already filled in as instructed and was seen at 11:30 and out the door at 5 after 12. Good service from the initial person who took my vitals, the nurse practitioner and the administrator who forwarded my prescription over to the local pharmacy and handled my insurance card, receipt etc.

I had an appointment at 8:30 and no one else was being here besides me yet still took over an hour wait to be seen. The nurses are nice but the Doctor that I got assign elderly white gentlemen was rude.

DO NOT GO HERE! RUN AWAY! This is the worst medical place I've ever been. I broke the top of my foot and some toes. Was in waiting room for 2 hours, no ice and somehow " I got lost in the paperwork."Taken back to room. Waited 40Mins for Doctor She wanted X-rays, " stat!" Sure.Waited 30 mins to get X-rays. waiting for the dr to come back and read them. Still no ice. I'm so pissed.I would have done better at sf general. This place SUCKS! The doctor just came in and she apologized.Gave me a foot boot and some meds. Total time here, 4:25m

Came in here on a Saturday due to a badly sprained ankle. I had called ahead to let them know I was coming in and to ask if they were able to take xrays (yes, they can). Hobbled in and was shown to a room immediately. The doctor and nurse I saw were incredibly sweet and kind. I felt very well cared for- gentle touch, and in and out in an hour. They take most insurances. I hope I don't have to go back (don't want to be injured again) but I would be happy to see everyone there again. A+ care.

I had a 2:30p appt and it's almost 4p...still waiting to be seen. I don't think they get the concept of appointments here. I'll update this review after I'm treated.

I went back for my last follow up doctor APPOINTMENT and it took me 3 hours and 45 minutes!!! Their scheduling is so messed up, they were turning away walk-ins that day because of the back-log.  I just tried my best to keep calm although my blood pressure is shooting up. That was my final appointment with the doctor from Concentra and I just want it to get over with.  If I will have to continue going to Concentra, Im gonna die of a heart attack, in their waiting area, from frustration. Thank God that is the last time and never again. I spoke with all of my associates who went to Concentra before me, and they all have the exact same experiences. Loooong wait. In fairness, the nurses I met there were very nice.  It seems they care for their patients but of course their hands are tied. All they can do is ask you to wait and wait and wait and wait for a doctor to be available. Unfortunately, that can take more or less 3 hours!

My review is a 4 because of a few particularly awesome people who work there. Or it would be a 3.First. They are ALWAYS understaffed. Not the employees fault but be prepared to wait 2 hours. Even if you have an appointment. In addition to them treating Workmans comp patients they are also an urgent care clinic.I am currently being treated by Dr. Dixit- he is very nice and approachable. Easy to talk to.The Physical therapists are good- if not slightly over extended. There are 2 people at the desk who really stand out from the crowd.Diana is golden. She is helpful, upbeat, and really really nice.Kathy is also great. She is helpful, professional,  and makes everything easy. Because of these two- I feel that I'm not just another annoying workman's comp patient. If you can- develop a relationship with these two women and they will take great care of you!

This place is a bit of a zoo. I hobbled in here with a bum knee because it was the closest thing to me, but I'm wishing I had done my research ahead of time. The doctor herself (Dr. McDonough) was not bad, but the wait here is just ridiculous. How is it "urgent" care if your patients are waiting for 3+ hours to be seen? I was recommended for physical therapy, but I figured that if I tried to schedule it with Concentra, my 1-hour sessions would take half a day, so I opted for a different place.

Pretty awful place. Homeless people accidently being let in to use the restroom. MUNI operators from the cable cars doing the same. Staff and crew talking and moving like snails. The number of medical assistants = the number of patients, yet they can only get through 1 person through here per 40 mins.  Even on non-busy days, like during my follow-up, I was the 3rd person there during the morning for a 7:30 Appt.  It still took them 45 mins to get around to me. The one thing I notice is that the Dr. is entering all the information and getting their own charts/write-ups. This causes them to be slow. Someone should really apply some industrial engineering to this place and make it more efficient. But that would make too much sense for American medicine.

A summary of comments from the 7 most recent posts:"the lady on the phone was EXTREMELY rude""service front staff told us wait in 5mins ended up 3 hours wait..""The front staff have no idea what is going on in the back.""clueless and disrespectful staff""The front desk folks are not very friendly, accurate, nor helpful."I'm sure it goes on like this but I didn't continue reading.I can corroborate the experiences of these posters.  After expressing my frustration that I kept getting put on hold for 15 minutes at a time, and transferred to lines that simply rang and rang for 6 minutes before I gave up, Diana simply informed me that she was unable to have my questions answered over the phone.  Because she couldn't be bothered to walk to the back of the office and talk to someone, she forced me to travel from the East Bay to SF just to have some simple questions answered. It is unfortunate that one bad apple can ruin the reputation of the whole establishment.  I am sure that most of the people who work there are lovely and reliable people.

WOW! I just called to cancel an appointment and the lady on the phone was EXTREMELY rude. Couldn't spell my last name right, was asking for all kinds of information that was never given at the time of the appointment. Why would a social security number be provided at the time of making an appointment?! Glad I cancelled and NEVER came in!

I was here because I had an infection on my thumb. Got in around 9 am for a walk-in and the customer service attended to me right away and was very straight forward with what the process would be like and the estimated times for each step in the process. I got there before a bunch of people thankfully, I was aiming to get there earlier but that didn't happen. Anyways, I highly recommend going in early and beating the rush.Basically they told me an hour and a half wait and up to an hour for actually seeing the doctor and getting my prescription and insurance checked out and stuff. It was much faster than that, only 45 minute wait in the waiting room, and then I was brought into the doctor's examination room where I waited 10 minutes followed by 5 minutes with the doctor and then another 10 minute wait and then I was out. So it was less than an hour and a half which was much less than I expected. The doctor was really friendly and able to communicate to me well about how to take care of my finger and about the next steps. Also the lady, afterwards who handled the paperwork gave me good information as I am from Canada so I haven't been through the american healthcare services before. Overall, my experience was great. Clean and tidy office that felt decently spacious too.

Staff: 5 starsDr. Steven Kaminski: 0 stars. Refused to assess my eye for infection because he's "not an ophthalmologist," then just walked out of the room to yell at his assistant for not providing a vision test that I didn't need. He specializes in emergency medicine at an urgent care clinic; ruling out infection is a big part of his job. Does he turn away people with potential kidney infections cuz he's not a urologist? He never came back and avoided eye contact with me back at the reception desk, where they were kind enough to refund me.

Walked in at 4:45pm to get a physical. They quoted me 2 hours, from start to finish. I said ok and sat down to wait (I brought a book). Within 20 minutes I was being seen by a nurse. I walked out the door at 5:50pm, physical done and paperwork in hand. Overall a pretty painless experience - despite the horrible reviews on Yelp!

What an awful facility!  We arrived at 640 (they close at 7) after my wife sliced her hand making dinner. "The doctor want to go home," they said. "Don't worry, ucsf is close and you can find it on google maps."  That is a real commitment to health care. Stay away!

I waited two hours to see Dr. Kaminski for about 60 seconds. He was inching for the door after not diagnosing anything and just stating we are going to "treat the symptoms". I have hives all over my body and after explaining I was already taking Benadryl he prescribed me ...Benadryl. I had to ask him to prescribe me oral steroids which I only knew because that is what a dermatologist previously treated my hives with. The one star is for the billing department who initially rejected my insurance but then worked with my insurer after I called member services. Thank you! Front office staff was nice. Hopefully my first and last time visiting this urgent care center.

Oh my GOD. The elderly Asian doctor here needs to RETIRE. I was in town and woke up at 4 AM from excruciating eye pain. I thought that I had a corneal abrasion or that something was stuck in my eye because 7 hours later, it was still hurting. I came here (I am not from this area, was in town) and wanted to get it checked out/removed. The front desk lady was nice. It was Saturday morning, so I don't expect bright and cheery. The nurse that helped me was wonderful and sweet and was trying to get my helped asap. The doctor came in and proceeded to not only talk my ear off, but he first had me lay down to try to flip my eyelid in the most brutish way possible (WITHOUT GLOVES--I did not even know if he washed his hands :(.... ). Without a warning, he was pinching/grabbing/poking my eyelid in the most painful way. I think I lost about 10 eyelashes.... And then because the eyelid was so swollen and could not be flipped, he then just put some dye in my eye, looked at it under the light, and concluded it was not a corneal abrasion but a bacterial infection.... I had NO symptoms of mucous, pus, etc. He DID NOT even ask me, but started writing up a prescription for antiobiotics with a really shaky hand (really... please, retire.).I'm glad I got out of there quickly, and went to get normal eye drops to try to flush that thing out because the doctor could not. What a waste of my money and time. PLEASE RETIRE!

Don't go here. They're horrible. Rude, Short staffed, terrible facility. 1st thing they told me when I walked in was it'll be 4 hours until we can see you and we are short staffed. No remorse. Front desk lady was cold blooded. When you're sick the last thing you want is attitude.  I left and went to a Golden Gate Urgent Care and they were Phenomenal.

Equipment required for my physical not operational. Like every other professional occupation you check your equipment before the day starts. Operational checks. Do it before opening for business. If it does not work then start making phone calls. The best part is they actually started my physical with it seems no intention of actually completing it.My feeling is this is just some corporate facility. Getting people through as quickly as possible is likely the goal here. If you come here regularly it's probably because your employer - who is looking for a cheap solution to your medical issue - is sending you.Side note: You get subjected to trashy talk shows and info-mercials in the waiting areas, at what seems to me high volume. I mean c'mon.

As soon as you get in they tell you it would take couple of hours, which I think is great they are upfront about it. And of course this is much faster then emergency room. Also the staff is nice and helpful, and did a great job.The reason for the 2 star is that I had ankle injury and got X-RAY taken, but it took 24 hours to get the results from radiologist!!!!

This 'medical facility'  is a joke. The wait times are insane (even in the case of emergencies), the doctors are incompetent, uncaring and notoriously late (if they bother to show up at all). You'll be lucky if you get a necessary MRI within 3 months, they'll try to pump you full of drugs while ignoring the real problem (even if it's life-threatening) and send you to other dubious random out of town clinics for said MRI and surgical  procedures. The only good thing about this place is their physical therapy department (awesome staff!)  and the front desk staff which is swamped with dealing with the incompetency of upper management so I'm sympathetic. The owners Dr. Konce and his wife/manager Gabbie should be placed under extreme scrutiny for their questionable business practices. For worker's comp, request to go to your own doctor!!!

I mostly agree with Tanner B., but I entirely agree with David M.: This place is inadequate. The staff is slow, unfriendly, and generally incompetent. Don't even think of going here for anything. It's not URGENT care. I know of great URGENT CARE:Golden Gate Urgent Care2395 Lombard St, San Francisco, CA 94123(415) 796-2242But, I chose this place because it's in my medical insurance's (Anthem Blue Cross) network and close to my work. I thought I could go here to be seen, get a prescription, and drive to work. I might have just been a little late. But, I arrived about a half an hour after they opened, 7:30, on a Tuesday morning. There was only one person waiting, and then, someone arrived after me. I was called in second. All my vitals were taken and was waiting in a room. Then, I was told, they were waiting for the doctor to arrive at 8. I had to be at work at 8. If they'd told me earlier, then I would have left as soon as they told me, but I still left and drove to work. So, I was quite late, but fortunately, I was only there to TRY to be treated for an eye infection which I think was caused by my contact lens, so I just decided to wear my eyeglasses to let my eye heal and used an antibiotic ointment that I've been given before at the other urgent care place. But, I was hoping a doctor could have found out if there was any eye damage and if my ointment was enough or if not, be prescribed an other medication for my eye.

One hour in and out with a pretty full waiting room. Equipment was modern. Place was spotless. They took my insurance. Doc was friendly. So were the techs.I almost didn't come here due to the previous reviews. Glad that I ignored them. The ER wait would have been much longer.

Originally I came in for a chest pain that was worrying me. I gave my insurance information to the front desk associate and when I asked what my copay would be I was told, "oh no its okay, don't worry." My first mistake was not questioning this. I later received a $500 bill that was clearly never submitted to my insurance company. The staff was very friendly in taking my information and performing tests on me. When the doctor came into the room and saw me, I felt extremely dismissed. The doctor was more concerned with typing than actually listening to what I had to say. Even if he was able to make such a quick diagnosis, actually LISTENING to and UNDERSTANDING your patient's concerns is equally as important.I returned a second time for an unrelated reason. When I was about to be seen, the power went out (no fault of theirs) and I was advised that I would have to come back the next day to be seen. The doctor than stopped and said, "well I can write you a script for something if you want..?" How the hell am I supposed to ask for a prescription when I don't know what the hell is wrong with me!?? Seems like the doctors here have zero concern with their patients, and are only concerned with getting people in and out.never coming back here again, and neither should you.

I need urgent care should I go here? No But it's close to my house! Doesn't matter you could take the caltrain to the valley go to an urgent care there and come back before you even get your vitals taken. The staff is nice enough but they're either understaffed or mismanaged expect a wait of 2 hours. Next time I'm using one of those tele-docs

I'm writing this review specifically about the Physical Therapy department: They are amazing! Everything from the front desk to the therapy sessions is beyond satisfactory because they take the time to get to know you, they are very knowledgable and they are genuinely good people. Shout out to Melissa for giving me the tools to continue on the road to recovery!!

I ended up at Concentra yesterday after hurting my back at work. The company that handles Worker's Comp. claims from my employer was supposed to send my claim info via fax to Concentra prior to my arrival, but the fax was not there when I arrived. And even after requesting two more fax attempts, it had still not arrived. Jazzmina gave me her email address and that method finally worked. She also made sure I didn't have to get up and sit down too frequently while filling out paperwork while being checked in. After my paperwork was received, I waited no more than 30 minutes to see Dr. Carp. He was direct, quick, and reassuring. Plus, he made sure I started physical therapy that day, which I really appreciated as I was in pain and it helped loosen up my back a little. I was given two prescriptions that were filled on site and brought to me in physical therapy. That's good service! The physical therapy team, which is also located on site, was very kind and helpful. Melissa was my physical therapist and did a great job explaining everything to me. And Marvin booked my future appointments and chatted with me pleasantly until my ride arrived. A one stop shop for me and a great experience when I was in pain and needed help.

Office staff very friendly.  Javier, MA also friendly but it was hard to crack a smile with him.  Facility is very clean.  Drug screens seem to be priority.  I could hear other patients and staff talking in the hallways near my room (exam 2).  I had symptoms of your common cold mixed with flu-like symptoms.  I did not expect to be seen right away but it took 45 minutes for me to be seen by the PA-C for ten minutes.  I checked in at 11:26am and finally left at 12:28pm.  She was friendly but not worth the wait time and only seeing her for ten minutes.  A huge plus if you go in with your paperwork filled out.  Their forms are available on their website.I will not be returning unless I absolutely have no other options and nothing on my schedule for a few hours.

There are extremely mixed reports on when this place is open. It says on their phone that it's open saturday. It says on some websites it's open saturday and sunday. It says on the actual concentra website that it's open monday through friday. I went there on Saturday and they were locked up tight. Extremely pissed. I needed to get a drug test for a job which I  may very well not get because of their shoddiness.

I came here to see a provider with the urgent care center and would never go back.I arrived just after they opened for what I suspected (and later confirmed) was strep throat. There was no one waiting when I signed in so I was happy and thought I would not have to wait long. The front desk told me to expect an hour and a half total time there which was not ideal, but tolerable. The guy who was supposed to be entering my information in their system seemed more concerned with joking around with his coworkers than doing his job.I was taken back after about an hour to a room where a nurse saw me and said the doctor would be in in about 20 min. A half hour later she came back and said I should be next as he was in the room next to me. About 15 minutes later a different nurse came in to say the doctor was running really late and I would have wait another hour. I told her the front desk and other RN had said something different and she advised me they were incorrect.I asked if I could leave and go over to the Starbucks and come back in an hour and they said ok. However I saw there was a Zoom Care right next to Starbucks and was able to get in within 15 minutes,  where they diagnosed me, billed my insurance (they were much cheaper than urgent care) and had the needed prescription on site. I highly suggest staying away from this urgent care and crossing the street to Zoom Care!

My mom had a 3 PM appointment. She arrived 10 minutes early, and left work early for the sole purpose of this appointment. They left her waiting for over an hour with no reason or supplemental information as to why her appointment was not starting on time. They do not honor appointments and entertain walk-ins, so even those WITH an appointment are waiting and waiting for what seems to be hours. She has had multiple appointments here and it is always the same scenario. VERY bad health service here.

The people were great, but now I know to make an appt, even for urgent care. This place also does work physicals and drug screens, plus coming right before lunch is not a good idea. I was here for 3 hours for an allergic reaction to something. Thank goodness I wasn't having problems breathing.

The front desk staff was fairly rude and short in person and on the phone. I understand you are busy but please treat people with respect. I waited 3.5 hours before I saw a PA who was also somewhat rude and very abrupt like I was interrupting her day. The ma that took me into the room and he one that took my blood were both very kind and considerate. My employer chose this place. I would not come again or refer friends or family.

I was withholding judgement as long as I could, but my review request just popped up for yelp so here we go.-ahem-I went to Concentra Urgent Care on a Tuesday morning, right when they opened. I called ahead of time to see if I needed an appointment, to put my name down, or just show up. The lady was very cheery and I felt like if I just popped in then I would be seen. I was very sick, shallow breathing, painful breathing, sore everywhere, nausea, basically you name it, I felt it. So to me, this would be a flashing light of ILL patient. I got to the building, signed in, filled out all the highlighted areas that pretty much mark me as needed to be seen urgent. I brought the clipboard back up and was told I would need to wait about an hour because there were about 8 people in front of me for work drug screens and physcials. HOLD ON. I'm having chest pains and i'm being pushed aside for a DRUG TEST!? Is this, or is this not an URGENT CARE facility!?Luckily I really only had to wait 15 min before the nurse called me back. She asked me basic questions and took my vitals. She left the room and when she came back, I was dry heaving in the garbage, getting ready to faint on the floor because of my light headedness. The doctor came in, very stand offish and told me they could treat me. He asked me some more questions, one of the symptoms the nurse had written down I didn't have, nor had I said I did. the doctor left, and a bit later the nurse came back to take me for chest x rays. I was having a hard time walking because I was feeling faint and my body was in pain.X rays went fine, then back to the room. Another amount of time waiting for the doctor, then he came back and told me what I had. He didn't tell me any information about it, not how to treat it other than pain meds, nada. I asked him about how long my dry heaving would last. he asked me why I hadn't said that symptom on my form. I told him the nurse had walked in and I was over the garbage, do they not talk to each other? Are my progressing symptoms not being communicated? This made me question what he had diagnosed me with.Long story short, I question the process of medicine at this facility. I'm sure the staff is knowledgeable, but the lack of communication is very unsettling. Also, Urgent Care comes first. Not a drug screen. I will probably not come back to this center, if I ever need in the future, I will try another place.

I certainly won't be darkening their doorways again anytime soon. Wouldn't have come in the first place had it not been for a mandatory mask fitting and drug screening we are imposed upon not only to take yearly, but at our own expense. The payment part isn't within the control of the Concentra people, it only added an appropriate splash of annoyance to the overall experiences there. Three words to describe this Concentra, after three visits: Slow. Indifferent. Inept. There it is, Game. Set. Match. Much better options very nearby....

Nope. This place will make you wait all day for little to no results. They're inexperienced and don't take your needs seriously. Went here for a work related injury, recommended by the company I work for. Concentra didn't do anything for my injury but take a bad x-ray, when they brought me the results they said "it kinda looks broken" .... WOW. After waiting 3+ hours in just the exam room and letting them know several times I had to leave soon, I finally walked out. They didn't offer any supplies, prescriptions, or advice to help me heal. The only thing I really got from this place was a picture of a bad x-ray, and the heads up to my company that I can pass a drug test...(which I had to come back the next day to do). Huge waste of time and gas money. Never again.

I went to Concentra for physical and a drug screen for my captain's license. The doctor who did the physical was great, but that is where it ended.I got a call regarding my drug test a few days later.I called back, as they would not tell me anything over the phone and I needed them to send me the results so I could forward them onto the CG.It took two weeks of me calling 2-3 times a day for them to finally send the results to me.Their customer service sucks.

AVOID THIS PLACE BY ALL MEANS.From the first phone call this place was horrible.  I called to set an appointment and whoever answered the phone was hurried, rude, and hung up on me.  I called back a second time and was able to get the appointment after a lot of rude replies and she promptly hung up on me again after saying the time once.  I was in the middle of talking...I get there and as soon as you open the door to walk in they roll their eyes, and give snotty looks.  It was obvious that I was a pure annoyance, an obligation that distrubed their gossip session. After waiting several minutes at the desk one girl finally comes over and "checks me in" which includes paperwork being thrown at you, literally, and someone purely ignoring you.  The doctor that came in... wow.  He was a bit mousy and beyond rude.  He did not want to touch me and examine the injured area at all.  He was extremely dismissive and curt.  Checkout time was a blast.  It's interesting to see all of the staff completely ignoring you as they instead sit on the desks, with their backs to you, and ignore you.  They may glance over a few times.  But, the talking doesn't end.  I waited in the checkout area for almost 30 minutes.  Finally, a girl starts checking me out and then someone in the back office called her (a manager, could it be?!) to go back there so they could gossip some more (we could hear everything).  It was astonishing.  Believe me - avoid this place if you can.  My job sent me here and I've voiced my concerns.  No one else will go there from my job.  Terrible, terrible place.  Oh and the icing on the cake - I was the ONLY customer at the time....  My appointment took over 2 hours for something that could've taken 30 minutes.

Stay away from Concentra at Town Center in Hillsboro. I had an injury at work and they are our preferred vendor for work related injuries so that's where I went. Big mistake! I don't have a problem with the people or the service(other than the doctors). the receptionist and the nurses seemed adequate enough. My issue is with the care I received. I saw 2 different Drs. on two sepereate visits. I spent a total of 3 to 4 minutes with the Dr each time. Literally! neither of them gave me a thorough examination. During my second visit I pointed out that I had a large buldge on the left side of my left knee. he moved my leg around a little bit. nothing like how I have had my knee manipulated in the past. He then said "a little time and some PT and you'll be good" He then sent me back to work! I could barely stand! The kicker is that the next day I went to see my Dr. He spent over thirty minutes examining me. From head to toe even though I told him my knee was the issue. After a thorough examination he began to manipulate my knee. After just a few minutes he said that if he had to guess it was a rather severe tear of the lateral meniscus. He ordered an MRI to confirm. The MRI showed exactly what he thought. I am now acheduled to have surgery. From my experience the doctors at Concentra Urgent Care Town Center Locatiin are inept and unwilling to listen to the patient. It is quite apparent that they are on the side of workers comp insurance companies and clearly are not concerned about their patients best interests. I am now having to endure agonizing knee pain for ten days longer that I should have!! THANKS CONCENTRA!!!I will not return! Neither will my family, friends and employees if I can help it.....

checked in at noon...  it's 3:13 pm, still waiting...i'll let you guys know when i get called LOL!update:  it's 4:10pm, they are refusing to see me as a patient.I'm being asked to come back next time, or they're going to refund the copay.Staff are not aware of any protocols.  They're statements are consistently different from one another.    I guess i'd recommend going elsewhere....update after 2 weeks later:  i received an EOB from my insurance.  Apparently Concentra (even tho I didn't get to see a doctor) billed my insurance.  This is a fraud.  I have called my insurance company to investigate.  They will be collecting the money after verifying. Got here at 7:08...they opened at 7am. Signed in at 7:10. Okay. They have new system I finally got checked in at 7:45. It's 7:50 and I still don't have my insurance card or ID back. Finally went through the door at 7:51. They had to fill out the paperwork by hand. My insurance company had better get billed correctly. Not your normal urgent care visit. Shy, less experienced someone/med aid who asked a health history form question by question. Doc came in. Went over questions again. Medical aid person knocked 3 min later and interrupted us. I was never given an opening to speak in full sentences. Had to butt in. Talked through me and down to me. After waiting for prescriptions forever the aid comes in and tells me I'm done and can go. I still had questions for doctor...was expecting to see him again. Got put back in room. Talked to doctor, he went to go check on med interactions for me as I was pretty sure I couldn't take it and wanted to check. Waiting. Another woman came to tell me I'm all set. Asked if she had my answer and she just looked at me--had no idea I was waiting for the doctor. Said she would go check. The doctor informed me that there was NO interaction. Told me to wait and a nurse will discharge me. Told him they know I'm done as they've tried to discharge me twice already. He led me down the hall and ask for me to be discharged. I won't be coming back. Felt like a waste of time. Mostly waiting for the check in system to work.AND, actually there IS an interaction between the medicines. Google shows the interaction, my pharmacist told me about it, as did my primary care, and the nurse hotline on the back of my insurance card.

Walked in for Uber physical and drug screening at 930am Friday. In and out in about 1hr. Reception staff was efficient and got me checked in with a smile. Medical Assistant (male)..exact same. Dr. Smith who did my physician was a hoot. Funny and quick...exactly what I needed for my city of houston inducted BS screening. Would I come here if I was dying? Maybe not. Would I come here for minor urgent care issues in the future? Without a doubt, yes.

The. Worst. Ever. You show up 10 min before your appointment they say we will have you back in 5 to 10 minutes. 30 minutes later they call you back. After asking specifically if your doctor is working that day and they assure you he is you find out that in fact he is not working today. Concentra loves to waste my time. If work didn't force me to go here I would stay far away.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars!! I went in to this clinic the other day because my normal dr could not see me and I left with no answers. Dr. Smith did not even talk to me about the results of the tests I had done and didn't talk to me about the antibiotic shot they gave me. He came in once to evaluate me and then never came back into my room and he never told me what he thought was going on. I had two X-rays done and he didn't even talk to me about what he saw in them. I was very disappointed with how I was treated by him. He honestly treated me like I was just some drug seeker looking to get pain killers or something. I would not recommend coming here at all and I will never be coming back!! Worst visit ever and a waste of time and money. The nurses and X-ray tech were both nice though.

I had to get a biometric screening for my company's wellness program in order to receive discounted medical insurance in the next calendar year.  Most years I wouldn't bother because these things always turn into a hassle, but it's been a hard year for my company, so this might be all we get in the way of raises in 2015 so I decided to suck it up and go through with it.  I called on a Tuesday to schedule an appointment at this location, and they told me they were out of kits but should receive more Wednesday or Thursday at the latest.  I went when they opened on Friday, and when I walked in, they told me they still didn't have any kits.  I must have been visibly upset since I had to take the morning off of work to get this done, and the staff collectively begged to help me find a solution including driving to I-10 and Dairy Ashford at rush hour to get a kit to bring back to me at this clinic.  I opted to go to another location that was on my way to work, and the Post Oak office called ahead and asked them to take me as a "rush" and faxed my information ahead.  In summary, I didn't receive medical treatment at this location, but the people at this clinic seem really great and patient-focused.  Although I was disappointed that they didn't have the kits when they said they would have them, they did bend over backwards to make sure I had a solution.  I'd go back.

I'd been so sick for almost two weeks with  what I thought was the stomach flu. I paid a couple of visits to my regular doctor, he did nothing but prescribe medicine for nausea. Finally, I decided I had had enough, after losing 10 pounds in two weeks and missing three days at work I went to this clinic as the last resource last Monday. The staff was really nice. I'm sure they could tell from my face the level of despair I was in. Immediately, they put me on a wheel chair, offered me bottle water and proceeded to call the doctor.  Next thing,  they gave me an IV while waiting for the doctor. The doctor came and asked a couple of questions and immediately told me I did not have the stomach flu but an stomach infection. Got blood tested, prescribed medicine and within the hour they sent me home. Not to mention, the medicine was instant recovery, I was able to eat and finally after two weeks observed some colors on my face. $75 bucks with insurance though! The bad:Opens till 5:30 p.m.Closed on Sunday, hence the four stars and not five.

I did not have a bad experience. I called my insurance company to get pre-approval bc I hurt my foot in a fall and I wanted x-rays. I didn't think that I'd get into see my regular doctor who I like a lot. So, I asked about urgent care. They told me that Concentra happens to be owned by Humana, which is who my insurance is with, and I'd have to pay a $60 copay but x-rays are covered. I went in first thing, as a walk in. I was seen in about 30 by a nurse and in about 90 minutes by a PA. The x-rays were taken and reviewed right away. Nothing was broken. I was out in under 3 hours. If I had gone to an ER, I would still be waiting to see some one at the 3 hour mark and I would've probably paid $1,000. Everyone was nice and professional. The rooms were clean and organized.

My husband saw a Concentra doctor in the evening, and by morning he was having an extreme reaction to the prescription he had been given (dizziness and vomiting). I called the clinic to find out what to do for a reaction to meds he had been given the night before, and was told "Everyone in the back is busy, but someone will call you in about an hour." Two hours later, I called back, and was told by the same person that "There are only two MA's here, and they're extremely busy. They'll call you back when the get the chance." She never asked what the reaction was, or what medication he had been given. I have enough sense to have gone to the ER if it had been a deadly reaction, but THEY DIDN'T EVEN ASK.Seriously, people -- Someone could DIE because of the incompetence of the people at this so-called "medical center." My mother went in presenting with chills and fever and nausea, having recently had a serious UTI.  She waited 2 hours to see a doctor who said she was fine, who did not want to do a urine or blood test but sent her home.  Two days later, she is being hospitalized for a blood infection from her kidney infection, which would have been totally preventable if she had been tested and prescribed antibiotics in a timely manner.  This is a dangerously understaffed and incompetent clinic.

I understand it's the weekend and you don't have many options, but pick a different option than Concentra. I wish I had gone to Yelp before I made this mistake today. Here is my story which, like most others on this page, suggests there must be a better option. I have a bunion on my left big toe joint and it occasionally gets inflamed. The doctor typically prescribes a round of steroids in the form of a predisone blister pack which starts with a 24 - 30 mg dose (six tabs) and ramps down the dosage during each of the six day round. That stuff works, and I am usually walking normally within a few hours.I came in today because my foot was hurting and my doctor is closed on Saturday. I would normally tough it out to avoid urgent care, but my daughter's birthday is tomorrow and I wanted to make sure I was able to get around normally for our family's celebration. I told the doctor exactly what was going on and what is normally prescribed, multiple times. Dr Palm decided he wanted to give me a steroid shot in addition to the oral steroid prescription. I told him the oral steroids work fine, but he said "I went to an extra week of training to learn how to do injections so we are going to do an injection." I couldn't tell if he was joking.  That should have been a red flag, but I let him do it for some reason. It hurt badly at first but it started to get numb fairly quickly because he put lidocaine in the shot.  He jammed the needle directly into the bone spur in multiple places.  It was painful, but it did feel better when he was done, because it was numb.  They said my insurance indicated no need for payment and I was good to go. I should have asked for an itemized bill anyway.  I have no idea how much I will get a bill for yet, but I'm certain it is more than if they just wrote me a prescription for prednisone. I'm feeling pretty naive right now.A couple minutes after getting in my car and starting to drive home, the numbness started to wear off and my joint started to hurt more and more every minute. By the time I got home, it hurt far more than it did when I went to the clinic.  For at least an hour or two I could think of nothing else.  It has been six hours since I left the clinic and the pain is not as bad as it was, but it is still worse than before I went in even after taking a dose of oral steroid.  I am pretty sure he bruised my joint by jamming the needle into the bone spur.   I certainly looks worse than before. He also didn't want to prescribe me the same prednisone blister pack everyone else has for this same condition. Instead he prescribed me ten 20 mg methylprednisolone tablets.  By comparison, the blister pack contains 4 or 5 mg tablets and you disperse you dosages throughout your day.  There is no good way to taper off of the tablets he prescribed or disperse them through your day because they are a high dosage.  Not sure why, but he would not listen to me.I feel like I was taken.  I feel that he was going to order a procedure that he could bill for unless I protested profusely.  Even if that is the case, it would be more effective to do so if the procedure was actually helpful. Fortunately for you, the reader, his tactics backfired this time so I am pissed enough to warn you.  I will never be so naive again.  Take control of you heathcare!  Do not let the doctor push you around! If you know an inexpensive, reasonable treatment that has worked for you in the past, do not try new things with an urgent care provider.  If they suggest billable procedures that you feel my be unnecessary you have the right to say no.  Save experimentation for your REAL doctor who knows your history and will probably only suggest something new if previous methods are no longer effective.  If you must go to urgent care, please do not go here.  If you are stuck in the waiting room right now, get up and leave or make sure Dr Palm is not the guy you see. Good luck.Josh H., North Austin

I haven't been here since March of 2014, but because of the company's persistence in trying to get more money from me after completely lying, I felt compelled to write a shiny one star review.First of all, I want to get the positives out, because there are a select few. The staff here is very friendly and willing to help with pretty much anything when you're face-to-face. The doctors are fairly helpful and thorough (I came here so much in the beginning of the year that I managed to meet every single one of them because I was so sick so often.)However, there is definitely a price to pay when it comes to getting to these nice people. First of all, the wait times are insanely long. INSANELY LONG. Seriously, if you're really ill, you probably won't have the endurance to sit for the 2+ hours in the ice-cold lobby to wait to be seen. Triage is not performed to any extent, as people are only seen on a first come first serve basis. This means that even if you're puking your guts out and can barely stay conscious, you will still have to wait behind the guy getting a urine test for his new job.Beyond the limited insurance options as well, the worst part about this company is their damnable billing department. To provide some background, I had been to this location at least 4 times (I'm pretty sure more than that) in less than 3 months because I wasn't tolerating my recent move to Austin very well. I had sinus infections, bronchitis, and all kinds of issues pretty consistently until I moved out of Texas in May. The problem begins when the staff will tell you after a visit, if the doctor requests a follow-up, that "you must come back within 10 days for the follow-up visit, or else you have to pay again". I confirmed with more than one person more than one time that I could come back for a scheduled follow-up at no charge once when I had an infection that we didn't want to treat with antibiotics unless it got worse. I returned for my follow-up something like 5 or 6 days later, still completely sick, got my prescriptions, and checked out. I was, AGAIN, told I didn't have to pay.Now we are 8 months later, and for the last month and a half, I have suddenly been receiving letters from Concentra DEMANDING that I owe them $45 and that it's so far past due that they will be sending my account to collections if I don't pay it. They INSIST that the payment was due when I came for the follow-up visit, and act like I'm crazy for thinking that I wouldn't have had to pay my co-pay at that time. TWO QUESTIONS FOR YOU, CONCENTRA: If I owed you a co-pay at that time, WHY DID MULTIPLE PEOPLE CONFIRM MULTIPLE TIMES THAT I DIDN'T HAVE TO PAY, INCLUDING THE DAY I WAS THERE AND CHECKED OUT? And the other question, HOW DOES IT FEEL TO CHEAT PEOPLE? Must be pretty damn good for you to stalk someone across the country for nearly a year to extort them for $45.

Literally the WORST experience of my life. Very unprofessional, untimely & unknowledgeable staff. I went for a prescreening drug test for a job. The woman doing my follicle test was SEVERELY unprofessional. I had a section of my natural hair left out for her to sample since my hair was in a braided style. She refused to sample available hair, went into the lobby area & spoke loudly w the other employees saying "HER HAIR IS FAKE." I completely took down my hairstyle & came back the next day for the test. At the end, she asked me to rate my experience. I gave it a poor rating & looked at me very angrily & asked why. I felt like the evaluation should've been private, but she was trying to intimidate me. Not to mention that I called her boss & he was always "on lunch break" & never called back.

Let me start by saying, I'm a health care professional, and I would not go here.I came here for a company mandated tuberculosis screening test.  Waited over an hour for a procedure that takes about 13 seconds to administer.  Came back two days later to have the test read and waited over an hour again and then asked how long it would be.  They said "Oh, I think we forgot about you."I lost two hours of my life here.  I would have paid for the test elsewhere to have gotten them back.

Not only did they DENY me once ( which btw if yoou look on their website they mention that they will NEVER deny you) the doctor will say lets consider an MRI and an XRAY and then after WEEEEEEEEEKKKKKSSSS of saying um lets give it another 10 days , and another 10 days, another two weeks. when i straight ouot asked for it not only did he (doctor) make me sound crazy he denied having said that. background: first concentra doctor said an mri might be a good idea - i left that location bc a nurse decided to look into my medical record for my phone number to text me. this second doctor also mentioned mri, my physical therapist mentions an mri everyday. for some god foorsaken reason not only does he NOT read my physical therapist notes UNTIL i raise all hell (and he requests them as if my therapist hadnt sent them to him already 5 times) he is denying me the test he initially said i should have. a test which my therapist on her own strongly thinks i should have. So here i am suffering and seeing if i can find another doctor. Just don't go here. find someplace else.

Horrible service, depending on one of the many people you see - we saw three different sets of doctors and nurses who all gave different advice every visit.Depending on who you talk to, you will receive conflicting advice for something as simple as outpatient stitches. The first doctor said to put bacitracin on the wound and to replace the bandage daily, giving us several packets of the gel.Upon the final visit, that doctor said the wound was not as healed as it should be because "we put on too much ointment." The nurse, who was present during the first visit, then informs is that we were only supposed to put it on on the first day and ever again for the following week. Unbelievable.I cannot wait to get a proper PCP and never deal with this urgent care b.s. ever again.

I went here for an employer mandated hearing exam and the wait was horrible. 90+ minutes for a test that takes less than 10 minutes and requires no doctor.I had already filled out the paperwork and they promptly ignored every request that my employer's paperwork requested. The exam itself was about 6 minutes long. After the exam they put me into a patient room for 25+ minutes before simply telling me I could leave. Took my step-daughter here because she was really sick and needed attention at 8pm at night.  Even though it was very close to closing time, the staff were friendly enough, navigated the Tricare confusion, and the Physician's Assistant on staff took good care of her.  He was even amusing.  In the end, it was nothing more than throwing antibiotics at the problem and waiting for it to go away.  But isn't that about 3/4 of what we pay doctors for, anyway? This place takes Tricare and isn't ridiculously rude.  That's impressive all on its own.  If you have Tricare and can't find a doctor, I definitely suggest Concentra, or at least this location.

The level of incompetence at this place is through the roof. The doctors are low class and cheap. They do not know how to read an xray or have the ability to prescribe pain medicine for broken bones. I had to hop around on one foot until someone finally found me a wheel chair. They did not put me in a splint for my broken ankle instead they put me in a heavy boot and told me not to walk in it. The doctor laughed at me when I told him my pain level and said that I was exaggerating. He came into the office sat down and hit my foot with his chair and told me to move back so it won't happen again. These undercompetent care provideos treat us like sheep and are only good for drug screening.

Dr Riggs was super nice. PA (blonde lady) was rude and needs some training in human factors, bedside manners and maybe learn to keep her attitude in check no matter what the circumstance. They also need to teach the medical assistants that they need to clean the rooms (including sterilization!!!!) prior to bringing patients back and it's a part of healthcare laws federal and state. See CDC Guideline for Disinfection and Sterilization in Healthcare Facilities if you don't know. Every time I HAD to come (got minor injury at work) the table paper had not even been changed! Butt print every time! Last one which caused me to write this, there was not only the butt print, but gauze, a tourniquet, and whatever else she tried to hurry and keep me from seeing before telling me to have a seat. Which of course I said, after you at least change the table paper and I changed it myself. Then after she left, I sprayed the table I was to sit on with the germicidal disinfectant. Doesn't take but a second people and the prevention of spreading germs and disease is ALL a part of healthcare! If your in the industry, that's part of the beast, disinfect, disinfect, disinfect!! Should be reported. And to the Doc, go somewhere else, this place is disgraceful. You don't want to be associated with that.

My Experience with Concentra Urgent Care - Stay Away. Unfair billing practice along with poor service. Once the billing error was made on my bill it is impossible to get resolved. They keep sending me a bill which I paid in full at time of service. Charged $315 for a standard office visit which I waited for 1.5 hours in the waiting room then another 30 minutes in the exam room. The doctor took less than 2 minutes for the exam. Concentra Inc. The absolutely WORST place to go. It is a madhouse of youngsters. Physical Therapy, the tech was so buy watching a movie on the TV screen that he didn't even pay attention to me. Took over an hour for a 30min appt. just for that. Do not go to this location. X-ray techs were not any better. A couple of kids playing with an X-ray machine. Shot the X-rays way too hot for the Dr. to read. Avoid if at all possible.

Had to come here once a week for a workers comp injury for a period of 3 months. Dr Ice is a good physician and will listen to what you have to say, the only downside is that some of the EMT's who support him are rude, and wait times are long.

Went in, from work, with a large deep gash on my hand. They quickly (5-10 minutes) took me back to a room. The nurse took one look and moved me to another room. She cleaned out the cut and notified the doctor. The doctor came in (about 5 minutes), prepared the area and put in eleven stitched. He was very skilled and personable, talked and kept my mind off the procedure. Before giving me a RX he asked if I was allergic to any meds (Yes). Asked my wife to call our doctor to be certain which antibiotic I could take. Made an appointment for me to return on Saturday to make sure everything looked good. From check in to check out, we were probably there only two hours.

I was injured at work..1st time at this location, have been to two other locations..it seems they determine wait time based on severity of injury(or injuries, at least, for me it was..worker's compensation is responsible for it and I have no complaints at all..actually, I waited longer in line at the grocery store,, AFTER being at the clinic..it could have been a little faster, but they were thorough at the Stemmons location and my injuries were originally a severely separated shoulder, along with a twice-broken arm..I spent three days in the hospital before Concentra was even involved..

UPDATE: Concentra has now submitted the WRONG REFERRAL three separate times, which has delayed my treatment by more than 2 months. I would advise going ANYWHERE but Concentra. I've been coming to this Concentra for a workers comp injury for the past two months. I always set an appointment and it never fails that it takes 45 minutes past my scheduled appointment for them to even call me to the back. It generally takes another 45 minutes after that to see the doctor. After the appointment is done, I end up waiting another 30 minutes to get my paperwork. In 2 hours, I only average about 10 minutes of interaction with any of the staff. Don't even bother making an appointment. You'll have better luck at Care Now.

My Experience with Concentra-Stay Away. Unfair billing practice. Once the error is made on the bill it is impossible to get resolved. The lady at the front desk told me the max amount they can charge is $120 which I payed prior to seeing the doctor. My Insurance is a high deductible HSA so I pay out of my own pocket. Once I paid I waited for 1.5 hours then another 30 minutes in exam room. The waiting room was not busy, maybe 5-6 persons. The doctors examination took less than 1 minute for ear infection. I was shocked when I received a bill in the mail after already paying them at the office. Concentra's billing department charged my insurance $315 for a standard office visit(code 99204). I made several phone calls to the urgent care office, Concentra's billing department and my insurance company to resolve this issue, all of them pointing fingers at each other and stating there is nothing they can do. Hence, get a price for service prior to service being rendered, which is what I did. The reason I asked for cost of service was so I don't get over charged and so I can have the option of going somewhere else. I DO NOT recommend going to any of Concentra's urgent care.

Very friendly staff, but, 1.5 hours to see the doc, even with a 930 appointment. Yes they did what they needed to do, but how on earth do you get to be 1.5 hours behind schedule by 930am? Also, blasting "first 48 hours murder investigation" on the two TVs probably isn't the best channel to have on in a waiting area.

When I first got there, the staff was unfocused and seemed more preoccupied with their personal conversations than with helping me. I waited in the examination room for a long time before they asked to do a drug test and even then the administrator was rude and wouldn't even look at me while she did it. However, the medical assistant who first took my info and the doctor who assisted me later were both very attentive and professional. My need for a doctor's note was met with expedience and understanding, however I probably wont visit this UrgentCare again in the future.

Most people who know me describe me as patient and amiable. However, I feel compelled to share that this institution has been one of the worst experiences in my life. They had absolutely no idea where to purchase the items THEY require and were extremely unhelpful in almost everything. In terms of customer service, they didn't even extend basic courtesies like eye contact and after giving me a ridiculous bill for a 5 minute encounter, they did not even have CHANGE for a five dollar bill. I sincerely hope that my experience is not the same as others but judging from the room, I'm afraid it is. Save yourself the pain and visit a different Concentra even if it means travelling further away. Peace out. ✌️

Came in to have my wife looked at for a work injury to her head. White, older "doctor" Coy Foster insisted that she must be alone in the room without me aiding her. We asked him "why that is", and he replied "that's how I do things, but if YOU people insist, you can stay", as he shook his head and hands, walking out of the room mid sentence. The "doctor" was noticably angry throughout the "exam", and seemed to push us through as fast as possible. His creepy attitude towards others being present during the exam seem to point towards malpractice or chester behaviors. It definitely threw up red flags about his practice. Terrible etiquette from a "professional" that's suppose to help others. Go Somewhere Else or expect piss-poor care!!

I haven't eaten because of the physical, need to use the toilet but not sure if they need urine! They seemed to have plenty of staffing. Recap.....I was finally seen and then had the hair analysis left the office and 2 hours later I was called to come back! I came back and signed in at 4:30 and didn't leave until the doors closed. Mostly all the staff was unprofessional especially Dr. Powell who stated to me that she was tired and ready to go! ...Wow,and I wasn't? I would have to say this particular location has declined drastically in the past two years-- my recent experience took 4 hours with only 5 of us in the waiting area, the doctor wasn't really sure what I had and gave me a steroid shot, and after reviewing online what he thought I might have-- all of the advice he gave me was incorrect (if I had what he suggested I would have been highly contagious). I was forced to get a second opinion and thankfully I did because it was an allergic reaction, not a contagious virus. The staff was kind, but the rooms were dirty (literally-- they had to clean it when we walked into it) and it just seemed off.

Being Saturday there was no way to see my primary care physician and my issue, an infection, was not serious enough for an emergency room. With out-of-town travel on Monday and Christmas on Tuesday I felt I could not wait until Wednesday or Thursday to see my regular doctor but needed to get started with some antibiotics. Concentra was a great option for me. I got in quickly enough, the staff was very friendly, and I got the care I needed. While they are not an alternative to a hospital emergency room, I feel very comfortable returning there for issues requiring quick attention that are not life threatening.

Avoid this walk in clinic at all costs. Only go here if you have an appointment for pre-employment drug screen. Don't come here by choice. I was charged 312 dollars for a 5-10 minute office visit. All they did was take my blood pressure and visually diagnosed my symptom as an infection. Then told me to see a Doctor! 312 dollars for medical advise to seek treatment. To make this bill even more outrageous, they charge 92.00 for a DOT physical and 205.00 for an immigration physical. Both if which are much more time consuming.

Went in for a pre-employment urine drug screen. When I did not produce enough urine on my first try, I was told I had three hours to produce enough urine. I was offered apple juice, orange juice or bottled water while I waited to try again. I took apple juice, but proceeded to refill the bottle with water once I finished the juice. Two hours later, after 10 ounces of apple juice and 50 ounces of water I hoped I would urinate enough for their test. Three days later I get a call saying that while I passed the drug test, my urine was too dilute and I would need to repeat the test. Why did no one at Concentra tell me that drinking all that water would make my specimen unacceptable? Now I need to waste my time to go in again. Please Concentra, retrain your staff to prevent further error and frustration for all involved (employer, employee, your own staff members, outside labs, etc)

Go somewhere else! We called ahead and they told us 20 minute wait time, then we got there and they said I should be in and out in an hour to an hour and a half. After waiting for 80 minutes, I was finally put in a room where I am still waiting after another 45 minutes. I'm going to be late to something and really wished I had gone elsewhere. It's a joke, people doing paperwork are friendly, I had went in with a very bad sickness, As 3 of my family members had bronchitis nuemonia and sinus infections so I could have any of those because I was with them a few days prior. I had to wait about 1.5 hours which isn't the worst part, I get taken back and I see a doctor who does a check up on me, tells me I have a "common cold" and "it's that time of year" basically with the tone of voice she had it was like she was telling me to suck it up. 1st off I know this was not just a common cold I have had many colds in my lifetime, yes maybe I have one but I've got something else with it which is making it dreadful. Then the doctor proceeded to tell me "I'm going to prescribe you antibiotics, but don't take them." Now does that make any sense at all?! No. I ended up taking the antibiotics anyway and they are slowly helping me get better, I will never go here again.

After reading the negative reviews, I was hesitant to go to this location. However, I didn't have a choice because my employer sent me here for some preliminary tests. The front desk staff was very helpful and nice. They were not rude at all! The waiting room was pretty empty (only two other people waiting) so I couldn't even finish my paperwork before the nurse called me to start tests. The nurse was so nice and she was easy to relate to. The doctor was a little short (could tell she was in a hurry), but still nice. The physical therapy department was nice. The one was a little more professional and serious than the other woman working but neither one were rude in anyway. The worst part about the visit was the 15-20 minutes I had to wait for the doctor to see me. Overall, good experience!

Ok I received Concentra's paperwork yesterday, now I think I see their angle on insisting I get a sleep study. The casually included a form for Sleep Health Centers in their generic forms printed on the same bad printer.I wonder how they are incahoots with Concentra? I wonder if the Sleep Health Centers are owned by the same faceless corporation as Concentra? Or if they're just partners? In an event if I can help it I won't be going there. Maybe I am making a mountain out of a molehill here, but it's bad timing and bad taste to include the sales form. Not only is Dr. Richard Weiner incompetent, obviously he's unscrupulous in trying to get patients for the Sleep Health Centers. I wouldn't recommend him to take my kids temperature, let alone give him the responsibility of a DOT physical again, I know writing this may decrease my chances of passing , he's already proven to be unethical and incompetent . So please, even if you company has an exclusive contract with Concentra DO NOT GO TO THE NORTHWEST FACILITY, you'll be sorry.

I am writing this out of deep disappointment of the Concentra Urgent Care. I went there today with an abscess that needed to be removed. The Doctor I saw (cannot remember her name--wish I could!) said that the procedure to remove it required 2 people and that, because she was the only one working, she could not do the procedure. After paying my co-payment for absolutely nothing, she sent me over to the Emergency Room. I explained all of this to the ER doctor who laughed and said that he was going to do the procedure by himself (which he did) and he did not understand why she would send me away. While I’m pleased with the care I was provided by the South Shore Aurora Health Care Emergency Services, I’m upset that I was not treated by Concentra Urgent Care for an unsound reason and then was charged for the visit! This has surely left me with no confidence in their services. I believe that I was cheated.

I went in there with a work related chest injury, with my workers comp insurance paying for the visit and treatment. The doctor I saw diagnosed me with costochondritis and told me that it was not work related, and she could not treat me for it because of that. While her diagnosis seems legit, saying it's not work related is patently false. Costochondritis develops from heavy lifting and breathing -- both of which I do in my occupation. So now I'm left screwed out of getting any help. She was kind enough to give me a list of free clinics, all of which are only open one day a month on a weekend. So here's hoping I can find one of those to see me and be kind enough to give me a prescription for $20 worth of prednisone, which is needed to fix this issue entirely, and what the doctor should have done to begin with.

I got there at 4:54...I didn't even get a room until 5: 40 and then I didn't even see the doctor until after 6. Then, I had to wait for then to send in someone to do a culture (who didn't know how to do a culture), hell the girl didn't know how to separate a script order to fax it! The only person that had any clue there was Chiquita. Seriously though, the dude that took me back to a room and took my blood pressure, never took my temperature and asked me if I had a fever... Then they let the workers fill out your symptoms/ medical history and dude checked hypertension... I never said hypertension he just clicked it...never clicked diabetes or cancer. But I digress the doctor himself is the worst person here. He has a condescending attitude, doesn't know how to use the system and was the only reason my visit to over two-hours!!! Got there at 4:54 Did not leave until 6:56!!! What the Fuzzy People! I came in since I had a very bad headache and cold symptoms. I could not get in to see my own doctor. My husband had to drive me since I felt too sick to drive. I waited about 45 minutes to be seen. That is not so bad. The person who started to check me introduced herself as a PA. I asked what that was and they said that is a Physician's Assistant. I asked if the doctor was going to duplicate the tests and I was informed I was not going to be seen by a doctor. I came to the clinic to see a doctor, not an assistant. The manager of the facility came over and told me that a Physician's Assistant is "exactly the same as a doctor". I asked if they went to the same medical school and he said yes. He said the PA goes through exactly the same training as a doctor except they don't do a residency. I looked that up when I returned home and it is not true. A PA's training is about two years, much less than a doctor's. I asked why I was not told I would not be seen by a doctor and he said that is not their policy. I said they should inform all of their patients that they will not see a doctor and he said "I am not going to discuss our policies with you." He said we could wait until the doctor came back for lunch or just leave. He refunded the co-pay we had been asked to pay in advance and left. While we were waiting for our refund, the PA walked by and said to us: "Like a PA cannot treat a cold!". I was feeling terrible and I felt I deserved to be seen by a doctor.

Because one of the symptoms my wife told/pointed out to the "PA" was called "NOTHING", when she got to the ER she didn't feel it was important to inform them of it. After a day in the ER and no diagnoses on what was wrong with her, she went home. Still sick and in pain! This was a Thursday, by Monday she was so much worse we finally went to a 3rd place and she was diagnosed in 2 seconds once she told/pointed out the symptom she told the "PA" at Concentra! I found the only male staff of the group (Cody) to be professional, patient and helpful with filling out the forms and answering my questions. As always I was nervous when taking a physical exam (i'm just a bit over weight) but once i was in the room and I saw how polite, professional and sexy my nurse Marissa was I forgot about being nervous and enjoyed our conversation as it put me at ease. I've been a patient here twice because of work injury and the staff were very sensitive to my needs and were able to get me in/ out quickly so I could get home and recover, especially the second time I had to visit. After being hurt, getting sent to a clinic that no longer existed, then spending two hours in traffic to get to this location (because it's nearest where I live) they were apologetic, understanding, and able to get me treated and released. I really appreciated it. Thank you again!

I'm a reoccurring patient here and was married not long ago because it wasn't changed on my insurance card the lady at the desk told me I couldn't be seen. After calling Henry Ford about the situation they said it wouldn't be a problem so why was it a problem for you guys. First thing in the morning I'm calling the BBB this place needs to be closed down they have to many terrible reviews

This place is a joke. They do not honor appointment times. I had an eight am appointment. I walked in a few minutes before eight and signed in. At that time I told them I had an 8 am appointment. They took every single person there before me back before they took me. Walks in should come after appointments. They don't care, they have an oh well attitude..

I wish it went like other reviews I read online. Tonight I called at 10:10 PM. I asked if Concentra took Blue Care network and the woman on the phone said yes. I asked if they could do a strep test she said yes. I took time to drive over with my daughter there. The guy at the counter had me fill out paperwork after he looked at my insurance. I sat around for 30 minutes after about 15 minutes a woman came out and said she did not know if my daughter could be seen. She took my paperwork and it sat on the shelf another 15 Minutes. 10:50 came up and the woman said I need the insurance cards (I offered them with the paperwork 15 minutes before) she said we don't take either insurance companies I have. She said I could pay out of pocket at a minimum of $130.00. I declined tomorrow I will go to Henry Ford 4 miles away a real urgent care. This is where I would have gone if it wasn't after 10 PM. I'm sure it will be wort the wait.

What a joke! I've been going to Concentras for years and heard about this one. I only needed a simple drug screen and it took an hour and a half! They said it was because of one of the toilets were down. The plumber actually came in while I was there. They called 6 of us back after 45 minute wait and stuck us in a tiny room only to wait another 30 minutes to be seen one by one! It was very uncomfortable and a horrible experience. Go to the Fraser one on Groesbeck. Way better.

There has now been three different instances pertaining to the people I care about that have had a horrible experience with this facility including myself. Three Strikes and You're Out, Concentra in Warren. The concentra in Troy is worth the extra drive in order to get the care you need, because the staff at this location is EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. The most recent experience was so upsetting, I finally took the time to write a review. I had taken my significant other for treatment at this facility. The two hour wait that was about to take place was not nearly as upsetting as the way the staff spoke to him. The first woman who assisted him in with the paperwork was not a problem. I wish I had gotten a name on the second woman, though, because she needs to be retrained on patient confidentiality, and professionalism. I could hear the conversation about by boyfriend's malady from the middle of the waiting room. As he was filling out his forms, I informed him that they won't be treating him. He then clued in to the fact they they were openly talking about him. She then publically addressed him infront of the full waiting room, letting him know that they could not treat him. We were not pleased and embarassed, and vocalized this on the way out. We were then treated by another facility. While waiting for the doctor, my boyfriend recieved a phone call from that same woman, nurse, whatever she is. She left him a voicemail to return her call because she had some questions. He returned the call to find out that she knew of her approach and did not have all of her facts straight and that he can return for treatment. HA. NO. Never again. Never there. You are a disgrace to the medical field, Miss. Your job is to treat the injured. Insured or not. These people are suffering. Your candor was not appreciated. I'd suggest a job where you don't have to work with the public.

Do NOT go here for a sprain or muscle problem. This was posted by a Google user...guess what? It's them! I went for my knee..said it was a sprain...it was a ripped meniscus! I had to have surgery! I took it upon myself to get a second opinion because I have had sprains and it didn't feel like a sprain. Now today my son goes in with a mole that is bleeding. Doc comes in laughing thinking it's funny. My wife is applying for a green card. They would not accept the vaccination card we presented them, resulting in repeating vaccinations that we had proof of having, which included a TB test, which will give a false positive after having the vaccination. When having her blood drawn there was so much bleeding afterwards that it was unclear if they had used a pitchfork or a spoon to extract the blood samples. Lastly the flu shot she received gave her the flu. $500.00 later we expect there to be a follow up x-ray because of the false TB indication. I advise anyone to travel to Detroit in search of a green card doctor.

I had to go here for a drug test when I was on unsupervised probation (moved form up north, very minor charge). I asked them if they would be able to fax the results to my PO and they said no problem. I gave them all the info they'd need for it. It also cost me $60 dollars for a 5 panel drug test!! That's insane when I can buy one for a quarter of the price of Walgreens!! A few weeks later I get a call from my PO office for another drug test order and they mentioned they never received the results of my last drug test. WHAT?!? I was pissed! I could of been arrested and thrown in jail because of this! I called them and yelled over the phone about their incompetence. I'm surprised they faxed the info over immediately after that. I'm glad I did my research for my second drug test facility! Not only did it end up being HALF the price, the results were instant and sent immediately to my PO. If they can't even do a simple fax when it's needed to be done, I cannot imagine how atrocious the medical care is here! I hope they don't mix up medications and kill someone DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR HEALTH!!

Bad care received here! I went in with a terrible cough, chest congestion, and fever that I had been having for 5 days straight and it was getting worse. The doctor saw me and checked some things but said she didn't think there was much she could do for me and thought it was just a cold, even though I had of temperature of 101 in the office. I asked her if it could be bronchitis since I had all of the symptoms and she said she didn't think so and sent me on my way after a $40 co-pay and a $26 prescription for a cough suppressant that didn't help at all. A couple days later I still had all of the symptoms and a terrible cough so I went to a different doctor where they immediately diagnosed me with Bronchitis with bad inflammation and put me on an antibiotic. Did not like the care I received here when I knew that it wasn't just a normal cold!

I have been coming to Concentra for years use to go the the old center in Taylor and now must go to Woodhaven per company rules. I hate going in the am hours because you can tell everyone hates their job and each other so I try to go only at night since the 2 girls they usually have (Spanish and blonde girl) are usually super friendly and speedy and make you feel absolutely comfortable. They always seem to remember me from previous years for all the randoms and physicals I must do. If I could I would only at night but unfortunately sometimes im forced to go during the daytime. If they could get the 2 night girls to work the center all day long I'm pretty sure the clinic would be far better since those 2 girls are probably the only reason people return to this center. I have told my parents and friends to come to this center but only at night if they want great service otherwise this clinic is not worth the land its built on!!

My husband was injured on the job, and I do understand that Concentra and places like it are the typical place folks are sent for drug screening, workman's comp, and the like. The place was clean and the counter staff were relatively friendly and helpful. The problem I had was with the actual medical services provided. My husband saw Dr. Christopher F. Galus, who not only did not ask appropriate questions regarding his injury, but who also gave a flimsy diagnosis, and wrote a note saying he could go back to work today...as long as he doesn't use his left arm at all. Well...he delivers uniforms and mats to businesses. You need both arms for that, say nothing of needing both arms for driving. Even those things I may have been able to overlook, but what about prescribing medication where one of the most common side effects is vertigo TO A PATIENT WHOSE MEDICAL HISTORY SPELLS OUT THAT HE IS PRONE TO VERTIGO?!? On top of that, when we called and pointed out the error, the doctor apologized and then prescribed a medication THAT HE IS ALLERGIC TO! Do you read, Dr. Galus?!? How are you allowed to treat patients without reading their personal information and medical history first? The last time my husband had vertigo, he ended up in the hospital on an I.V., I shudder to think that we could have ended up there again, had I not Googled the name of the medication we were given. So in addition to giving us a medication that was potentially very harmful, they also did NOT give us an information sheet, telling us any of the side-effects, or potentially bad drug interactions. I understand that Concentra is, in may ways, the fast food chain of the medical industry, but please don't let that stop you from taking good care of human beings. God forbid one day you are the person in need of medical help and you get someone like you as a physician. In my opinion, the whole process at Concentra is broken and needs to be fixed. After all the hands that touched that paperwork, SOMEONE should have at least read it. This entire experience was, in my opinion, ridiculous. The patient should not have to police the doctor or his office and how they do their jobs. They should just do them and do them correctly.

I'm not sure why their ratings are so low. I had a great experience (considering you only go there for medical problems). I fell hard on my hand and went to get it checked the next day, instead of going to ER. It was a Saturday, so the place was not very busy (it's much more busy Mon-Fri). It took about an hour total to fill the paperwork, check my vitals, take an X-Ray, get a doctor to look at them (with a diagnostic that was confirmed by a specialist afterward), and get a wrist-guard. I have good insurance coverage, so it was cheap, much cheaper than going to ER, for sure. The staff was super friendly and looked happy. The facility is really nice, with some good equipment. I had no problem getting a copy of the X-Rays on a CD. Would I come back there if I have another non-emergency problem? Absolutely.

I'm traveling for work and became ill (It turned out to be pneumonia). I went to the closest immediate care facility I could find which happened to be Concentra on California St. When I went inside, I was concerned about how busy they were. I've had far less busy primary family doctors that have rushed me out the door. Also, I had a long wait time before I could see a doctor. They thought it might be two hours before I could get in and out, but that's hardly their fault. They were well staffed and seemed to work fast. The man who treated me was a nurse practitioner (last name Lee). He was fantastic. He genuinely seemed to care about everything I was saying. When he thought it might be a good idea to do a chest x-ray and a breathing treatment, there was zero pressure. He made sure I was completely comfortable with anything he was suggesting and made it very clear it was my choice. I've had many doctors in the past do these things without asking or by putting a lot of pressure on me which always makes me think they just want to bill my insurance for as much as they can. Not Mr. Lee! Also, the rest of the staff that I interacted with at the front desks and the girl/nurse who brought me to see the Dr. were very polite and helpful. The same goes for the guy who brought me to do my chest x-ray. I wish I could have gotten everyone's name so I could call them out here, but they were all great. If bedside manner is important to you and you want someone to really listen to how you're feeling, I highly recommend going to Concentra and requesting Mr. Lee. I really hope the next time I fall ill it happens in San Francisco.

I was there at 10 AM for a walk-in and they had an estimate of a 40 minute wait. I didn't get into a room until 2:00 and didn't get done with my appointment until 3:00. The doctor seemed fine but the supporting staff didn't seem to know what they were doing and never informed me there was a delay. I finally got a bill a few weeks later from Concentra and found that they spelled my name wrong and didn't enter my insurance information. I called and had it straightened out only to find they don't have a way to pay online. Would not recommend this or go back.

Fair service. I'm just back from Concentra Urgent Care after being instructed by my travel health insurance to go there to check a eye redness condition. I waited about one hour to be seen by the doctor but the staff was very polite and reasonably efficient. The actual consultation lasted for a few minutes and met my expectations. A nurse checked my sight, temperature and blood pressure first. The doctor came in after that, eye balled my eyes, gave me the diagnostics (blood cot), explained the causes and consequences and sent me home.

Stay AWAY from this place! unprofessional, incompetent and unsympathetic! I have to start by saying that I usually don't write reviews but I thought you all should know this. I had some stomach pain and nausea. I called Concentra at this location to check whether or NOT they had the equipment and were able to diagnose APPENDICITIS. The lady on the phone said " We SURE have the equipment and our doctors would be able to give you a diagnosis" After waiting for almost an hour to be seen, a Nurse Practitioner walks into my room and says "WE DON'T HAVE THE EQUIPMENT THAT IS NEEDED TO DIAGNOSE APPENDICITIS AND BASED ON WHAT I HEAR YOU MIGHT HAVE APPENDICITIS". She also asked if I sign a couple of documents on my way in and if I was asked multiple questions at the check in desk but this NEVER happened. She said the only thing they could MAYBE do for me is reimburse me for the visit. They did not offer to call a cab for me or an ambulance. I was in so much pain and could not believe what was happening. I got to the emergency room and was diagnose with Appendicitis. According to the doctors I had surgery right on time. There was some liquid already out but thankfully everything went well at the hospital. The moral of the story here when going to Concentra NEVER trust the person on the phone, the person at the check in desk, the person checking your insurance card, the NURSE or even better STAY AWAY from this place!

The one time I had to go in there, the place was overcrowded and understaffed. I had to wait nearly 3 hours for the doctor to see me, one and a half hours of that time - in the exam room. The doctor only glanced at my problem (ingrown toenail) and announced the diagnosis - never even touching my foot and examining it correctly. I was diagnosed with toe infection and set on round of antibiotics for 10 days. After that time my toe was only marginally better, so I went to another doctor who after a proper check, figured out what it REALLY was and had me undergo a procedure right away. TL;DR Long wait, inattentive doctor, misdiagnosis. Might be the circumstances or bad day, but I won't be going back there anytime soon.

I got respect from one staff employee the entire visit. From the front staff's remarks to extensive questioning seeing if I was actually sick was actually was more sickening then who in pain and uncomfortable I actually was! Then from the doctors attitude, that he was busy when he was a doctor was even more disappointing and unacceptable! The staff behaved as if they didnt want to be there let alone deal with any customers! Maybe it's because it was in middle age and socially accepting and because of my tattoos or piercings. Whatever the case may be every paying customers, client, person should still deserve respect half of the customers that were in there I felt that I was clearly disrespected l. Showed up for a pre placement physical and drug screening. Called to make an appointment and was advised none was needed, just to show up before 4. As I write this review, I've been sitting in the lobby for 3 hours and 40 minutes. Save yourself a full day and go to a location in the county. Especially if you're fasting for blood work, like me.

This is the slowest "Urgent Care" facility I have ever been too! I've been here twice and both times sat in the lobby for over 2 hours before seeing the doctor. Once I was admitted and saw the doctor, the doctor was nice and helpful but rushed through seeing me like I was in line at a grocery store. I pray that I was diagnosed correctly so that I never have to go here again!

If you can avoid Concentra, do so. On March the 1st, I went to Concentra to compete a pre-employment physical (bloodworm, shots, vitals, etc.). Everything went fine after waiting for about an hour to be seen by three different employees. I was told to come back to get my TB results on Thursday the 3rd. I came back on Friday, in and out, and was told that the results would be sent to the company on at that moment. However, on Monday (March the 7th) the company still has no received anything from Concentra. I called Concentra asking for them to send the records to the company and one of their employees first says, "If you can remember the name of the employee who said that they can send the records for you of Friday, please give us a call back with the name. Otherwise, I can't help you because I wasn't there." So before she hangs up I say that it doesn't matter who it was, it was never sent, can you send them now. Which she replies, "I can send them for you yes; however, because we are busy I can't do it right now or promise to do it within the hour. I can only promise that if will be done before the end of the day." Keep in mind that they didn't send it yet and this is a place that is open 24 hours a day. However, she also stated that I would have to come in and sign in in order to get the paper work sent faster. In my perspective, this is simply laziness at its best with a serious lack of care. I am pretty sure if it was the other way around and she was waiting on employment because I didn't send the records, she would also be pretty irate. Therefore, avoid Concentra by all means possible. Companies should stop sending candidates to Concentra if they want to get their candidates to start work faster - or on regular time for that matter. Concentra does not follow through and the wait is most of the time too long. Customer service is not consistent, either. After speaking with Margaret Hanley the supervisor on shift there (called at 11:00am on March the 7th, 2016), she stated she would handle the situation, ensure that she follows up on any possible pending results, and send the records over herself (if the there were no pending results and everything is complete) within a couple of hours. Throughout the entire encounters over the phone, the employee were not very helpful, ignorant, and did not exhibit any kind of care or sympathy. Again horrible customer service even from the supervisor. Will update review later. 12pm same day, Just received a call from employer that they received most of my paperwork. Process was still a headache but I am thankful that Ms. Hanley solved the issue as promised.

I was visiting friends in North Little Rock when I visited Concentra (North Little Rock) for a back injury. I saw Dr. Adametz. There was no diagnostic examinations done, but I was given a prescription for a non-narcotic, anti-inflammatory medicine. After taking the medicine for two days as directed, I began to notice side-effects, not to mention the medicine wasn't effective to begin with. I called Concentra and asked if I could come back for a follow-up, as there are no other urgent care facilities in the area and I didn't want to visit an ER. I was told that I could, so I went back a second time and saw Dr. Hickson. She flat refused to examine me further, nor did she change my prescription. As I was not a resident of AR and didn't have a PCP, I was forced to visit an ER where my problem was correctly taken care of. It was bad enough that I had to visit Concentra twice for essentially nothing, but both doctors (Adamezt and Hickson) had poor attitudes. They didn't seem the least bit caring about my situation, rushed through my visits, refused to perform diagnostic tests, and refused to treat me further when what little they tried didn't work. My guess is they thought I was just lying to get pain medicine, but that is no excuse. I cannot recommend Concentra Urgent Care.

He was very unprofessional and needs to retire. U have never been through something like this. I was shocked. He is working for the employer not the employees. I will never go back to this very rude place. He then threatened my job for asking for a day and a half to recover. He would not even let me see my x rays. Rudest doctor I have ever met. This has been the single worst healthcare experience I have ever had. One day on my break I decided to go in about some trouble I was having, after a lengthy wait, I was finally called into the patient rooms. After another generous wait the doctor appeared, to who I described my symptoms. The doctor could not come to a solid conclusion and recommended to me one of three tests. I asked the doctor the natural question, "How long is the wait, and how long do these tests take?" In response, the doctor was completely dumbstruck. The doctor had no idea and seemed offended that I even asked. I insisted on an answer to my question, so the doctor proceeded to disappear for 15 minutes, after which the doctor told me how long the wait times and how long the procedures take. The other natural question that came to mind was "How much do these tests cost?" again, the doctor was completely dumbfounded and visibly annoyed at my inquiry. The doctor proceeded to disappear again for about 20 minutes. Upon the doctors return I had spent enough time sitting there to have taken any of the three tests, however my break was now over and I was unable to take any of these tests. I was left waiting in another room while the doctor "did some paperwork" for about 15 minutes until I was forced to leave rather than be late to work. And to top it all off I got a 200$ bill in the mail. I am to pay these people, who did absolutely nothing to me, and who I already paid 40 dollars upon entry to their disgusting waiting room, an additional 200 for this wretched experience? No thanks . Do not come here. Concentra is trash.

I tried to go to the Walgreen's walk in clinic on Donnelson while on travel, but Walgreen's would not see me and sent me to Concentra. They were pretty nice, (and competent), but they did not accept by Blue Cross medical insurance which is the reason for four stars instead of five. I did have to wait 45 minutes to be seen, but that was because they were trying to process my insurance. However, it turns out you can pay them in advance and it was only $150.00. That is a lot of money until you need care urgently which I did. It was the standard medical history questionnaire, followed by weight, blood pressure, temperature reading. Then the nurse practitioner came in. She was polite and competent, looked over the results of my MRI, gave me advice and wrote me a prescription. As I was checking out, she sent the nurse to take a few photos of my injury and said she would send them to an orthopedic surgeon friend for his input. She called our hotel the next morning to say "cut your travel plans short, get home, and go straight to the emergency room." We did exactly as she said. Things didn't turn out to be completely grave, but I was impressed that she actually did a followup call.

If I could give them zero stars I would have. These people are so terrible. From the time you walk in the door they lie right to your face. Ask the question "how long will it be?" and they will tell you 30 minutes. Two hours later, same question, 30 minutes. I went three times on different days to get a drug test. Two hours the first time. 30 minutes each time after. Never, ever again. I got my paperwork and called my job and said we're going some where else. I'm lucky I can do that - most of the poor slobs sitting in the waiting room for 4 hours didn't have any option. Everybody there when I arrive waited four hours. The staff is friendly the whole time they are lying in your face tho! Go somewhere else. This is NOT an urgent care clinic. My insurance was contacted and was told I would be seeing the doctor. I did not get to see the doctor during the visit. I did not receive any diagnosis but I did receive 4 prescriptions 'just to try and see' if they fix the problems. While I was originally seen very quickly, waiting for the doctor added on an extra hour. I did see the PA, who told me I would get to speak to the doctor originally. When I finally got to talk to the doctor about this, he simply told me that he could not see me if I didn't pay twice and that they had people to report to. I am in terrible amount of pain and the level of care and compassion they provided was non existent. A negative description is always short to describe this facility. They are "doctors" exhausted of their profession, I can say that for the way they proceed. I needed an X-ray for my knee, it was a joke, you can't see the knee clearly because the hand of one of them was also in the X-ray. The answers were rude and sarcastic.I also came with a throat infection, the doctor was recently smoking at the time he assist me.But the worst, was the pain they cause to my knee with a movement they did. After that visit my recovery was almost 11 months.I was very close to take this case to court, but instead I focused on my health. I go in every year for a physical, and make an appointment far in advance. The shortest wait time I've had was 45 minutes. The longest was close to 2 hours. The waiting room is always crammed with contagious people under a blaring television. I have no major complaints about the staff, there just aren't enough of them to keep up with their clients. The doctors are so rushed that they talk a mile a minute; most seem distracted. Recently, they've decided to cut corners further and only draw one vial of blood for lipid panels. Consequently, after my last visit, I got a call telling me that they didn't get enough blood and that I'd have to fast and show up again. Since my Agency has a contract with Concentra, I have no choice but to go once per year, but I wouldn't go on my own dime. Santa Fe Family Health Center somehow manages to do even worse. UltiMed isn't bad. Alas, "not bad" is awfully good in terms of health care in New Mexico.

Thursday July 16th, I was referred to this office for a simple drug test. When I arrived, the office was full of patients. I was told it would take 45 minutes, from beginning to end, for the entire process to be complete. Fortunately I had the time however the last drug test I took with another company had me in and out in less than ten minutes and I received my results on the spot. A gentleman who came in after me complained to the staff that the process shouldn't cause that long of a wait and being a nursing student, I thought that very instance myself. I waited and my sample was taken. The tester who took my sample said that it would be tested in a machine on site and sent to another lab for processing. I could expect results in a couple of days. I received a call from Concentra's survey center about my experience and I gave a good review. Yesterday I contacted my employer who said they received my test results as "inconclusive" and was therefore disqualified for employment. Confused, I contacted Concentra immediately and after waiting 15 minutes and being on hold several times, finally talked to someone who said tests are NOT done at Concentra but my sample was forwarded elsewhere. Concentra referred me to eScreen in Overland Park, KS. I spoke with Tonja who said my sample was never received. When I contacted Concentra again (after another long wait and multiple transfers) with the new information, they determined that Fed Ex (the company they use for express shipping) was at fault. Concentra is offering to do another drug test however I don't trust this company and now my original sample is invalid and lost. I would encourage companies and employees to use other drug testing sites if possible.

The good news: Front Desk was superb, the clinic was very clean and the MA was great. The bad news: The doctor was more concerned about why I didn't go to my PCP and filling out his paperwork to offer any sort of diagnosis besides, "it's a virus. wait it out". Oh, and, "we don't recommend cough medicine". OK so they are coughing, had fevers (not with his thermometer), loose stools, very painful sore throat, huge amounts of mucus and headaches and you have nothing to offer by way of symptom relief? Great people, very respectful, especially coming from the downtown St. Louis location to this one in St. Charles. Only problem is this address is wrong on Google. They moves to a stand alone urgent care at 1794 Zumbehl rd. No longer in the medical building on Wall St.

I wish there was a negative star to give. Went right when they opened. I was having a allergic reaction to bug bites and I was in pain and swelling up quickly. Very rude front desk told me it would be 90 minute wait. When I asked if I could see someone sooner because of the pain, she called some guy over who told me that I would be fine and it definitely wasn't mosquito bites. Nobody believed me and seemed totally put out by helping me. If the goal of your business is not to be bothered, I will help you out. I will never be back nor will anyone else I relay this story to. By the way, the place I ended up going said it was good I came in right away as I was having a severe allergic reaction. Now that I have found a urgent care that actually cares and does not feel put out by patient well being, I will be fine.

After taking 45 minutes just to enter my information in the computer with one person telling the other to tab over, hit enter, etc.. I was seen for all of about 5min and sent home with a prescription. They did not even offer a diagnosis. (Sinus infection or similar, I think) Total time spent was just under 2 hours. In the end they also almost kept my drivers license and healthcare card because they couldn't figure out how to scan them into the system. I had to ask for them back on my way out.

similar circumstances as the others; waited for 2 hours or so for a regular company drug test which take 5 minutes. People behind the counter have no idea how to run their software and actually had my company tell them how to enter our information into their database.

Showed up at between 330-4 o clock on a Friday. And was told I probably wouldn't be able to get a d.o.t. physical in. OK..... Ended up rescheduled for Monday@ 2. Got there at 2 and it took 45 min to be seen. Then after the eyexam and urinalisys, waited in a room for about an hour and actually fell asleep for a about 45 waiting on a Dr to make me turn my head and cough. Left out of there at about 430. :/ improvements definitely need to b made.

Concentra South Richmond sets a new standard for dreadfully apathetic customer service, or rather lack thereof. Exams are only completed after hours of waiting. The staff is lackadaisical with record keeping and unable to provide timely documentation when requested. Employers would do well to have occupational testing done elsewhere. This place has worse customer service than Comcast, and that's really saying something.

Do not go here if you have an injury. Had a crush injury to my foot and had them X-ray it. Said nothing was wrong and when I asked to be referred to an orthopedic surgeon, they denied me and said to come back in a week. A week later I came back -foot still severely swollen... And again they said it was fine and STILL would NOT refer me! I finally saw a surgeon 2.5 weeks after the injury and need MAJOR surgery! Because I waited so long to see someone, I may have lifelong chronic pain and arthritis. I understand these doctors aren't specialist but what makes me so angry is that they wouldn't refer me to someone when I requested it and after coming back no better a week later. This is malpractice and may be taking further action.

I had a good experience here and I am a fairly critical person. The front desk person could definitely use some better training for people skills, she was not enthusiastic but did inform us of our total time to be treated which was helpful. Companies should realize how important their front-line people are - 1st impressions are critical.

Concerta Urgent Care on S Tryon is full of employees who simply do not care. It is evident from the way they look at you and talk to you that they do NOT genuinely care about your health concerns or the reason for your visit. They neglected to tell me that I'd have a wait time of 1.5hours. As I'm sitting there, struggling to breathe, i finally decide I'm going to ask for a refund of my copay and just go elsewhere. There were two women, who had been calling to people over the counter, instead of letting the patient come up to the counter in order to maintain their privacy. They insist that I'm next so I wait. The girl who took my vitals was nice and the only pleasant part of the visit. The doctor came in after about another fifteen minutes with a very clear "i wish i was anywhere but here" look on her face and a slight attitude. After listening to me breathe and asking if i fell or slept weird, she informs me that she's giving me pain meds and sending me home. I'm in shock and disbelief that after almost two hours, not only did i have to deal with attitudes, but the doctor didn't even tell me what was wrong with me! Or administer any tests to find out! After a slight protest from me, she orders an xray to look at my left ribs and lung (something she initially had no intention of doing). It seemed like a last ditch effort to actually give a crap about why I'm in pain and can't breathe deeply, stand up straight, or roll over without wincing. I will NEVER revisit this not-so-urgent care location again! Just horrible! This staff should reconsider the profession they're in!

I have been to the South Blvd location multiple times - each time they have billed me directly versus billing my insurance company. I've then had to waste time calling their customer service (which are just as useless as the actual location) just to get it fixed. However, my last visit I have now had to call TWICE because they keep saying they bill my insurance and its denied but my insurance has not received ANY claims from them period. The wait times are horrendous! I have been the first person to sign in and have still had to wait 30 minutes only to spend 2 minutes with a nurse and 2 minutes with a doctor. Other times I've waited 2+ hours.

I came on Easter Sunday as this was the closest urgent care that was even open. The lady in the front was quite nice and informed me ahead of time that it may take 3 hrs from check-in to check out. I was called in after about 1 1/2 hours. The nurse and Dr. Jackson were extremely nice and very fun to chat with. The doctor was great with explain how to care for my wound after discharge. Went to this location for a drug screening for my job. My husband has to do his physical here for work every year. He was made to feel terrible by the "doctor" here. He lost over 100 pounds with diet and exercise. She said "see you next year when you gain it all back". I know she was probably jealous because of her weight but she should have kept that to herself. Then she made him do alot of unnecessary tests from conditions he had 6 years prior. Just alot of passive aggressive comments and unnecessary tests that cost us time and money. From now on we will go to another location .

After reading the other reviews, I was hesitant to go here; however, I'm really sick, and this was the closest urgent care that coincides with my insurance. We got there 20 minutes after it opened, and it was already busy. The staff were courteous and honest about the wait time (2 hours). Given I went on a Sunday when only one physician was on staff, especially in a season where everyone gets sick, 2 hours did not seem unreasonable. The nurses were very friendly throughout my visit. And sure enough I was there 2 hours, but I appreciated the fact I knew that from the moment I walked in.

Worst location possible. I wish that I had read the reviews before coming here. I went to this location because my soon to be employer provided this location for my physical and drug screen. Arrived at 12:30pm on a Saturday, did not get called in to see the doctor until 3:30pm. Cut off time for fedex express was 2pm so the package and label my employer provided for 1 day delivery was useless. The sample won't be sent until Monday. My start date will be pushed back now. The staff were nice however. But only one doctor at this location has made a simple task take hours to complete when it should not be like this. Did not finish until 5pm. If you like wasting time or have 4 or 5 hours to burn come here... Otherwise go somewhere else. Staff was nice.

The physician saw me for a couple of minutes, looked at me, said I had a sinus infection (I found out later I had pneumonia) talked to me about Kissinger, and gave me a what was clearly a canned speech he had given a million times before.."I recommend drinking Orange Juice, because while the science is out on the efficacy of Vitamin C I don't think it could hurt and it might help" So not only did I get about 2 minutes of medical advice 1 of those was "maybe drink juice" and the other was the state of Chinese politics.

Executive Summary - A couple of good employees here are weighed down by the boat anchor that is the vast majority of their staff. I hope you love wasting hours of your life at every turn. I waited for three hours, watching people who came in after me get seen before me. Love that feeling. I finally got in, and the seemingly lead nurse, a man, was very friendly and knew what he was doing. Got my blood with one stick, pretty good compared to most. The physician was friendly and quick as well. Getting my final paperwork wasn't horribly slow. Then I called back for results 8 days later. After getting cycled through a few people, they just left me on hold for quite a while. It would ring back, they'd pick up and throw me right back on hold. I let it sit there while I worked on something else, and eventually someone who gave a hoot picked up and checked my file for me.

Pathetic customer service, the women filling out paperwork are incredibly rude, they don't care about doing their job in a timely manner, complete negligence and awareness of who is waiting for what. Did I mention they are rude? The nurses in the back act like they don't want to be there. The doctor was the exception, he seemed knowledgeable and professional and ready to get me in and out as fast as possible to not waste time. Not sure who's in charge but they aren't doing a very good job. Don't come here unless you ABSOLUTELY have to, and if you do, be ready to wait a long time if you aren't bleeding on the floor. Slight exaggeration but I'm sitting in the lobby still waiting to leave when I saw the doctor almost an hour ago.
